Synopsis: Black Swan has given her smurf's time off for bad behaviour. They've decided to visit the carnival. While there something a bit more sinister is uncovered.

Arc is now complete.

Made an Elec/Shield Brute. Not sure how this is going to work out, but I definitely wanna see how I can pull off the 2 teleport attacks.

But what about exemptions to this fix. Thats what most of us want to know about. We already know its possible for some exemptions because there have been reports that the defender lightning storm still behaves the same as on live as on test yet the controller/corrupter/mastermind version of the power is now uneffected by recharge. I do think at the very least if you are making the powers not take recharge any more and if they arent able to be targeted anyways then maybe you can up the damage or change the recharge itself. I just really hate for lightning storm to become worthless outside of boss/av fights.

Powers like Lightning Storm, Voltaic Sentinel and Auto Turret are precisely the powers that were targeted by this fix. Making exemptions for them would defeat the purpose, don't you think?

No one I know wanted thermal. Everyone of them wanted a real secondary to be added that didn't just act as a grab bag of other sets already available. Dark, Cold, Traps, would it have killed them to add a controller secondary that someone may have wanted?

I wouldn't call that good backstory. I would call that a story idea someone had and it was then passed off to someone with poor writing skills.

Every AT gains at least 1 powerset -- Masterminds only get a Secondary, no new Primary. Brutes get 2 new Primaries, and 1 secondary. Everyone else gets 1 Primary and 1 Secondary.

Quick question. Do the Nova and Dwarf toggles still detoggle you from all other toggles? Or do they just act kinda like Phase Shift now and just cease affecting anything?

One of my biggest problems with the powers has always been the detoggle of all other powers when the khelds first came out. I've been away for quite some time and recently came back in the past few months, but hadn't done any experiments to see yet and thought you may know the answer as to whether it got changed without a copy to test for me.

Also I'm giving some thought on the presence pool. My most recent respec I picked Neb form back up, but its still been just as useless to me as it was when all phase powers got changed. I was considering picking up provoke and 4 slotting it with the Perfect Zinger set. This would both protect my pets, give me an extra 5% recharge, and I could put the Psi damage proc in it for a little extra occasional chance at some AoE.

The only problem is I would have to drop CJ as I'm maxed on pools already.

Will have to send you my current build. I was farming better than some fire/kins this weekend.

Sniff, makes me miss my competitions with an old friend. I'd use propel or sing slotted for knockback. She would power thrust.

In the end it was a draw, but I never actually had to touch them to send them to splatter on the war wall.

There are definitely some things that were far more entertaining without ED, that didn't involved min/max builds mowing through mobs while street sweeping. :P

The character and all rights to them within the CoH gameworld are Cryptic's. That means that you personally cannot theoretically profit from them. That fallacy is tossed out the window the moment you do an eBay search for City of Heroes. People put alot of time into their characters and they rightfully feel that time is worth something to them. Completely changing the way a character acts can make the character no longer enjoyable to person that created it.

In the end, Jack, like any [censored] DM owns the game world and its his baby. He doesn't own the characters or the backgrounds of said characters. He only owns the representation of them in his game world. If I happen to enjoy playing said character in his game world then that's all fine and good. The moment he feels the need to change said character to the point I or its creator no longer identifies with it, its all his to do with as he wishes as far as I'm concerned.

Any number of [censored] DMs have decided to take over PCs of disgruntled players and do as they wish with them within their own game worlds. It's their world, they can do as they please. They can't expect those of us that don't enjoy it to continue playing in said game world. Most of us live in free countries and we can do whatever we want.

I feel for ya, really I do, but the people that can do something about it and actually fix things don't give a rats [censored] about any of our opinions unless it mirrors their own. I haven't respec'd any of my characters. Why you ask? Because the characters in need of the respec now aren't my characters, they're Jack's characters. Why should I give a rats [censored] about someone else's characters?
