My impression on the mission teleporter is that it should be mainly used for those out of the way places like Dark Astoria, Boomtown, Perez Park, Independence Port, and Crey's Folly where it would take a good 5 minutes to get there by walking. There is the Oro Portal, Pocket D teleporter, and Base Teleporter to get to the mission doors faster. Using the mission teleporter for every mission would make it too overpowered.
Although I wouldn't mind having the mission teleporter shortened to one hour because 30 minutes would make the other teleporters pointless.
[/ QUOTE ]
Personally, I don't think the length of recharge should be based on other portals available. Basically, not everyone has the use of SG portals, Ouro portal you need to be a minimum of lvl 25 or it's of no use and many toons that can really benefit from a mission portal are the lower end toons that haven't even reached travel power level yet. And sure, they can get the temp powers but we all know they are slow and cannot be enhanced.
I would seriously like to see the recharge time shortened though because of situations I was in just yesterday. My contact was in IP, he game me a mission in Dark Astoria so I happily used my mission portal power but I finished the mission in much less time than 2 hours and the silly contact still hadn't given me a cell phone number so I had to trudge back to IP from the far end of DA. Yes, I do have a travel power but at level 28 it is still relatively slow and SJ in DA is just a pain in the neck anyway. Even a recharge of one hour would be more reasonable IMO. -
I love the new shinies in this pack but I am disappointed at the 2 hour recharge on the mission teleporter. I understand and accept it should be a long recharge but an hour seems more reasonable. Also, why is the icon the same as the Fly power icon? That just doesn't make sense at all.

For all of you folks wishing to grab the special in-game items that come with the Mac Special Edition
[/ QUOTE ]
you mean pc users?..im confused..if im not on a mac then wouldnt i be a pc user?
if i buy this for my pc it will work?..and my paid time is up on the 21st..will this go into effect the 21st for the free month?
your words arent clear for me...can i use this or not on a pc for accounts already working or am i buying a new account?
[/ QUOTE ]
It works on the PC now and it saves $5 over the cost of waiting the 2 months since it comes with a free month of game time. When you purchase the serial code it gives you the option of applying it to your existing account or to create a new account. -
Oooooh my Sunday time schedule has changed now so I can join in again soon.
Yay! -
Thanks for the update. She's tough and has good parents and that helps the battle so much.

Trainers (or a single co-op trainer) in Pocket D would be nice for when someone levels up during all the BNY grinding, and/or during the Valentine's day stuff.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes! Please put a trainer in Pocket D even if it is just temporary for the events. -

I don't believe halos should be auras at all. They either belong under hats (assuming you can fix the hair issue) or under Head Detail 1. Why should I get screwed out of using a regular aura when I finally do hit 30? I had my angel's 'heavenly aura' already picked out in my head and now I'll have to decide between that and a halo. Not fair. Put em under Head Detail 1 and you solve all the problems people seem to have with them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Same thing with the ear muffs. Why are they under Detail 1 and not hats? Having to choose one or the other I can't keep my ears warm and protect my eyes from the blinding snow at the same time. This is poor design IMO. -
I would like to see the shinies from any event be more attainable for those of us who have and play many, many alts. Instead of having fun with the event I find myself repeating the same grind over and over just to hopefully get all the candy canes, salvage, etc. needed for all my toons. And before anyone says "just go buy them" .... that's not any fun either.
The halos that are obtainable by any level but can't be used until auras are unlocked at level 30 is pretty lame.
As for the new ski run.......it is completely out of reach for me and that is very disappointing that my badge toon has to just do without because the course was not really designed for all levels of gaming experience. Once again, I think such things should be geared to a lower common ability than to a higher one.
On the surface the Winter Event sounds and looks like a lot of fun but in reality it is a lot of repititious grinding/farming during a time when play time can be somewhat limited anyway as people are busy with other holiday activities. -
I totally agree with this. What should be filled with fun is filled with grinding that ugly baby mission or endless present clicking. And let's not forget how frustrating it is to complete the mission and not get the candy canes rewarded as has been happening far too much.

Please put the LGTF back the way it was. It added much needed TF content for the villain side 35+ and was something I and many others looked forward too.
[/ QUOTE ]
I also wish this "bug" had not been fixed. It was nice to have a TF in the zone that could be run by everyone that was high enough level to play in the zone. What is the reasoning behind making it a high-end TF only? -

Mission: Can't Remember Wasn't My Mission
Mission Contact: Can't Remember Wasn't My Mission
Bug Description: I got DC'd in the middle of the mission while chatting between /Arena and /Team channels. I was TL 33 getting ready to level before DC'ing and I think it was at the very moment I was going to level my screen froze up and the CoV window thing that asks me what happened before I DC'd came up. I logged back on it DC'd me again when I was loading up the zone and the window came up again. I typed the conditions and then I restarted my computer. I log back on successfully and when I zoned in I had "NO BARS" and I was still TL 33 -- WHAT!? I didn't see the arrow up indicator that I level'd so I checked by the Arbiter to see if it was a glitch. No good. I started the mission with 3 other people the same level and by that time they're a level ahead of me and I'm back where I started when we joined up. Someone explain to me how this could happen and if anyone else know of this bug? It wasn't a mapserver it was a forced disconnection or something.

I lost 2 full levels of XP and it wasn't even a disconnect. I simply logged off without incident before training. Logged back in about 20 minutes later to go train and *poof* all earned XP was gone and I had less XP than I started with. (see my post above for more details)
So far all I can get from CS is they have no idea what happened. -

I spent 3 hours working this toon from level 18 to level 20. I had about 1 bar of Patrol XP when I started. The missions run were not mine and I was not a leader. I was not sidekicked but for one short field hunt I exemplared the leader. I did not train at each level but was waiting to train up all at one time. I logged out for about 15-20 minutes and when I logged back in and went to the trainer I found I had lost my earned and patrol xp. I was set back to level 18 without any xp earned or the original patrol xp I had when I started.
This was very discouraging to me to lose the 2 levels I had spent hours gaining. -
And to you Ditzy Blonde, whatever! I was merely adding my goodbye to someone making their "I'm quitting" speech once again. Your common sense is questionable however, since you know NOTHING about me and what I am informed on or what I do! How would you know whether I can farm or not? Or if I even WANT to farm. Personally, I don't because it is boring. As for PvP I say very little because I choose not to PvP but it certainly does not make me anymore "right" than those who do. And where do you get off claiming I even once posted a "ooooo I'm a helpless girl that need a sugar daddy" post? I ask nothing of you or anyone. You call me uninformed? I wonder where you got your information on that one? And just a little FYI.....I have played issue 13 on test. Funny that you are so "informed" about me that you did not know that. So in your own words.....be constructive or be quiet. Your post added nothing in that regards whatsoever.

In any case, I have said my piece, canceled my subscription and made other plans for my indoor time in December. I will check back in January to see if everyone has come to their senses or if I am gone for good.

Most of the negative feedback over flight poses is that they don't stick, and that you can't set the Hover poses (and, again, have them stick.)
[/ QUOTE ]
You gotta go back to the original comments on them, when they were random or cycled through the options sequentially. Even today, some of you guys have strong feelings about certain flight poses (or all of the current options) not fitting the image of their character that they have in their noggin. I would expect walks to elicit much the same type of response. Compounding that is aside from making a different walk for the male, female, and huge body types the possiblity of doing multiple styles of walking for each is so un-feasible it's essentially impossible.
[/ QUOTE ]
Interestingly enough, I don't care what position I am in when I fly. It is just a means to get from point A to point B. I never notice if anyone is using different flight poses either. I would like Hover changed though but that has been hashed around so much and it's certainly not worth huge amounts of time IMO. -
For a player who just earned a lower level vet reward you sure have plenty to say about what "everybody" likes and dislikes.
You are not being pushed out of the game, you are choosing to leave it because you disagree with the way the developers are taking the game. Everything they are putting in is entirely optional. This same kind of doooom was cried when Invention sets were introduced because the casual gamer couldn't easily afford the more sought after sets. But guess what.....it was discovered that many people continue to play with simple SO's and they do just fine. If you don't want to run Tfs by all means you do not have to. And don't assume that everyone hates longer TFs. Maybe you don't like them but that certainly doesn't mean everyone does. Not everyone hates story arcs and perfers radio missions.....I for one get tired of running radio missions all the time.
But what I am most tired of is all the whining and complaining going on in the boards. Nothing ever done will please everyone and if you think the majority of the playerbase is unhappy with these changes, unhappy enough to quit the game, you are mistaken. These boards represent a relatively small part of the player base and even those that are here the people dissatisfied are far more vocal and apt to post then someone who is not.
Do I like everything about all the changes that have come along since I started the game? Heavens no, but the game still wins out overall and I continue to play and have fun with my game friends and I don't sweat the other stuff. -
Thanks for the update and of course, still in my thoughts and prayers.

others for seemingly trivial occurrences.
[/ QUOTE ]
Those "seemingly trivial occurrences" most often have much larger reasons behind them that the ones fired have no idea about.
[/ QUOTE ]
Considering that it's my job to investigate these claims, I'd say I have a pretty good idea what I'm talking about.
Best Example: I had a guy working for a defense contractor (that will go unnamed) who was fired because he didn't ask his boss for permission to go to lunch. You'd think there would be something deeper to this, right? Nope. The boss was just a [censored], yet well within his rights to do what he did.
There isn't always a larger reason. Sometimes you get fired because your boss has a petty personality conflict... or you're just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I wish you well in whatever you move on to and go knowing that so many here will miss you. It was a pleasure meeting you at Hero Con and thank you again for helping make such a memorable birthday surprise for my son. We are both sad that you won't be at the next con.

She is a beautiful little girl SS. Today, the choral group I sing with here in SLC sang at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new expansion to the Huntsman Cancer Institue. As I was listening to the speakers and all, my thoughts kept turning to you and your little Anna. It does my heart good to hear she is coming through this so well and I will continue to keep her and your family in my prayers for continued success.
