You can also tie Rage or some other power to the SHIFT key and have some powers be triggered by SHIFT + 1 ... 5 or something. That way Rage will auto fire anyway when you press SHIFT.

Yes, but only when people show some level of respect for each other, and there is some fairness in the picking of targets (e.g., if two large groups clash, one person being targeted by a bunch is fine, but when its a solitary person who is obviously not in a group being swarmed by a dozen, that is not fine).
