  1. Yeah that's the one...I coulda sworn I remembered a starshot pattern on it or something similar. She shows up randomly in mayhems and is one of the heroes that pop up in the cape mission villain-side.

Thanks a lot for indulging my sillyness Scuzzbopper.

Incidentally, how did you get her to mug for you like that?
  2. Hey all,

This may sound a bit nutty but does anyone have a screenshot of Overdrive's cape? Specifically the pattern on the outer cape.

Now I bet you're asking why I want this. I have a character concept, an evil Killbot who was destroyed by Overdrive and tossed in a junkyard. BUT.....The AI chip survived and slowly hobbled itself together a new body from spare robot parts in the junkyard and held them on with chains.

Part of the arc for this character is when he finally faces Overdrive, he'll steal his cape to wear as a trophy. The thing is, I can't find a good screenshot of her (I think it's a her) and I'm not sure how I could conjure her on my own so...help!

    Thanks in advance.
  3. I guess I had it pretty good. One of my regular teammates used to GM D&D games so he would always make up a reason or an objective for us to be sweeping the streets.

Ex: sweeping the upper level freeway in skyway city he'd say "Okay boys, we have a diplomatic motorcade coming through this area in 10 minutes, we need to keep it as clear as we can!" then 10 minutes later he'd pick a car and have us follow it, clearing out any baddies we encountered as it went along.

Or he'd come up with a story about the CoT kidnapping people from a king's row building project and bringing them to Perez to use in rituals. We'd then hunt down the CoT spawns with the people in a green cloud.

    I miss that guy heh.
  4. Those were the days. In my infinite wisdom I rolled a spine/dark scrapper as my first character. That was rough. There were a lot of good times though. I miss street sweeping. I miss the feeling of dread you get the first time you see dark astoria, my heart jumped the first time I saw a group of BP zombies pop out of the ground in the graveyard. I remember groups getting into shouting matches in perez over ownership of the hydra spawns.

I don't miss the non-stacking DA armors. The dev's idea of "challenge" was to give more and more things status effects so the only useful armor toggle was obsidian shield, anything else was just stupid. I don't miss being outleveled by my regen friends because a) they got way less debt than I did and b) they were off taking on 8 person purple spawns while I was stuck trying to take down 4-5 white minions before they took me down.

It got a little better once I found an exploit using cloak of fear and provoke and got a few levels out of it. The old "run away" fear effect could be overcome using provoke, making them turn back to you, then the fear would kick back in and they'd start to run away, rinse/repeat until quills/death shroud killed em all. I'm not proud of it now but at the time I felt justified because it was the only way to hunt in those levels.

There's a lot of things that are better now, the same spines/da that people told me was a mistake to make is now a fuzzy wrecking ball of doom. I do sincerely miss street hunting though, I wish missions didn't give so much xp so that there would be a reason to go to perez or any other hazard zone...SIGH!

    I predicted this

So the point the OP was trying to make was that in RV stalkers will no longer be able to solo against teams (which usually form because of stalkers) without a team of their own?

The way the zone was described sounds a lot like a Battlefield 1942 map. Turrets, mobile defenses like giant robots, control points, etc. It doesn't sound like the type of zone where anyone will do well solo. It also doesn't sound like the type of zone where the point is to rack up the most kills.

I imagine stalkers will be very useful in helping a villain team take down defenses/signature heroes/giant robots while the rest of the team distracts them (hey, an actual use for MMs in a pvp zone!) as well as defending the control points the villains control. It will not be a soloers paradise like SC is.
