I've been playing CoH for 6 years and I love the game. But, I'd be lying if I didn't admit that the character generator feels dated.

For me, the most exciting part about the immersive experience is the customization of the character generator -- to be able to create my own heroes and then set them free in the game. Small details matter to me when creating characters. The choice of a face, the patterns, the costume materials, etc.

Although there have been additions to the creator over time, I feel like a the generator needs a face lift. More options for customization in all categories.

In the time since CoH was launched, other games have been entered the market and have similar character builders. Clearly they've learned from CoH, and in some cases, surpassed it.

Any plans for a major upgrade to the builder?

You know, here in the States, we get a few holiday weekends to really kick back and relax. I had my coffee poured and was really looking forward to playing before having to run around and do the stereotypical BBQ thing today with family. And CoH/CoJ decide that an optimal time to do server maintenance is on the holiday??? Times like this make me glad that within the next 6 months there will be some healthy competition in this marketplace for MMORPG superhero fans. Then CoH/CoJ can do server maintenance all day for as much as I'll care...Happy Memorial Day NCSoft!
