Building your own computer is actually very easy these days. It's mostly a matter of inserting things into the only slot they'll fit in, and putting screws in holes (though not necessarily in that order).

Well, if you upgrade as often as I do, that is.
Right now, though, you can get amazingly decent cards for $100, which I mention solely because the $100 mark seems to be a pretty common "oh crap, I need to replace this" price point. People aren't usually as willing to drop $200 to replace something.

Since the Clone debacle was almost entirely a matter of making Peter the real Peter again, one solution was to make it so there was never a clone to begin with. It'd be a really cool story if it was intended from the beginning, but they let the Clone Saga run without a solution for so long it was nearly impossible to come up with something that made sense. Too much was written without an intended conclusion.
If things were so screwed up that THIS is the sane and excellent alternative, I'm afraid.
