Either way, I have an update... the first layer of color has been applied and, with all due luck, I should be able to have it wrapped up by the end of Wednesday night / Thursday morning.

I'm trying something new and incorporating colored pencils into the mix and, so far, really loving the results. The Imperial has, so far, been the only thing to receive the colored pencils. Also, I think my scanner might be dying as so many subtle colors are missing in the scan... honestly, it looks much better in person

For my own edification:

Natural - this character is a general example of whatever race/species/etc. they are: Superman, Batman, Hawkeye.

Science - this character was caused by some outside source, like exposure to radiation, an injection, or something of that nature: Elastic Man (potion), Spider-Man (radioactive spider-bite), Hulk (gamma exposure)

Mutation - this character has some kind of biological "x-factor" that makes them different from the rest of their kind and grants them abilities: 198 characters in the Marvel Universe

Tech - this character relies on gadgets or other technology to gain their abilities: Iron-Man, Steel, various cyborgs.

Magic - this character is granted power by mystical/mythical forces: Dr. Strange, Zatanna, Ghost Rider

Well, since everyone wants to know, my commissions are going great!

Already finished was this one for Katfood.

Now, I'm currently working on something for Thor's Assassin. Inks and colours to come!

Plus, y'know... scary. That's the picture next to a news story with, "...neighbours knew there was something wrong when they noticed a horrible smell coming from the house..." in it.

See? This is much better. Drawing's its own reward!

I think it'd probably be a good idea for people to just back out of this thread before it explodes. If Lazzarus wants to start contributing art and being a part of the community, then the ball's in his court.

Let's see a few pieces of art and get some trades going.

Start drawing. Do art trades. You'll get more by being an active member of the community than you will with your hat in hand and hand out.
