I've gotten this to happen before and after the free to play patch.
I can get to the page to enter my account and password. Then I select my server (Pinnacle). Immediately after clicking Pinnacle my computer freezes completely (not even the keyboard will work). I have to power cycle my system.
I am using Win 7 64 bit. i7 CPU, 6GB RAM, 2-GTX 460 1GB video cards in SLI. Also I have Nvidia Surround setup but I don't believe this is the issue.
