I dunno...Texas BBQ is good, but so is Memphis BBQ...tough choice.
The people are friendly though, and Dallas is one of the few cities of respectable size I'd even consider living in. -

But wait, aren't we going to get lost at some point during the weekend? I mean, how can we do that without you driving

Floorman diesn't post on the forums much, but since he's traveling with me, I feel quite confident in saying he'll be there too
-
Thanks, TJ! I appreciate that! I looked over the menu, and I like the Chicken Parm...aside from making sure that's there, I have no further suggestions
-
Why did I feel compelled to post here? There was a mysterious force that called out to me and said, "Frog - your input is required." I responded to that force, "But I have nothing to say!" The force then told me, "That's quite all right! You never have anything to say, and that is why you must be here!"

1.) I'll be there (got my HeroCon ticket today, and had the flight booked over a month ago)
1a.) Banquet menu is fine
1a1.) Ummm....I haven't looked...but I'm sure I'll find something to eat this time. I'm not a sushi fan and I loved the meal last year
2.) I'll try and look at the menu and get back to you on that
3.) Friday at 7...I want to have time to enjoy San Francisco with my brother and Floorman before dinner.
I hope it's not a problem if I bring my brother and his wife again this year...
Oh, and did I miss a link to the menu? I've been pretty inactive lately, and I'm feeling lazy so I haven't looked -

Quote:I can understand this entirely...I'm at that point myself. I'm only on CoH for things that I've been committed to for a long time (Magnificent 7 superteam and Friday Night TFs with my main SG). Outside of that, I've been playing Guild Wars, as I don't need to pay a monthly fee and there's plenty to do thereSome are just people like me who are looking for something new as a change of pace. Personally I'm burned out on CoX right now. I spend more time here on the forums then actually playing the game. I just need something else to play and CO is coming along at the right time. I'm not leaving CoX just taking a needed break before I become so burned out that I hate the game.(Had that happen to a game before and I still can't play it to this day.)

I will be there, along with my best friend Floorman...got the tickets, and reservations at Chateau de Frere

So, this has been around a while, so many of you may have tried it, but I'm curious, what kind of gamer are you?
Me? This is me!
I've thrown this up a couple of other places, but this seems like the Rookery.'s cup of tea (or coffe, as you like). -

*watches as the sckboy clings tenaciously to the tiger's neck*
I think you can take him! -
*does the happy dance through the Rookery.*
Hola, folks...wish I had something to add to the confusion, but I really don't know what today's confusion is, since I haven't had the time to read what's going on today...so I'll just keep it simple and say "hi!" -
*waits patiently for his invite to the Rookery forum group*
I mean, I know I haven't been about much lately, bit I still want to be a Friend of the Rookery. (TM) -
Can one truly HAVE the dUmb?
I tend to believe the dUmb has you -
O.O
>.<

Why did I suddenly find myself here? -

I've been...learning to juggle, you could say. Between finances, work, Digital Eden, and the occasional bit of fun...well, I've learned to be creative in managing things, I'll have to say
It's not all been bad, just a bit stressful...I hope life's treating you better! -

Ahhh Neo Steam. Tried it. By the time I... oh started the game and made a character I was already SO VERY disappointed in it. It's not a steampunk game. It's a generically cutsety fantasy typcially eastern grindfest that was dropped in a vat of steampunk.
I made up a techno character, who is shown in this cool armor shooting a gun at people. I get dropped into the tutorial area where I'm tasked with killing the same nearly identical different kinds of round puffball non offensive critters with a dagger.... By the time I'm done with the tutorial stuff, I'm level 5. And nobody will give me any other quests to do until I'm level 10. The only thing I can do is continue to kill those same 3 different critters in the starting area who all share the same model.
Yeah, I uninstalled and didn't look back. It's not a steampunk game. It's a fantasy game they sprayed with some steampunk juice and hoped it stuck. I'll wait for Gatheryn, thanks.

That's disappointing to hear...I really like Atlus' work as a general rule, but I guess they screwed up big time on this one. I didn't really get the chance to look really deep into it...I just stumbled on the ad on one of my web comics, and thought of you guys
That whole level grind before you can get your first quest is irritating...I've seen it on too many games, sadly...I don't know who thinks that's a good design choice, but obviously someone does, or it wouldn't still be out there. *shrug* Maybe I just don't know what fun is -

heya, gang
Sorry I haven't been by much lately...my time has been a bit limited, so I've had to change some of my forum habits...however, I saw something today that told me I HAD to post here. I hope Rachel is still checking in from time to time, because I KNOW she'll appreciate this, and Becky prolly will too. It caught my attention because it's from Atlus, who do pretty good games, as a general rule...most notably in my book, Brigandine - one of my all time favorite games.
Anyway, enjoy, great seeing you all again -

Of course, there's also the question of what to do AFTER dinner...I'm up to play some pool like last year
