  1. Hey guys! I'm going to be hitting 50 with my Energy/Energy blaster and I want to start looking into the high-end enhancements. Which sets should I be looking for?

This will be my first 50 also, so I don't really have access to unlimited funds, but I do have the time and dedication to put together something mildly expensive.
  2. lol. There are about 30 posts in this thread that all say the exact same thing, so I'll make it 31 as my first and favorite toon has always been my Energy/Energy blaster.

I've been kicked for my knockback depending on the team makeup, and over the years I've perfected my use and I don't really hear any complaints. People don't care if they don't notice that you're scattering the mobs. So just don't scatter them. Use your knockback to make the groups tighter, or wait for the troller to hold em.

Every once in a while I'll get somebody who says "No knockback attacks guys!!" to which I always respond "You play your class, and I'll play mine. I'm an Energy Blaster, 4 out of every 5 of my attacks do knockback. Find a 'troller or shut it."

It's a great powerset, if you want to play it, you do it. There are more people who don't care about your knockback then there are people who would spaz. And if you get kicked off a team for your knockback, then that just means you got to avoid one of those spazs and can find someone who appreciates the fact that most of the baddies spend their time on their backs.
  3. Nice! That is exactly the kind of information and you nailed pretty much everything with your assumptions. I'm totally not a powergamer, but would like a better understanding of my favorite class and it's workings, which is why I came to you guys.

I will adjust the build and change BONFIRE for CHAR and also drop the recall and take AIM.

What did you mean by "you should invest in *at least* one -kb IO and slot in either hover or fire shield." What's a -kb IO? I know Invention Origin, but -kb looks to me like -Knockback
  4. Hello, this is my first time using the Hero Designer because I've never planned a character out before I levelled it. However, most of my toons are always subpar because I'm picking powers because I like them, or because they look cool... >.>

So, I planned out this toon, and I would like your opinion on the power choices and slotting. Just trying to learn here...

Invisibility and Fly are just my own choices as I love those two powers. Also, I didn't bother filling it with IOs, because honestly, I'm not at that point yet, this is simply an analysis of the build I have chosen to make sure I'm planning the character well. Thanks for your input.
