When the European version of City of Heroes is released in 2005, players who wish to use the European servers will need to purchase a European version of the game. Those with North American versions of City of Heroes will not be able to access the European servers, but will be able to continue playing on the North American servers as usual.

    [/ QUOTE ]

SO basically, no we can't, unless we want to buy the game again.

I would like to comment on this policy.

It is bad. Bad bad BAD.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Agree completely. In fact I'd go so far as to say that it's complete BS and totally unworkable.

OK, I knew there were some risks involved with importing the US version, such as not getting the comic book, but this is too much.

And I'm not even talking about the cost here... It's what it implies about the server structure that bothers me, namely that there will be no connection between the US and UK so we can't transfer our toons, and also the possibility that updates might lag behind in the UK. Paying for another copy of the game is a minor issue compared to these.

    Villain Emotes

Villain runs to the top of a small hill (that nobody noticed was there before), points dramatically at heroes and exhorts minions:
    "After them you fools!!!"

I didn't get Negotiator, though its entirely possible I simply never got that mission when I was a noob.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heh, most of my old toons have skipped the mission for that one since it's timed. And the one for Spelunker because it's so darned annoying. I guess all my new builds will have to put up with that...

    Finally found a new one!

Spelunker : Gotten on a single mission, rescuing the Fortune Teller from the CoTs, down in the caves under Perez Park, at lvl 9.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh heck. That's the most annoying of all the low-level missions, and one I've avoided taking ever since the first time I did it, and now they've put in a reason to do it anyway? That's just mean....
  5. Good collection of relevant info there. Just a couple of short comments:

    [ QUOTE ]

You are not penalized for failing a timed mission.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Except in the sense that you don't get the reward that would otherwise have come your way. And beware if it's part of a story arc. I once failed the last (timed) mission in the Wheel of Destruction arc, and I got no souvenir from it...

/bind p team I am now recalling $$target. Prepare for teleport!

    [/ QUOTE ]

There's just one $ in the $target tag. Doubles are used to seperate commands, so the above would have the result of you saying "I am now recalling "... and then nothing more.
