    I will agree with all Night says but i just want to point out that domi set is not really about the damage...will be all about delivering massive amounts of control within the field...and is well known who controls the field has the upper hand....

    He didnt say its the AT for PVP new people exclusively. What he says is that every beginner to PvPing in Co* will be taking a stalker as its the best AT for a beginner to learn the ropes around PvP zones. However a stalker in the hands of really skilled players like Stalk-obot,Hackit and Gimpy truly excel weather teamed or not and are good challenge.

    When it comes to PvPing i ll go with Identity and put it down first to skill and then to AT and team u go with in PvP. There are many premade builds out there for pvp that anyone can take...give one to a new player and he will do quite good...give one to a really skilled one and he will turn the zone to nightmare.

    As for PvP AT's i would go in the order of

    Dominator

    Corruptor

    Stalker

    Brute

    Mainly because in the later stages of pvp the game will be team based far more than it is now...stalkers as they are more designed as an individual PvP AT will have issues in teams especially in fast paced combat with ball formations and will take a lot of good coordination to perform. Dominators will be key role AT's in high level pvping and combined with corruptors and brutes will be the best combos for Lord Recluse zone teams.
  7. hmmmmm the role of a defender in a pvp team is rather tricky and you need to be prepared for what is coming...if u get furstrated easily a defender is not what you should go into a pvp zone with...The buffs coming from defenders in pvp zones make a very big difference regarding the balance of a battle...considering that with leadership pools,fort buffs,RA's,clear minds,tar patch,radiation kinetics, a defender increases the potential of a team significantly he automatically sets himself as no 1 target. Therefore he is the one to die first. It should be expected from a defender to have the biggest number of deaths within his team however it should be expected as well whatever takes the defender down to die shortly after by the team supporting him.

    I play my defender in PvP zones for two reasons. First because i duo with a pb and i keep the pb buffed at all times while she taking down enemies and is good fun to watch how my pvp build for empathy works in pvp zones. Second because is a really good practise for my reflexes against targets like stalkers.

    True..BUT!

    This team packs at least 3 tp foe carriers and also team teleport which means it kills range faster than the blasters move...Add to that that the stormies will be running around the blasters killing their acc....the rest is carnage imagery..for the same reasons corruptor teams cannot do much also...

    Although i cant make it to the Arena i just want to say thanks for all the fun we had during CoV beta and all the posts you made which were wacky as well as wise. I am sure you ll be missed on Union as well as the forums and i just want to wish u the best in green pastures of Azeroth...hopefully you will come back....scrapappocalypse will miss you greatly i am sure...     Also 8 masterminds vs 8 controllers would be a really good match but the balance favours against the trollers again. Simply because a run of the stormies around the pets floors the accuracy while the rest take out the MM's...As we also saw last night PFF hiding MM's take the amazing time of 5 sec to die....However the server wouldnt stand such a battle...

    Hmmm an 8 spines combo would be maybe the biggest pain for such a team. Its a spiking team far more dangerous than the corruptors due to low animation times and the amount of damage. The storm mists and healing blankets could provide some solution however it would be hard. I was thinking the spines team as well boty.However it wouldnt be 4 dead controllers on 1 strike you would have to focus on 1 maybe 2 at a time and i think the rest 6 can easily team wipe the stalkers.

    First of all why u start whine again? The reason we issue this fun challenge is exactly to gauge interest for a variety of villain AT's so it get interesting instead of tearing apart inexperienced stalkers. Second of all the team will be 8 controllers. Third of all i dont seriously think there is anything capable of taking this team down except one specific combo. Even spiking teams with corruptos dont stand a chance or people laying tar patches and debuffs like this for the simple reason that this team has the ability to kill range faster than the snipe actually activates and also because the it can get out of debuffs like tar patches really fast with no problems. As for dominators...even a team of 8 dominators is nowhere near the abilities of such a team. Add to the factors that is team will be packed with some of the best pvpers on Defiant...well that one handful...so number superiority will be the only thing possible to maybe do something against such a team.....now consider i am plannign a specific combo of controllers in there like 2 empaths 1 ff 4stormies and 1 kinetics....well all i say is u prolly need at least 3x8 villain groups to start thinking there is a chance....and this is me being optimistic.

    ok lets start from this.FYI the brutes will be cannon fodder.We had 2 kinetics. considering a coordinated spiking on the brutes well end drainage taking granite out and the rest is history while the brutes hit thin air against the combined flooring of acc from rad/dark and hurricane...thats horror. Add to that the terrors...uh well u see what i mean....

    Now lets get to this team...

    I made a demo....let me just give u some example times...a brute that came in our path...uh more like we came in his cause i team tp the team on the brute..was torn to pieces with full shields up in 4 sec....a stalker that tried to attack and flee..uh was insta held..popped a break free and was held again....

    So since i liked the idea after i put it to work..we will set up a league of evil and issue a challenge to all villains on defiant to come take us down ...the team consists of 8 controllers....so any daring villains out there can come and feel the power unleash from the squishies.....we ll try assemble this team tomorrow so if u feel daring enough..pop in sirens tomorrow..

    Btw i made a demo of this i think i ll post a short video about it..

    On another note the belt system teams have to maintain a caller for targets and prioritize. Random tp people with no idea who u tp and what comes simply is the premade build and teams with not much knowledge. Priority targets like buffers and holders first and then the severe dmg dealers ensures that good teams maintain control of the field. If u control the field then u can advance tactically how u like.

    The ways to control the field is the pain cause the chemistry of the teams change a lot in SC. The villains may make some pretty pain team ups that u need find ways to break. Tp foe is the breaking key and the ones that know how to use in teams are always obvious cause they receive abuse on broadcasts for it. Thats the annoying thing. You want me to respec tp out?or stop using hurricane to block u?Fine supress the stalkers after attacking from running/tping away and i might as well respec it.But having 3-5 stalkers in one team thinking they are really godlike for picking target and playing spike tactics even with tankers and then run away simply doesnt cut it for me and till then i will keep punish them anywhere i meet them.

    As for the ones that respeced into tp self today and actually said we cant get them..well i hope they enjoyed fear tactics that prevent them run/tp away as well as toggle drop combos...and that was a pug team..with the regulars people would cry. And i didnt corner u not once

    Actually the less resisted power in this game is TK. Now thats a real pain power. The tp foe has some tricks that once your team works together u can easily counter it without ID. Try team teleport and u ll see what i mean. At the moment animation starts queue team tp and the tp foe is countered. What we usually do with the regulars is once tp foe is hitting someone team tp is queued to the direction of the big group that tp's. If its not visible just team tp away and the person is back with the group.

    The answer to that is simple.

    1)premade US builds that all say u got to have tp foe and people follow this like sheep

    2)90% of those have been killed badly by tp foe and think its THE power

    3) 90% of these we have killed badly using the belt system my dear PN so they thought its the same thing. They not realise belt can be played only from stormies.

    And plz plz all tp foe users learn this. Dont tp the stormies with hurricane on!!! Cause simply you not remove the problem from the field u just bring the problem to u...a stormie getitng tped in a team instantly casts thunder clap..with - acc and the team on its way to save him...ending up with -acc toggles dropped and disoriented with a team coming on to u IS A BAD THING! So stop tping the stormies and prioritize...

    Why u consider unfair the fact that tp foe allows you to pin down specific targets. PvP in CoH is like a chess. U need see the right moves take out the right pons and eventually win.Tp foe is up for grabs for anyone out there. There are currently loads of people in the pvp zones who thought they ll be really awsome if they get tp foe. Well they all make same and same mistakes. Tp the tanker/stormie..etc and many many out there not have a clue how to use their powers hence it goes unoticed.

    The problem here is that it goes noticed when people use their powrs at their max potential. Then obviously is not possible for someone to use a power that good so he must be cheating or exploiting. Thats the problem now in pvp zones.

    The person that complained in this thread about my controller plays a casual stalker with an average build for pve and pvp. Nothing fully specced etc. Suddenly he comes across a build that is full pvp and utilises all powers to the max. A combo of tp foe on quicksand and eq combined with fear fossilize and a nice thunder clap leaves this stalker mezzed. Am i supposed to allow him go because i lack the damge? Of course not. And because no stalker stand to fight unless he can perform AS pinning them down is the only way to do it in small team like i was (duoing). Talking about full scale combat, tonight the same people got wiped out again and again without me cornering them at all simply because i could use my full build.

    Anyone crying about pvp has to remember that a fully pvp build will surely and totally annihilate any average build for mixed gameplay. Unfortunately for them my storm troller is under the category of full pvp so i will keep having an advantage over them just like obots/hackit/gimpy stalkers have a major advantage any non pvp hero or group out there.

    As for the containers and boxes and corners. Well they are not there by chance. If the devs didnt really want tactical use of environment the boxes would be closed and the bus stops and corners from the game would be removed asap.
