  1. Hey all,

Not sure if this idea has ever been brought up, but with the recent chatter of the changes for blaster in i24 I wanted to see if this idea would make sense.

One of the mechanics in the changes is making the so-called Tier 3 blasts have a longer range and to make snipes ignore the interruptible portion. Both ideas seem to try to make blasters have a better arrangement of, well, blasts for their attack chain. So I was thinking about the nukes. I realize the crashing end portion is not being examined for i24, but thought, “How could nukes be more usable in fights?”.

Now I, like any other blaster type, enjoy wasting large groups of mobs but what happens when its fighting off a single big baddie? Sure I could still nuke, but it isn’t an efficient use of endurance or sustained DPS.

So here’s my idea. Nukes all operate with a max number of targets so what if when it is used on a single target (or less targets) that a damage multiplier is applied. This would be a sliding scale based on the number of target within the targeted range of the nuke. Or the damage is a flat damage distributed within the target range (think of the Shared Suffering mechanic used in the Minds of Mayhem trial). Basically this idea translates to “less mobs = more damage”. This won’t solve the whole crashing end nukes, but hopefully can make ‘nuking’ useful when fighting smaller groups.

    Any thoughts?
  2. Anyone notice the inconsistency of the colored text for this arc. Psyche isn't always using the white on green text bubbles (speaking of which, it really a terrible color combination).

Also had some problems with the first part of the mish. Duo'ed the arc and we both crashed when interacting with the computer (I had lead, crashed, lead transferred to partner, they clicked on computer and crashed, I regained lead and it worked).

Still, I do not mind the more movie-like experience. It certainly is a change of pace.
  3. Definitely a nice job with the website (I had taken some time away from CoH but found the addiction too strong!). One thing I've noticed is there seems to be some missing info on the various enemy groups. Specifically, the Banished Pantheon, and Nemesis are not mentioned (Game Info > Know Your Adversary).

This can only mean one thing of course. It IS all a Nemesis plot!! And the Banished Pantheon is working with them. How else can this information about them be missing?! *dun dun DUN!*
  4. Good guide, I originally posted because I had a problem with the binds, but I figured it out. There is a small error on the Warshade part of the binds. There's a " mark missing at the end.

But once again good guide. You really got me pumped to make a Kheldian. Thanks
  5. One very odd thing I noticed today was when I in a PuG villain side. Ran a paper mission in Cap against some Freaks. Well some of the Tank bosses truly were freaky in appearance - they had no arms. Kinda alarming. Only affected bosses and we had about one boss like that in every group spawn. Maybe they'll be getting their arms as a Valentine Day gift
  6. Sounds like your friend is mistaken, since you're right it would simply tell you that you had one newspaper mission currently running. Maybe they thought they had a second paper mission but was one that sounded like a paper mission. No tricks that I have heard of or read about.
