Follow the Mobility Modder instructions closely and you may be able to get the game working right again.

    Good luck.
    Thanks for the response!!

I will follow those posts after dinner and let you know what happens.
  2. Since I ran those two reports I have updated Adobe Flash Player. This did not help any.
  3. Hello, all.

I have not been able to figure out why my laptop crashes to a black screen when I play CoX and Lego Universe.

I have an HP Compaq nw9440 that I have played CoX for a few years on without any problems. About a month ago my IT Department (it is a work computer . . . ) needed to 'fix' my laptop to enable VPN access. In the process they upgraded Microsoft IE to a version that conflicts with some other software I need to use for work. To rectify this problem they had to format and reinstall everything (they said they could not roll back IE). Anyway, when they were done 'fixing' my laptop I still did not have VPN access as they advertised and it was missing several drivers and would crash to a black screen when I played CoH. I installed the missing drivers from the HP website and still did not fix the crashes. I uninstalled the video driver and reinstalled from the HP website, still no luck. Sometimes the crashes are within seconds of logging in, sometimes up to 15 minutes of logging in.

I have reviewed this forum and have not been able to fix my problem.

While I have not completely ruled out an overheating issue, I don't think that is the problem.

If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for reviewing my data; I have attached the 'Hijackthis' and 'CoH Helper' logs:
