In the midst of starting college, learning to drive, and looking for a job, I have started work on the prizes for my costume design contest. Haven't been able to do much, unfortunately. =( Hope to rectify that this weekend.

Heya, just wanted to post a little update on the Amerikatt pic!
It's taking a while to finish. Unfortunately, RL has been consuming my life like crazy lately, and I have barely any time to devote to art. I might have to put this pic on the back burner for a while so I can finish those contest pics that I need to do. =D Grr, real life intervenes at the worst times, honestly.

I think I will take you up on the art. My newest creation could use a piece done of her. Bioelectra is a mutant with extreme control over her own bones. She can grow them into weapons and also compress them within her own body to create a piezoelectric reaction that she can use for various purposes (aka she's spines/elec scrapper). Don't have anything in mind really, just something with a few less spines than CoH gives her and a bit of electric aura and the electric eyes. Pose/action/etc are up to you.

Heya, everybody! Have a new picture in progress. I was going to finish it before posting so it would be a surprise, but I need some feedback on the coloring! I'm not sure if I have the right colors for it!
So, I figured I should get this drawing out of the way, because I just know I would have done it eventually. Here's everyone's favorite heroic kitty cat!
I couldn't resist drawing her. I just love kitties!
So anyway, if anyone could tell me what colors to use,that would be great. I used CR's amazing drawing as a reference, since that's all I could find. Hehe.

Alright, after much debating-ness, I have finally decided on a winner!

It was a close race between Lord_Goat and our first runner up, who we'll get to in a moment, but he won it with his awesomely awesome designs! Each one made me go '=O' and I just couldn't decide which one I liked best. Congratulations, Lord_Goat! Your prize, if you choose to accept it, will be a fully colored and awesome pic of your choice!
Our first runner-up, who was a close tie with Lord_Goat, is JOHNSTONE, who won it for me with his amazing submission for Frost Argent! Very practical outfit, with a nice use of pant straps in the place of striped tights. Very creative! Your prize, if you want it, will also be an awesome pic of your choice!
Second runner up, with a fabulous design for the Virtue Verse Editor, is CHRISTOPHER ROBIN!!! I love the use of gold for this outfit, and how is still manages to look both professional and sexy. You will also get a picture of your choice!
Yay! Congratulations, winners! Also, HUGE thanks to everyone who participated. There were so many good ideas in all of these, it was difficult to choose a winner! Got a new tablet yesterday, since my old one broked, and decided to practice with it by coloring my sketchy-sketch of Gene!
Nothing too fancy, just a basic color job. Kept some of the sketchy-ness of the pencil underneath. =D

Oh, are you giving me some advice? =P Hehe, not a submission but thanks for the tips. I see the appeal in simple costumes, and they do look nice when done right, but simplicity was never really my thing. And I tend to not go for the skin tight clothes look. Haha, usually I would yell at people who compare my style to anime but, I'll forgive you in this case. =P Most of the pics on my devart are kind of old, as I never update and have been desperately trying to get away from the 'anime' style. Okay, first character for the grinder!
Mutant Ice/Ice Defender
My main on the Protector server, who I don't play very much but who is still a favorite of mine. For reference, her costume style is very conservative and feminine. Striped tights are a must and it's preferable that she have some kind of device on her costume. The idea behind her is that she's a mutant who creates ice using the moisture from her very body, so she must always stay hydrated and carries around vials of water to use in an emergency. I would like to use the fur shoulder wrap from the magic booster on her, but everything else is free for change.
Technology FF/Archery Defender
My main on Virtue, and my favorite of all! Basically, she's an amnesiac cyborg with an artificial arm and eye. Her next costume is, in the RP, going to be a more human android body. Her arm will still be robotic looking in the new body, as she's grown quite attached to it (no pun intended). Really, the only booster piece I know I want to use on her is the awesome HUD from the cyborg pack. Everything else is up for grabs, as long as she still looks cybernetic and whatnot.
Natural MA/Willpower Scrapper
Next up is NCS-Girl, a character who I shamelessly modeled after myself. You know, not to live out any hero fantasies or whatever...*cough* Anyway, the look I was going for with her is an average kid who just decides to be a hero for the heck of it and makes a costume out of clothing from her own closet. So, I want the new costume to reflect that while still maintaining some of her trademarks like the tie and whatnot, and also looking a little more 'heroic.'
Science Machinegun/Healing Defender
Next up, my Editor for the VirtueVerse newsletter. I'm really just unhappy with her costume altogether. I was trying to go for a professional, business look while still having that sexy appeal. It just feels kind of boring and far too monochrome.
Magic Zombie/Pain Mastermind
Last but not least, Dead Naught. Pretty much my only villain. She's an undead schoolgirl, brought back to life after being murdered in a crossfire and slowly rotting away as her villainy counters the holy magic that revived her. Her current outfit is the one that she died in and donned after turning to evil. The bloody handprint on the front is all that remains of her first victim. Pretty much anything goes for her as well, as long as the bloody handprint and undead-ness remains.

Hello everybody! I've been having a spot of trouble lately, and need your help! So, with TA's contest thread winding down and stuff, I decided to start up my own little contest! Yay!
The dilemma is this!: I have lots of lovely little characters who I love, and great costumes that I spent a long time getting juuuuust right in order to fit their personalities and give them all unique looks.
My problem is that, for the life of me, I can't figure out what to do for their other costume slots! As their benevolent creator, I just can't bring myself to alter their appearance. So, therefore, I am going to let all you lovely people have at them! Haha!
Guidelines
*You can submit as many costumes as you want, for as many of the characters as you want! Go wild!
*Submissions can be in any visual format. Obviously, just opening the CoX costume creator is the quickest and easiest option, but if you're feeling creative and want to do something else, go ahead.
*Feel free to use costume pieces from any booster and anything that is unlockable. I am so close to buying these boosters, since there a few pieces in each that I am just dying to use, and I most definitely will work on unlocking whatever I can. Also, I have the three month veteran reward, so trenchcoats are okay!
*Try to keep the new costumes true to the original look! If you have any questions feel free to ask me. I won't bite, I swear.
Deadlines
Submissions should be in by 16th of this month, and the winner will be announced in the next few days after that.
Prizes!
Here we come to the part everyone is probably wondering. What do I win? Well, since I'm short on money and already planning on buying the boosters, the prizes I will be giving away are...

My Pain/MM, Dead Naught. This one's unfinished, as I forgot to do the shirt. Whoops! She's another favorite of mine to play because, well, ZOMBIES.
Another sketch of Dead Naught. Tried to give her more of a decaying corpse-ified look. That square thing on her shirt is supposed to be the handprint detail.
My alter-ego and main, No Common-Sense Girl. This is a horrible drawing. Also, Dead Naught decided to hang out...but just her head, I guess.
I have two more, but this post is long enough so I'll save those for later. <333 -

I guess I should start with Gene-Tech, since I have the most of here. She's just so much fun to draw. <3
A pic of Gene with her taser, ready to kick some butt. This was before I modified her bio to include the taser in her robot arm.
A little pen bookmark I made of Gene powered down and her arm detached. She's lounging around, I guess.
And my favorite, Gene flying above the city looking all melancholy. I really wish I knew how to draw the Circuitry pattern better. -_-
They're not very good, but they're just sketches so. *shrug* I'll post the rest later, for the sake of not making a huge post of pics.
