But I still feel destiny calling.
-
I'd call this the case of Wrong Time - Right Place Syndrome. Just because by and by you normally don't encounter these folks, doesn't mean they're not out there.
-
Quote:Gotta agree, did Lambda with one group all PUG players joining via the LFG. Thing was, they all knew what to do and how to get it done. Folks advised what role they would be best suited for, I trusted them and we succeeded without any catastrophe.Except for the fact that the LFG randoms have done it, and have done it with the minimum.
PUGs just mean odds are against you, like all things you'll encounter exceptions. Hell, you might even make new friends from them as well so it's a win-win in certain circumstances. -
Not to mention this was update week. Let folks get their fix of the first week rush at the new update and things will slowly return to normal.
-
Nope they still go on. Days seem to change, I think they're Thursdays now, used to be Mondays. Shimmer Strike, if you ever see her around, often times hosts them herself.
-
My understanding so far is as long as you treat the mobs considerably, they'll follow you just about anywhere on the map. Gotta handle them like Rom at the end of the ITF if you're pulling him to the grass, don't just run off expecting them to stay interested when you're a few miles out.
As for their range minimum for the badge? Well safe to say tennis courts don't cut it, fight them on the grass outside of their spawn points; that's fine but you need a few running turret gun controls if you want to cull the threat. -
The only problem is when you get into Tier 3s where you require Rares and Very rares, since their drop at the end is random. Did a run at BAF, first I got Very Rares and then the second two were uncommons until the final where I got rares. Otherwise hope you have crap tons of millions of influence because it requires money to make them. I wasn't pleased to see that, it's just unfortunate you have to grind otherwise and hope you get the proper selection.

Quote:Warworks are more so the group they're apart of.I'm looking at Lore, and was wondering what a Warworks summon looks like. Anyone have any screenshots?
The first summon you get is an ACU which are those android humans (blast them for every THE coolest cyrborg face ever - should of been in the cyrborg pack) that you face when taking on Siege.
ACU, Commandos (I think which are the bulky guys with rocket boxes on their shoulders and such).
I should also add, this isn't the case. Like changing ammunition properties in DP; the actual effect can't be done. There's no listing of Interface in the powers menu. Sorry for the confusion. -
Quote:Solo?Fine, fine, but at least give me a solo option to help compensate for the issues my pathetic luck creates for me, k? And no, shard conversion is NOT a reasonable alternative to actual thread drops for a soloist.
kthxbye
Maybe I just don't like farming anymore but seeing the requirement to convert Rare materials for most Tier 3s... 100,000,000 influence; buzzkill for me. -
Just did Lambda with a team of eight and beat it. Not sure how much time we had to spare because when I went to check the window was updated. Either way, the original hand picked leader switched leadership to me since I opened my big mouth. We had a lot of DPS going but it didn't look promising; not until we actually went into the warehouse and labs.
I split the team into two:
Team 1:
Tank (KM/Invul)
Widow
Stalker (me)
Warshade
(forget the last two classes, I want to say another dominator and scrapper but can't remember after that fiasco)
Team 2:
Tank (SS/Stone)
SoA (Crab)
Mastermind (Demons/healer)
Team 1 -> Assault labs and zerg containers
Team 2 -> Assault Warehouse and zerg crates
We managed to keep the time up by an average of three minutes and when containers were destroyed Team one reconnected with Team 2 for elimination of the rest of the crates. From there on in, we just chased Mar down after portals were shut down. Everybody was on top of their grenade tossing.
Very well done... G-F-G
That makes it 1-2/10 (I count the one the other day when the servers were shut down, so unfair T_T)

So either I grab Barrier or get Reflective Tier 2 on the right (I forget it's title name) which can deal fire damage. Hmmm decisions decisions.

Quote:Had this happen earlier as well. We get ready to head out the door and I said, "Ok when we do engage Mar after..." get done talking and click on the door to come out the other end, someone already engages him.Just venting my frustration.
As much as I understand it's a new experience for some people, I explained in great detail what each phase would entail, and what we would have to do (and how to trade temp powers!)
But again, people did their own thing. I said don't pacify Marauder until we cleared the adds - so someone pacified Marauder while we were still clearing adds. I said don't do it again until we've cleared the adds; so they pacified him right away.
Just venting, that's all. I led to 2 successful Lambdas yesterday, no big deal, it's just frustrating when you're so close, you're doing so well, and it completely falls apart because people don't listen.
/end rant.
P.S.: And I use a general "people" instead of specifically blaming people. It was a team effort.
The time limit needs to be deducted if you clear out the cannisters and crates, it's bogus otherwise. -
Quote:Scratch that, found out earlier that they will resurrect each other when the other is killed. Not sure on the specifics of why, I always assumed Nightstar would get some hefty bonus much like Minx during Tin Mage's trial.
The only way I could see this do-able is to have a very well put together league of at least two teams. Tank keeps agro, CC used to cull the adds, and DPS kind of bounces from adds occasionally to the AV. You wont do this in a PUG at the rate PUGs are acting right now. -
Quote:Well there's no doubt about it, premade teams will always out number PUGs in W/L ratios. Though I was in a PUG with 7 in Lambda and managed to get Mar down to 23 until we couldn't keep running back and forth for grenades. By then he was regening mad fast and some members of the team bailed. For those with the high success rates; please state if they were pre-made or just queueing and ending up with random teams, both in composition and league size. The number of people has been a key point in my experience . It would be interesting to see if there is any noticable difference between random/pre-made and how large that difference would be.
Communication can make a huge difference as well. It's truly hard though to find considerable data that provides exact results. -

Well everybody's primary concern are those cannons. Because fighting them at their spawn puts you in range of the cannons, that's why pulling to Tennis courts work - most of the time. Grant it I did ask, which nobody answered, how many targets can the guns focus on. I think their damage is unresistable, like Nanoswarms from BM, but they do deal fairly small amounts allowing a good healer to keep you alive.
It's possible never the less but then you also have to kill the two at the same time when you take out Siege. Not sure on the specifics of why, I always assumed Nightstar would get some hefty bonus much like Minx during Tin Mage's trial. -
Maintenance is to be expected, but it'd be nicer if the manner was done in a consistent fashion; since the bringing down of a server is a conscious decision.

Anybody else currently getting auto logged out on the forums?

They look cool but it wont let me edit their colors just yet. I click apply but when I go out to use it the colors are set to default. Is there some kind of trick to them?
Aside from that performance wise they kind of blow for the content you're supposed to use them for. It's nice to see numbers on level 50s that rival the good ole days of 5-6slotting Golden Butterfly with damage enhancements, but other than that use them in a trial and they're a puny average 200-300 damage.
EDIT:
Quote:I know there was an issue in pre-beta where the changes often would not stick unless you changed something else as well. IIRC you didn't even have to keep the changes--you could change a costume piece and change it right back again before exiting. Try that.
Ahh will give that a try when maintenance is over. -
Quote:I agree, Nightstar and Siege while dangerous themselves only require you to have enough DPS and CC; DPS focuses on the two and then CCers simply cull the adds so they can't do any real damage.Multiple Lambdas w/2 successes. It is certainly the harder of the two Trials and requires better team co-operation, better knowledge of what your toon can and cannot do and paying attention to the leaders and doing as instructed.
Meanwhile Lambda requires a bit of multitasking and macro management during the crucial part of the mission that really determines the end game. Proper coordination and you'll beat it. Fall behind and enjoy watching the timer run out on you.
Gotta enjoy ragequiters. One always has to laugh to keep themselves from crying. -
You can still treat the trials like any normal TF as long as you have the resilience and damage to compensate.
I think the primary issue is the queue system, where I'd say about 7 out of 10 PUGs in new content tend to fail. People queue up and then decline or leave, which cripples your chances. But like Voodoo said, knowing what happens ahead of time and how to move with the flow rather than being left behind also strengthens your chances. We just followed Marauder around wailing on him but that was because there weren't any reinforcements to worry about by then, we knew the primary concern were his portal and we had that covered from the get go. -
Wow had Marauder down to 10 and then get forcefully disconnected. Nice job -_-

Quote:Without spoiling it I have to say I'm actually disappointed. I'd think for us non-Cerberus fans, we'd be able to cut ties completely but it appears that will not be the case.I did queue up DLC, turned on my xbox 360, then pressed the power off before I left the house this morning for Mass Effect 2.
My Commander Shepard will once again have his day in the sun. Widow Sniper Rifle FTW! Who will I take with me this time since I don't get Liara for awesome kill everything powers... -
