  1. I actually mis-spoke. I hit 30, not 32. Not sure what I was thinking (Maybe wishful thinking)

    What I am looking for is a fair solo, strong grouping tank. This is my first toon here, so I haven't been around the block, so to speak.

    I don't know what AV is. (Arch Villain?) I met my first last night in a SG while being SK'd. I don't know if I'd ever be able to take on one of those.

    I am also still sort of learning about the various enhancements. I see now that I am still having endurance issues. Any suggestions for builds would be very much appreciated. Keeping in mind I don't have resources from alt's to purchase crazy Enhancements or "Hami O's" which I have seen talked about so much on the forums.

    But I do appreciate the comments so far and any further build suggestions or "fixes" would be great. If I16 offers a rebuild offer, I will fix my first build and play with the alternate build with more damage output or something.
  2. Been playing for about a month, give or take now. I hit level 32 tonight and I am sort of stuck. I want to build a semi decent solo tank, but mainly for grouping. My build right now is this.

    Temp Invulnerability - 4 Slots
    Dull Pain - 5 Slots
    Unyielding - 4 Slots
    Invincibility - 3 Slots
    Tough Hide - 3 Slots

    Scorch - 4 Slots
    Combustion - 4 Slots
    Taunt - 1 Slot
    Fire Sword Circle - 3 Slots

    Combat Jumping
    Super Jump

    Swift
    Health - 3 Slots
    Stamina - 5 Slots

    Boxing
    Tough

    Now I need to figure out where to go from here. I was sort of thinking to maybe go with Resist Energy, but haven't seen much with this.

    Really don't think I want to do Build Up, but maybe that is important?
    or Weave?

    Any suggestions would be great.
  3. Maybe a stupid noob question, but how do you sign on do different channels in the game? I am not in game now so can't look, but I am sure I don't know how it is done.

    And I believe my global name is @agent flashover

  4. I've seen several build suggestions for this and I am curious as to why most of them choose Super Jump over Flight?

    Is it safe to assume it is for Combat Jumping defense bonus as the controller really doesn't need Air Superiority as another attack?

    Just curious.

    Mad a Fire/Rad Controller Alt to get a little change from my Tanker who is still low in level and I have to say the Controller is pretty insane and fun to play. Although I will keep working on my Tanker as I think he might be useful to groups at a higher level and controllers are all over the place it seems. But you never know.
  5. Looking to meet up with some people or a SG that tend to play late at night, ie. 10pm-1am or so. I am currently out of work at this time due to a Work Comp injury and get on now and then during the daytime, but usually not for long periods of time, due to Physical Therapy, family, etc. But I usually get on sometime after 10pm and stay on until around 1am, most nights (with whatever game I am playing)

    I currently have a level 16, mutant tanker with a Invul/fire build. I am new to the game but have been grouping up randomly here and there when I can.

    If anyone is looking to add another player to a SG and somewhat fit the playtime requirements I have, I'd love to hook up with you. My in-game name is Agent Flashover. I do not know what my "global" name is, unless it is my login name?

    Hope to hear from some people soon, or shoot me a PM here as well.

  6. You are probably right. It appears the same as debt to me, not colorblind, just didn't know about the Patrol Experience. I'll check it next time I am in game. But it certainly makes sense, because the longer I am logged out, the bigger the "debt" appears to be.

  7. Again, thanks for the great information. I had done the alternate build and actually went with combat jumping and now Super Jump at 14. For some reason, I like the idea of a tanker type being a jumper not a flyer, I guess more so for roleplay reasons. It might hinder me a bit not having the additional attack right now, but my original build is actually not horrible for soloing, not great either but more effective than my alt build at this time. (Also I am still earning money to reslot all my stuff on the alt build and doing so with DO's so it is expensive)

    The build planner is a really great help to me. Although I am straying a bit from the flight path, everything else is great info and I'll implement it as soon as I can.
  8. I have tried last night and again today to do a "Support Ticket" about an in game issue I am having.

    I just started playing this game about 4-5 days ago. I have a level 14 tanker on the Victory server.

    EVERY time I log out of the game to quit, and subsequently log back in at a later time, I have Exp Debt. (EVERY TIME!!) This is getting beyond annoying to have to make up experience over and over again. I am not starting up in the hospital, I am starting up exactly where I logged out.

    I usually do the "quit now" and not wait the 30 seconds, but I have done the 30 second wait as well. And I don't think I have logged out to log right back in to test it, although I don't think I want to either. I even had a friend watch me for the 30 seconds while I logged out and when I came back on later that evening, sure enough, I had exp debt again.

    What could I possibly be doing wrong?

    I have yet to get a response, that I am aware of, from the Support Ticket, so maybe someone here might be able to steer me in the right direction.

  9. How important is Resist Physical Damage? I am getting the idea that Limited Invulnerability is the primary that I should have with 2-3 slots in it.

    I am going to re-spec using the Alt-Build, I'll have to sell some of the salvage I have accumulated to do so, but that is fine, I am still very young so I will not have lost too much in the process.
  10. Wow, guys, thanks a ton. That is all extremely helpful and I'll have to look into the respec thing. Seems I made some mistakes that I'd like to take back. I just leveled up to 12 and took the Taunt ability and it works really good, saved a defender with it today. And I am certainly missing out on the travel powers so I'd like to look into that as well.

    I'll check out the wiki and the tanker forum. All great suggestions and much appreciated.
  11. I just created a Tanker, I think he is a Mutation/Fire build? He is pretty fun to play, but I would like some suggestions on the build from anyone that has experience as a tanker or working with them.

    I opted to not get a Running/Flying/Jumping power and got the taunt power section, hope that wasn't a mistake...

    I have been working up my defensive side and now have 3-4 slots in the passive defense and 2-3 slots in my limited invulnerability spot. Also recently got the resist elements power and have 2 slots in that now.

    On the fire side, I have Combustion, Fire Swords and 1 other (AOE type ability)

    For the taunt, I took the 2nd choice, which I believe is Provoke as it seemed to be better than Challenge.

    So my question is this...What should I focus on now? What would make my tank more "Group Friendly" in the near future. I just did my first partnering today with a scrapper and it was a lot of fun. He helped me kill Frostfire, which I could not do on my own.

    I am pretty casual in my play, playing a bit here and there, moreso very late at night PST. I play on the first server too, Victory? So if anyone would like to partner up, shoot me a message here and I will seek you out. I should be level 12 next time I log in. Name: Agent Flashover
