  1. Grand! That picture of Supes grinning at how safe he is in the ionosphere- it's killin' me! LOL! Stars for joo!
  2. Geko, bro, ya just don't get it. You seem to believe that the vertical axis is God, and flight is UBER because it lets you move up and down. big frikkin' deal. That's the lamest argument ever. Has been since day one.

I kite mobs with SS WAY better than I ever did with flight, because I can break LOS by putting buildings and fences between me and mobs in a split second. What does a flier do? Fly higher, get shot a bunch (good range on the mobs these days), and hope to get out of range before they die.
Oooh! Tremble at the mighty power of the Z-axis!

With SS I can snipe a holding/mezzing mob, and be so far away by the time they retaliate that their status effect runs out and I can get away totally unscathed, wait for them to de-aggro, and repeat the process. It's effective immunity to status effects. Nothing short of an AV presents a threat to me with my SS up and running. SS is safer and more useful in general due to it's stealth component (unless the user is completely retarded) and has such a slight endurance cost (and no inherent -acc penalty) that I just leave it on all the time. No reason not to. SS has it all over flight even without the much vaunted "vertical mobility." Cheesy lame argument. Obvoiusly SS is your special baby, and you luv it. The other movement powers are decently balanced. So why must flight remain the subpar pariah ******* child of the movement powers? You are allowed take it for character concept, but you still have to take a real travel power to actually get around without making your whole team wait on your sorry slow butt. Cowboy up and fix the stupid thing already! Heck just swapping out the end cost of flight and SS would go a long way toward balance.

    Villain Emotes

    For the looney villains-

confetti- the villain dances a jig and throws confetti while laughing maniacally
money- as above but money instead (might make the civilian NPCs nearby flock to the money)
airplane- the villain runs around in a tight circle with his arms stretched wide like airplane wings
russiandance- the classic russian crouched kick dance
dynamite - the only thing that beats rock, paper and scissors!

    For the truly villainous-

plantbomb- plants one of those bomb-looking clickys. If nobody clicks it, it could blow up,(no damage of course) leaving an ugly scortch mark on the terrain that fades slowly with time.
plantbarrel- same as above, but one of the larger barrel shaped firebombs
  4. In a way PLing is cheating Cryptic out of its revenues. The MMORPG business model is bsed on players taking X amount of time to gain Y amount of reward. PLing decreases the time/reward ratio, so the player who PLs ends up quitting the game sooner as they run out of content faster than a regular player. Thus undermining the company's bottom line. Cyptic could easily implement a system of no exp if it was a problem. Simply giving people levels after X amount of played time whether theyre standing around or fighting crime or RPing or whatever. Could even give you a countdown clock showing how long 'till your next ding. But I'll bet a lot of PLs are just honest casual players trying to keep up with their powergamer friends. If it was a big deal Cryptic would fix it.
  5. Every client-side patch or mod serves the purpose of keeping a player playing by bettering the game in his/her eyes. If the game was perfect none of them would be necessary. There should be a way to customize your power's sounds in game, so they don't give the player a headache. The maps should have a way to alter them so a player can mark important locations (like stores, or paths in that obnoxious perez maze) permanently. Looks like Cryptic should thank these folks for bettering the game, and keeping many players interested(I know folks who would've quit by now if they had to listen to that [censored] targeting drone noise ad infinitum). Cryptic should integrate their ideas into the core product for everyone to use, instead of blowing them off like this. Poor form indeed!
