Dont like this power fine take a different one, but you're stuck with that one.
That's a fine idea, Ossified. Even that would be something in the right direction and would solve what Ralph Wiggum would call an 'Ut-Oh'.
2. I'm all for a better respec system. You accidently click on one wrong power and you're stuck with it until you can wipe everything or start over in a second build. It's rediculous how unforgiving this system is and if you mail to ask to get this fixed, the devs can't do anything about it. You'd think after all these years, they would have implimented some kind of system that at least lets you tweak your current level, a minor adjustment, rather than a full all out redifinition of your toon from scratch.

Test server doesn't solve the issue of accidentally selecting the wrong power by mistake or misreading it and getting stuck with that power until you do a full respec. It's also not worth doing a full respec just to adjust a single error on your current level and wiping your gear over it.

I also hardly think it can be abused much while leveling. Pay a fee, switch out powers all you want until you find what fits you best, level, and you're stuck with the last thing you settled on. You'd have to be pretty obsessive, hardcore, and creative to run back to a trainer to constantly rotate powers around until you're close to leveling again. None of which is worth the effort.

Now, at level 48, that could be a problem, if you've turned XP off and you stay there and switch your final power out a lot. Maybe at 50, if you move your extra slots around. But the fee to switch the power out could be pretty extensive, if they charge more at higher levels. To discourage people switching things around as much.

But for people who are leveling that mess something up or realize the power they've picked was a huge mistake, I think they need to implement something more lenient. Imagine a new player who selected nothing but attacks in their primary set, who realizes that they should have picked another secondary defense, or needs to switch something out, or just misread and selected the wrong power.

A full respec and the work earning one, is a pretty heavy price to pay for something that can be tweaked on the spot. Something that they might just need to patch themselves up to reach the next few levels.
4. There needs to be a way to undo selecting a power without having to respec. This could help for a variety of reasons, including accidental power selection, discovering the power isn't working as you initially hoped, the need to switch to something defensive rather than offensive if you're having difficulty with the current level of mobs, and testing powers out to see if it's best for you.

A respec wipes everything and you might want build2 to function differently. This could be more of a means to wipe out your current level's power and only your current level. One way to do this would be to be able to speak to trainers and place some kind of undo option to remove the power/slots from your current level and then be able to reselect. Maybe with some kind of small INF fee.

It doesn't necessarily have to respec all your powers or do a full wipe, but just the current power of your current level.
