This was the scene at City Hall a half hour ago, a protest by a a few dozen of some of the games longest running players.
Why?
Nexus Ar'gos, a 5 yer old character with a 5 year old costume, was generic'ed by the GMs. SO griefer reported that the character was a Captain Mar'vell ripoff and that's all it took
I know the player, and the toon. The costume was somewhat similar, only somewhat. I personally might give this one a pass too if that's all that happened. HOWEVER
AFTER that happened, now the GMs are demanding that the toon be deleted outright OR the player's 5 tear running account will be banned. This is, to be blunt, crap. We as customers deserve a better review porcess in cases like that AND we should certainly never be subject to the follow up bullying and harrassment being dealt out here.

WRONG!
I did use a respec when my widow completed her patron arc, so I got my 3 million (not 5) in SO money back.
I spent somewhere between EIGHT and TEN HOURS saturday night sitting in Cap waiting. After selling a few goodies along the way, I blew all 8 million & was still short the funds to slot level 40 IOs in 2 powers. I scrounged up another million selling stuff & SO'ed them
THe market is screwed right now. Set IO recipes that months ago were going for 50K to 100K are now over a million. Pangean Soil USED to be down to 500K ish. it's 5 freaking million on the black market now!
Gee, so if I spend 6 hours running 3 ITFs all day I MIGHT be able to afford 1 component of 1 recipe. -
I'm impressed also. It's extremely nice to, for once, see a guide that not just says something can be done, but REAL details on how to do it. The opposite has been a real problem with the handful of other guides I've read
Outstanding job -
Does it work? Yes.
The results are the same thing that happened to gas prices last year however. Huge run ups in prices due to "speculators" buying low & selling high, and removing inventory from the market.
Right now my 38 Night Widow is running on SOs because even with 5 mill in the bank, I can't afford generic IOs anymore. -
I gotta agree with the people against paying for this costume pack. It's $10 for fluff essentially. Granted the costumes aren't bad considering they are wedding outfits & thus not very useful IMO.
Aside from the arguements I've already skimmed thru (& maybe this point has already been made by someone else), consider this: EQ2 offered 2 expansion mini-packs for $10 each, Bloodline Chronicles & 1 other one I don't remember (it's been a while, lol). Those packs for the same price had several new pieces of equipment, a reasonable large new area to explore, a long quest series & new collection items as well. THAT at least was worth $10. This is a total rip off.
What happened to the whole concept of the game having free expansions anyway???
Me personally, I'd pay for expansions, BUT they'd have to be SUBSTATIALLY more meaty & hopefully include a boosted level cap as well
