you dont need the common recharge IO in BU, its already capped with the set
Power surge and sheilds cap res with 0 res enhance in it
aid self needs 4x mixed heal/recharge IO sets and 2x interupt reduction IOs to be maximised.
Acro is well worth it to stop all the jokers with the nemesis staff ping ponging you while you jump, to counter that with IOs you need 5 KB IOs
Powersink is vital as an offensive weapon in your arsenel, nothing like sucking all the blue from an opponent
the 6 slots in stamina could be better served elsewhere especially as you have 7 lots of +5% recharge and can only have a maximum of 5 -

I'd like to add that traps cors and mm's, along with ff mm's get psi def, i'm aware def is as useful as a fully slotted feather duster in pvp, but thought I'd add it hehe.
But hey get enough forcefields in the right place and everyone insides got silly psi defense, expect to see warburg filled with more bubbles then your average aero bar.
And can I add a personal thanks to the devs for finally adding a future FoTM that defenders get epic resistance to (eat that fire and ice!)

There is no specific PSI defence in any giveable sheild, positional defence yes but unlike smash/lethal/fire/etc etc there is no psi defence and there are a number of positionally untyped psi attacks. FFG and dispersion does have def to everything but isnt "giveable" as I would personally classify it, pretty small defence too unless serious stackage but then is hugely undynamic

No heroside and melee toons have psi resistence, the rest of the vills dont, they dont even have any buffs to protect against psi damage, they have positional defence in ice sheilds but as we all know lol @ defence in pvp. Oh I tell a lie, there is always shadowfall...... -

The majority of thermal buffs and debuffs are resistance based so wont get a lot out of powerboost there.. The -def from melt armor, -end and -regen from heat exhaustion, toHit from Forge and the heals are all it will do for that set I think. Which will still be nice I guess.

given castles distaste for powerboost its likely many aspects from the ported over vill sets will be flagged to ignore it. -
SS is decent in pvp, its damage is significantly blunted at high level with all the epic sheilds but arguably shares second place for pvp melee attacks with stone melee.
SM has better burst damage, super fast animations and a mag 4 hold in seizmic smash that knocks off acrobatics that KO blow cannot do, SS has rage and the bizarre 10ft range in KO blow. -

Takes a week to kill anything but can stack over slow res in a matter of seconds and then just sit back and crush them to death. Dont forget TA makes earth holds work as there is no getting off the floor. 2 single target holds make stacking over mez protection effortless.
A blaster/emp/ta trio is so effective its not even funny, there is NO getting away from the blaster and the chances of tagging the emp/ta are greatly reduced with entangle being spammed destoying peoples movement, the days of lol TA are long gone, even before inventions my old fire/ta could hold through tank unstoppable.
Earth/ta is the ultimate annoyer and lays down -75% defence on just the 4 powers you really should take from the primary. Its also starting to get really disturbing (and annoying) the amount of TA players showing up in pvp these days, hero and villain.
There is little that isnt effective in pvp with the right mindset and approach (well ok warmace), even AR/devs have their place. -
