Catching aggro from Real Life™ / AKA "Wife Aggro"

The arc is still up, still getting plays and good feedback.

As a matter of fact, it's nearing 100 playthroughs now, which is about ... 80 more than I expected originally.

Thanks to everyone who took (or will take) the time to offer feedback for improvements.

When Kyo and I were casually talking about what to do with NPWN and this idea came up, it was definitely a "kiss of death" move.

Thanks for picking up the mantle Wolfie. Glad to see there is still interest in running these.

So glad even, that I'd like to donate 100M in influence to Kyo's contest, if she'll still hold it. I dare the generous Protector family to contribute influence or infamy specifically for this one-shot contest.

Last week was good to me, with no less than 5 purple recipe drops (more than in all my previous time playing since they were introduced.

I'll volunteer as a judge if you need one Kyo, but don't feel obligated to hire me because of the donation. Quite the opposite, since I have a SG event planned that evening.

My invulnerability tanker, my main, the one I have close to 5000 hours on, could take only one type of enhacement in 4 primary set powers and wasn't too fond of ED (nor GDN).

It took hundreds of millions in inf when IOs came out to get him back into a build which acted similarly. As a matter of fact, I completed it only during the last respec (during i13) where I managed to get Dull Pain perma again and didn't have to take Aid Self instead of most passives in my primary set anymore.

If ED had been around since day one, and powers designed accordingly from the start, it wouldn't have been so bad re: player reactions, I think.


*taps foot impatiently for Issue 15 to be launched only because it means Issue 16 will be closer to release.

For anyone trying this, I highly recommend the boxed mashed potato mixes, unless you're really good at whipping it up yourself to a lumpless perfection.

Status report from daughter just now via GTalk:

- Coming out of the bus to school this morning, had a following accompany her into building. Repeated requests for "a taste".
- When meatcake was prepared for class, English teacher kept complimenting it. Invited History class teacher over, since he was drooling, which he did.
- On way to class, with meatcake, school principal mentioned she liked the aroma, was invited but too busy to come over for a taste. Students accompanying principal tried to sneak away to follow daughter up staircase.
- Almost everyone in class had a (small) slice. some classmates took pictures.
- English teacher complimented presentation, originality, etc.
- Meatcake entirely consumed.
- Daughter happy. Says "Happiest day of her life"
- Stalemate racks up mucho "daddy points".

It's downright AMAZING what having a little cup of coffee will do to my eyesight in the morning.

Stuff just suddenly appears in my field of vision, that I SWEAR wasn't there before.

How about we place requests in one color, and offers in another - to make things easier for shoppers and the caffeine deprived?

This week alone I got 4 purple recipes and was disappointed to see fees in the millions for the sales (1 last purp sitting in WW right now, alone, so confident I'll eventually get my price for it, and a respec recipe which should go quickly too).

I'm definitely interested in offering loot here first.

So it turned out pretty good I think.

We had originally wanted to decorate it with Meatwad's likeness, but that turned out to be harder than expected as there was no time to whip up a darker glaze for the outlines.

I know she snapped a couple of shots with her digicam, so I'll try to add a link here later.

The hardest part of all this was *not* eating it.

I've done one of these before, and my daughter wanted to take one to school as part of her english class project (translating a recipe - english as 2nd language since we're French Canadians).

I'm currently in 3rd position for most badges on Protector, and still don't think it took all that much effort. Some would classify me as obsessed, or downright nuts, but for me badges are a type of endgame.

True, the harder to get (*cough* farm *cough*) badges are a PITA, and after close to 5000 hours logged on my main I still have a few of the harder ones to get. But on my favorite toon this is an activity I enjoy.

Overall Rating – This arc is worth playing for it design alone and it is at least mildly humorous throughout.

When i15 allows us to modify existing mobs further, you can bet I'll get cracking on that, unless it gets locked out first.

The shoulder pads might work from that set - the spherical ones are the ones I'm thinking about offhand, since that particualr piece seems visually defining for the Rikti.
