Since this has come up so often, I guess I will leak a feature of Issue 8:

You can change your title at any of the following levels:

    15, 25, 35, and 45

At 50 you can change your title at any time.

You need to visit a trainer still to change your title and they "don't stack" (in other words, if you don't use your level 35 change, you don't have two changes when you hit level 45).

There is no Influence or Infamy cost associated with this.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Posi you are the greatest !!! Thank you...I have been hoping for this for a while.
  2. Yeah, freely changeable. I dont care if it is by lev, by influence, by vet status, whatever.

I would like to see these things changeable from time to time...if I can change costumes and badges, why not be able to change that type of title.
    PLEASE PLEASE

I have to use a permanent change just to get "The" out from before my name of a lev 8 toon when the time comes. It sounded good at the time
  3. sweet, thanks

    Edit: oh yeah.... FIRST

    Did you know...

That back in the Beta for CoH, Statesman once sent a monster after a group that tried to grief him (Not realizing who it was they were teaming with...)?

That is sweet ! I have more respect for him now
  5. All I want (and I am relying on the forums for this) is a clear indication of the powers available and the "item" you have to hold to use them.

My character concepts are very important to me and I dont want to be running around with my Plant based toon (for example) and all of a sudden whip out a wand that shoots lightning bolts.

I need to pick my patron based on Patron, Patron's motives, powers given, AND item of power.

It is like picking kids for kickball: All the patrons standing in a line with their goodies hoping not to be picked last
  6. Honestly and I hate to admit it: When I first read that there may be random rare cards in the packs that would give you something in-game (like a new travel power look, costume item, etc) I was really interested in the cards.

Now that I read that you have to participate in tournaments or WIN said tournaments to get those items, I have lost interest.

I am too old to be going to tournaments and trying to win. I could pick up some cards and play with one person I know. Unfortunately, the CoH group that I know in real life has left the game except for one.

In my situation, I have NO reason to buy the cards. Hate to say it.

We're thinking that Shields would be a Primary AND a Secondary Power Set for Tankers - and a Primary Set for Scrappers...but this thinking might change.

Haha shields just a primary attack for scrappers. "I use this shield to bash the heck out of stuff. Oh no, they are throwing a knife at me...I better use my super reflexes so I don't get hit"
  8. Well in my opinion the only real problem with the natural toon using powers is the animations. While SJ is crazy for a natural it is just a jump animation. SuperSpeed though can be seen as just a fast guy but the animation shows light coming from your feet. Even fly, you can imagine technology giving that ability because the animations arent drastic.

If they let us turn off animations (at least in PvE) and/or change the colors of powers it would help alot
  9. Yay, Manticore joined this series of posts!!! Thanks! Didn't quite see Manty getting between the baddies and the crystal...gotta watch that again.

Do have to agree that I do like the superpowerless hero idea. Here's hoping that the powers Manty has are temporary.

On another note...obviously Synapse being taken out is a result of that whole super speed turning off for a few seconds like in game. He must have run into a bug or something...that counted as an attack....he got slowed, then owned.

    Poor guy.
  10. Exactly Liquid, it is a theory that the earth revolves around the sun. It is a really good and sound theory. Nice example
  11. gotcha...good point. It does look cool
  12. Oh an Celtic you say:

"It's not a theory if you can prove it"

Well that really is wrong. Nothing can be proven without a doubt. If you are talking scientifically then it is and will always be a "theory."

That is the end of my taking anything in this post seriously.
  13. Well I am a bow person and moving a foot or two up really will not do anything big for you. He could have easily fired off an arrow and knocked another in the time it took to teleport. That would have done much more for him.

Also, kneeling down is in no way a good way to fire a bow. So the sniper thing is out.

And boy am I worried about this group of people. Everything is taken so seriously that it is frightening. First off everyone (especially Celtic) has to cool it a little...learn to have fun with odd things you see.

I thought that this post might have people do a little joking around and have some fun. With all the hell that has broken loose with I5, people could really use a break. Instead I am really shocked to see that it is just impossible in these boards.

Yeesh guys...step away from the computer and have some fun. Then come back...you will be missed.
  14. Good theory.

I know how he got the power to "teleport" his arrow. There is no indication that he can do that to himself. Also, that would be a really cool graphic to have projectiles phase through or teleport past things.
  15. First off I am referring to the comic book and the CoV movies so don't read if you think something may be spoiled for you.

Ok so first off, in the CoV movie they show Manticore who teleports all of about 2 feet and then fires his bow.

In the new comic it says that Manticore has no super powers. In issue 3 he is able to shoot through/past Statesman without even realizing he could. He is then congratulated on his first super power.

Ok, so putting 2 and 2 together there is only one conclusion. Everyone screws with Manticore. He is a guy with no super powers and the comic shows that he gets absolutely no respect from his team.

How did he teleport? Someone on his team with teleport friend did it to him as a little joke. Why else would he teleport a couple feet to shoot a bow which is a RANGED weapon? It makes no sense at all unless he was being picked on.

I for one was on a TF when the leader picked up team teleport. The guy kept moving us all over the place against our wishes; even during battle. It got so bad that we all had to quit the TF with only one mission left.

So sad that there is an annoying player on that SUPER team of heroes. For shame!
