  1. Thanks for all of the advice, folks. Knowing the issue with the driver numbers and having a quick explanation of how to unstall the old drivers while making sure that my screen still works takes a lot of anxiety out of doing this. The last thing I wanted to do was screw up a 2-day-old computer.
  2. So this worked for your 285 card? I only ask because my drivers are version 8.15.11.8635, which seems like quite a different number than version 185.85. I'm honestly nervous about changing drivers to something with such a different number because I worry about the screen going black if I screw something up.
  3. I just finished downloading the windows updates on my new computer and wanted to run City Of Heroes. I had copied the game files off of my old computer, but starting it up resulted in an hour and a half download/fix. Now when a start it up, I get the backgournd music (complete with the bleeps when I push buttons), but the screen is black. I've upgraded from XP on a 1.6 GHz to Vista on an i7 core CPU with a GTX GeForce 285 graphics card. Currently I have my same old CRT monitor. Any thoughts on what the problem might be and how to fix it?
  4. I've got a new computer on its way to me, and I was wondering how easy it is to reload the program. Can I simply copy the game folder to an external hard drive and then onto the new computer?
