Not at all! The client can be redirected to join the EU servers just fine; the Wiki will have the exact list of ways, but basically, right click on your shortcut for the game, select properties, and there should be a dialogue box saying "Target: "C:\Games\City Of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" "

You just need to add -project "eucoh" to the end, so it looks like

"C:\Games\City Of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -project "eucoh"

And you should go direct to the EU servers, which will help with a glitch that occasionally means EU can't connect to the updater (although it's happened a lot less since I19).

Yes, the IC Missions channel! This channel exists for people feeling like some light IC missions to quickly find a team amongst other RPers online.

The channel exists to;

1. Help people without established links to make some, like new characters or entirely new RPers altogether.

2. Help RP characters who probably don't hang around bars or the GG statue during their downtime.

3. Allow RPing some "side stories" in character's lives, so to speak.

The channel is just called "IC Missions", and it's open to join so please go ahead and do so.

As a name that I can instantly remember even after a year and a half away, I'll be sad to see you gone.

Yeah, the only thing that works for me is skipping the updater when it gets tetchy. Not ideal, but it works, I suppose.

There seems to be a glitch on the European servers that the updater isn't working, and just cycles through the "Connecting #X" text. Is anyone else getting this?

Just resubbed, and I'm having trouble getting back in. I can login fine, and indeed could play fine until I swapped to windowed mode. Now every time I click on the server, the game freezes, usually on the server select screen but sometimes just after as the first character is rendered. I've updated DirectX and my card's drivers, but I am running Vista. Is there any way I can fix it or, barring that, just get it back to fullscreen without getting into the game proper?

I'm HOPING that the lack of a posted patch note, combined with the fact there was actually a NOTICE of the downtime means that they're putting off the patch note until the store reopens for Science.

Although, being a bit more cynical, I might think that the notice of downtime was a brief flare of competence, and that there's just no patch note because someone forgot to post them

Or, maybe, we forumites just post so damn fast and nobody's had a chance to fit one in yet. Maybe.

Whelp, I've been useful, and the store's still down... Still might be Science pack!... maybe...
