I do not think that ninja blade is that useless, Granted gamblers cut sucks big time, But i also find the other attacks in the set have much more uses than all out damage. You have two attacks with knockdown and even in PvP i have seen blasters/defenders and the odd scrapper flying about as they get splatted with soaring dragon.
Ah well it maybe just me but i find ninja sword a rather good set, Oh and who cares if everything has resistance to lethal atleast it's a decent challenge chopping someone up -
I find dark armour rather good myself in PvE and PvP, And yes the cloak of fear unhides you. So best to activate after your first assassins strike.
True very end heavy but then again i find most things PvE wise do not last that long with my ninja sword/dark armour stalker. Cloak of fear tends to makes hero's shiver in fear to, Which helps alot when out numbered which usually happens in PvP zones.
In not so many words it depends on the player not the set. -
I use a dom player and also a couple of stalkers myself, As a stalker player i do like to have a dom in the team and refrain from using placate on my targets due to the squishy nature of the dom, Which i know very well.
I usually use assassins claw/blade on the luits then i have my other 4+ attacks to use on the minions and/or other luits. You maybe suprised to find not all stalkers are useless, Some are very useful and are adept at preventing team wipes.
Like trial and error you find out who you want to team with when you actually team with them and find they are useful or useless.
Saying that as a stalker i usually find myself wondering why do i team with MM's that are quite adept at blocking doorways and charging ahead like they are invincible.
Oh and lastly don't expect everyone to act at top performance cause your playing on relentless and they are five levels lower, Destroys the object of the game which is meant to fun like so many have pointed out. Ever tried to fight a minion thats lvl 36 when your level 30?...it's like watching paint dry as the awesome 12 points of damage rolls off on your most powerful attack. -
Not got much beef with stalkers myself other than what was mentioned about the badly played ones. My main pet hate is badly played stalkers myself, But hey people play how they want to play.
Not keen on teaming myself to much, As i can blame most other AT's for not letting the stalker be a stalker if you want a scrapper play a hero or if you want a brute then invite one don't expect the stalker to be the aggro magnet.
Many teams i have joined and found that they "dislike" to wait about 20 seconds for the stalker to get into position, And on a side note i never leave combat to re-hide i think thats so lame, But thats just me :P
Oh and lastly just because i need to say it, I go into sirens alot recently and find it so very funny that hero's need IR goggles think all stalkers hate them, Guess we actually scare them.
