I don't call her that, of course. Never did.

Quote:Actually, no. The Emp team doesn't need global recharge because AB gives you +100% recharge.[...]Consider both teams will already have a high level of recharge to perma their T9s, the Pain comes off ahead in a massive way due to the diminishing returns of +recharge.
With just the recharge boost and 3 recharge SOs in AB it will recharge in about 102 seconds. Hasten in the same circumstances is only a few seconds from perma and would make AB perma.
It's possible that an all-Pain team might be better (whatever that means) with high end builds but I doubt it.
IMO Pain is good, but Empathy is better. Unfortunate, but there it is. -
Quote:I dunno, I ran tips with a level 50 a while back. Pretty much all of them are just boss + ambush kills or a glowy. Pretty much always in the last room. I've never really done low level tips though, so I can't comment on how easy/hard they are. Some good points from Exxar and Deacon. I guess you can always optimize something further.
I would think that even with the time spent gathering tips against relatively higher foes (on a lower level alt), it would be faster to level lock in the twenties and run tips that way provided the character you'd be using would have sufficient AoE power, as tips in the twenties just seem so much easier/faster, often with a single objective. I've never actually pursued tip farming so I may just be missing some knowledge, like what tips to drop and what tips to do, but I find level 50 tips often have tons of linked objectives that are annoying as hell to get done fast.
The advantage of running a 50 is that you can go 1shot level 20ish bosses to get tips quickly. That's something I didn't consider originally, the ease of obtaining tips. Nuking big spawns of minions works, as does killing bosses. On my Stalker I went to Sharkhead and ran around the graveyard island killing the bosses. Usually only needed to kill a couple to get the tips. -
Also, catgirls. Significantly less than Virtue though, I would imagine.

Aye well I did consider saying fuggit and bringing a tray full of BFs, wanted to do it without insps at first though.
Once I get all my ducks in a row I'll do a 'proper' run. Was also considering getting the webnade temp to keep him in place.
How did Cosmic Burst prevent you getting mezzed? I didn't tangle with him for long but it was his bow shots that were holding me. Did you not use CB and outrange him? If so that'd explain a lot of the time difference. I wasn't using Shout (because I don't even have it because it's a PoS) but I can chain Shriek and Scream gaplessly.
As for Reactive, nah I'm on 50% damage 25% -res. So given the Shriek/Scream machine-gunning, lots of -resProbably why he was so skittish, heh.
-
So I got my t3 Reactive on my Empath today and wanted to do some testing. First tried Chimera, mez was pissing me off since I don't have Clarion. Tried normal Romulus, problem was he ran everywhere. I didn't even need to use my toggles or heals/regen, he only attacked me once every 30 seconds or so. Just ran and ran and ran. Drove me nuts.
So I asked a friend to come in and taunt him so he'd stay in place. Just to get a rough idea for how long it'd take to drop him since I was taking him down before, just a PitA to chase him around.
So. With friend taunting (not attacking) it took me 10:54 to drop an even level Romulus with my Emp/Sonic. Once I get my Clarion t3 I'll attempt Chimera again. I didn't bother Frapsing it since you know, had someone taunting. Doesn't really count for a proper AV solo.
Although thinking about it, I was also at an arguable damage disadvantage. With 1 teammate taunting, I was only getting 2/3 the possible Vigilance buff :3
God it was boring though. I don't know how you blasted away at Chimera for 23 minutes, 11 was bad enough for me. -
Best? Probably a Scrapper of some kind. FM/WP or something.
That said, IMO you'd be best off with a character you enjoy playing that is best suited to the task. No need to make grinding tips even more arduous than it already is. If you're working on a whole slew of characters, run the tips with them. Just integrated the tips into your normal mission running. If you run tips with several characters you'll be able to generate a lot more A-merits over time than focusing on just one character. -

Quote:Elf, I've said it before and I'll say it again.I'm just saying... A pirate shouldn't be moding any channels since they onlyy have 1 leg and a bird that does more talking then the pirate. Plus the bird is little bit smarter then the pirate... and then. The never saw a skinny pirate unless your one of those samolia pirate or something. Cause, usually pirates are pretty fat and hairy. Have your ever seen a blue cover pirate?
You are a treasure. Never change. -

Quote:If you really think this is an applicable analogy then you either a) don't understand the book or b) don't understand the channels.Currently I'm reading the "God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, so I see this as "Natural Selection". CU is a mutation of the BMT. Only time will tell .....
Or maybe even c) both. Who knows? -
Huh, I thought it was first coined by someone else making fun of Bud.
