Ah, got to love new issues, all the awesome updates, especially crashing while loading onto the log in screen/form!

Yea, I'm having the same problem, I'll throw out my specs I suppose....win 7 64 bit, SLI (2x) 9800 GT nvidia gfxcards. Most up to date stable-released drivers from nvidia installed. Was working 100% yesterday. Only possible way I am able to log-in is checking the safe mode box in the updater (bottom right on the EULA page). Although if I change my gfx/resolution in game while in safe mode, log out (because it said I needed to for resolution changes and such to take affect...), start the updater, then just when a glimmer of hope appears, "City of heroes has encountered an error" 100% of the time (after i17 came out and I patched to it.) i load coh normally (launching via updater) this happens, like i said only possible way is safe mode.... If you devs or whoever thinks they can help need more info on my comp specs then just ask...But I've pretty much tried everything possible....Besides a full reinstall-re-update....

P.S. It won't even show the login form/buttons/text fields. It loads with the mouse loading symbol then after about 5-10 seconds it turns the mouse cursor to a typing (I) type cursor because the "City of heroes has encountered a problem" Error report box shows up and such. Like I said it was working 100% yesterday, and even 1 month ago, 2 months ago, etc...I've had this computer for a while too.... And when I set the settings in safe mode the only option I change is my resolution, but it still keeps crashing even set to minimum gfx and such....

So once again, I17 has some pretty nice updates compared to past issues....crash on start-up is a pretty awesome content update :s

When do you crash: 1) While running around in my base and was near the big generator computer things with floor panel things (not sure what the base item terminology is) 2) After using the base teleporter and zoning to creys folly then running a few yds/miles/seconds/etc i crashed again with the same type of write what you were doing and send.
Does it affect all characters: Not sure yet haven't played another character after the patch
Does it affect only characters in one or more SG's or VG's: Don't think so another one of my sg mates has been playing fine after the patch just said they experienced a little "rubber banding"
