Thank you for the advice. I had started a dp/eng blaster before but was feeling a lack of power of all things. I just made an eng/eng blaster on freedom and was enjoying the power and crunch it had. In arena for the big guys the kb wont touch them. I am antisipating any others less than that at least some midigation.

Thank you for the response. I do agree that stalkers are best in a team. We're the damage spike that can't be held back for (at least on that first shot). I will look at doing the /wp as well, was thinking about mixing it up from my current KM/EA stalker. The big request I am doing in this thread is seeking strategy assistance. Even if this is something better communicated in game, I would be more than happy to meet up with someone in there for going over information. I also realize that (pre I22) stalkers are not seen as the best, so if it is better to be stronger in PVP with a different AT, I'm willing to do that as well.

I have fallen in love with stalkers. I don't know what it is about the set, it just clicks with me in game. I will freely admit, I've read a lot here, so I went with one of the stronger sets. KM/EA for my combo. I'm at level 37 at time of this writing and my SG had told me to wait til 38 for IO slotting. That said, I'm excited about getting the real damage output and procs and such from IO's into my build. Unfortunately... I don't know what to look for.

Mids is a nice, solid tool.. if you know what you're doing. Kinda hard to hammer the nail, if you don't know what nail to use though.

So, can someone give me an idea of general IO sets to look for? I abuse the 100% crit for burst, love concentrated strike, etc etc.. I just don't know what to try and put in when I can see 4 different melee sets, yanno?

I've been someone who has lurked a lot on the forums, trying to gather as much information as I can. I have found that Ware's seems to rule the roost atm. I enjoy PVP in general for CoH because there is an amount of speed that really can't be obtained in any other game I've played.

I want to become better at PVPing in CoH.. last I played was just after CoV released, so before the I13 death of PVP. I've done a little currently and my SO's slotted stalker hasn't been able to touch IO'ed scrappers, I've still taken significant chunks out of their HPs. I think I could be good, but I need to learn more.

So, from what I've read, Freedom is where it's at for PVP. My preference is stalkers, however I am more than happy to play something else. The other ones I enjoy are brutes, corruptors and MMs. I have about 200 mil at my disposal and I'm willing to put time in to learn how to expand my capabilities. Are there people willing to teach a gamer how to get good at PVP in CoH?
