Yeah, I looked at those shields. tbh, for the relatively small resistance (10-20%) I don't think it's worth 2 of my powers.

I had considered taking the rez, but I guess that's only useful if I'm one of the ones still standing, which traditionally I'm quite the opposite.

Guess I might have room for invis if I plan it.

WHat do you reckon for stam needs? Think I'll need to kiss 3 powers away to stam?

i'd prefer the damage route. My days as primary healer are over...the memories are...too...painful [sniff]

So I'm more aiming to be a damage dealer that carries a box of plasters, rather than a ambulance with a peashooter

I re-rolled FireScar last night as a fire/fire corruptor, so any input would be appreciated.

I mentioned it to Sparky last night. I want this one to be a TP'er, so I'd also like stealth, but don't really want the rest of the Invis PP. I'd also like hover if it can be fitted, as it's a good safety net for tp self.

Ideally I want her to give some big damage wherever possible.

I've left flares out, cos it's pretty wimpy.

Would appreciate your thoughts.

I was pretty underwhelmed with it I'm afraid, which is a shame as it looked so good from the trailers.

What I did see however that I enjoyed far more than I expected to, was Da Vinci Code.

Thought it was a good adaptation of the book, and didn't feel it was rushed at all, which is what a lot of the critics said.

actually, I never knew there was a VG recruitment thread. Why don't we combine 2 aims here? If we place a post in the VG recruitment thread, we could also place a link to a static webpage (without forums) that tells people about who were are and what we do.

I think Kitty's right - having forums in 2 places is a BAD idea. You've got no consistent way of communicating with your SG, and if people read one forum but not the other it's going to be more hassle than it's worth.

Seems that best solution is we can link to a webpage about us from the forums, and link back to the forums from our website.

i think it's great that you're taking such an active interest in the SG - it's nice to have you on board.

as for your points:
1. I must admit, this forum is getting a touch unweildy now that we're on page 34, although one thing it does have in it's favour is that it's accesible to everybody that plays the game. My only concern with a dedicated is how much traffic it would get, and how easily people could find it.

2. As for SG movie, I think Kitty's already made quite enough of those Seriously though, I have no idea of what would be involved or how it would look, so I'm very flexible on the matter (but not as flexible as Kitty was in "Paragon Vice IX")

3. I like the idea of us having some SG pics.

4. Voice? you need to pay premium rates for that!

5. What we really need is for everyone to be contributing to the forums. right now this whole thread is just one long conversation! If the forums were actively used then you're right, it would really need to be able to support multiple threads (eg: raids, build suggestions, kitty being wonderful etc)

So, I guess that means the first step will be to actually get everyone contributing to the forums, so see what you can do Zanji. Speak to the SGers and tell them about the things you'd like to do and get them to be a part of it.

Once the need to expand the forum grows we'll be in a much better position to see what we need.

I'd go corrupter too Lady, not least because I don't recall you having been one before, but also, I have a lvl 10 nrg/rad who I'd like to level, and I won't play her while we're racing brutes!

well, I went to the dark side last night and went on test server. Got killed dead quick though

I used the NRG/NRG brute build to 40. SHe didn't last long, but the lag wasn't helping!

I was going to buy a new computer, but it doesn't come with Windows XP.

Now, I'm not going to be using my old one after this (it's a HP 'Family' PC) but the XP on that came pre-installed and the setup disk needs to be created from the hard drive.

What are my odds of that setup disk only running on an HP?

Am I going to need to shell out an extra £80 for ANOTHER version of XP?

Or....(and I know someone that can do this for me) will there be any problems if I just take the hard drive out of the old PC and put it in the new one? Will that save me having to faff about?

Well I won't do anything as yet, cos I know Kitty has got up-close and personal with DM, so I'll be interested to see any follow-ups she makes to your post, even if they do berate us for holding TP in higher regard than crappy DS

Anyway, I've got an alt to get levelling before Lady logs on later.

BTW, that patrol mish in BB - it only let me do it 3 times. Now, whether or not this is 3 times ever, or a day, or just 3 times until I use my temp power I don't know, so I'll keep trying it out to see if i can get the measure of it.

However, even with that in place, if you multiply the number of real people in the SG by 3, then by the number of alts... you're still looking at a good prestige haul.

Basically if we get 10 people doing it 3 times, we're looking at nearly 8K prestige for under 20 minutes work.

Sounds worth it in my book.

Hmmm, Vengeance AND Dark Servant...I've never rated either. I have DS now and never use him as I literally can't see the impact he has.

Mind you, he does debuff my frame rate considerably at times....is that what he's supposed to do?

I was seriously considering dropping him in favour of TP friend, just because I think i'd use the latter more.
