I am running a SS/FA brute so my main attacks are smashing? A guess would say to fight robots or find something that is vulnerable to smashing damage. Optimimal would be to go against something that has fire attacks since fire is my highest resist that is vulnerable to smashing damage which is my most common damage type.
So far I am liking the Brute a lot. I am currently lvl 25.
My question is how do you easily pin point the enemy group that will give you an edge? A web site like paragonwiki? Are there any other sites out there that have this type of information on mobs? -

Thanks Silas this works like a charm. DPS is MUCH higher, and my Fury bar stays around 70-80 whereas before it was 20-30 or so at the max. Damage is waaaay higher. -

I started a SS/Fire Brute last night, and got her up to lvl 17. I must say I like the toon. Does anyone know what the exact damage modifiers are for scrapper, brute and tank? I was going to make a shield toon, but ended up going SS/FA instead. If the numbers are very different then I guess I can save SD for a scrapper.
Also I noticed I do a crap ton of damage when my fury bar is high. What is the best way to keep fury going? Does anyone ever use teleport as a travel power to just TP into the next mob to preserve fury? is that worth it at all? -

Why Shield/Dark? because of Siphon Life? I would think Shield/SS would have been the better choice for pure DPS, but they do not have self healing capability so that would be my guess. Please explain.. even though I dont care to ever try and solo an AV with a Tank it does say alot about power set differences. I have been toying around with a Invuln/DM build as an Epic/Endgame Tank build (I dont like stone) so Dark has become a bit more interesting to me. -
Can you supply an AV solo'ing build for those of us that do not have unlimited funds?

I am new to the game, and my SG runs alot of task forces. My first character has already hit 50 (ill/RAD) controller, and I have started another character just to run taskforces with. He is currently a level 35 Fire/Fire tank. I would like everyone to look at my build and give me some pointers. This build is intended for Positron, Sister Psyche, and Synapse. If I play him in content that is higher level its usually as part of a group that doesnt really need a tank anyway for xp, merits. I chose the Fire tank because he seems to mature quickly, and has high levels of fire, toxic(via healing flames), dark, and energy resists. I want him to be as tough as possible, and still deal a little damage or at least enough to get the mob's attention. I do have a build with an option for taunt. I have never used it, and frankly on the SG task forces that it doesnt seem to be needed at all. Let me know what you think. Thanks
