Everyone seems to assume that all PuGs are full of idiots
[/ QUOTE ]I don't think so. I am PuGing constantly, that makes me an idiot?
What I am trying to say is that you don't know if the tanker you're going to invite has the needed know-how. If s/he doesn't, trying to explain him/her during the mission between 6 other members waiting for the "fun" to begin, will probably not gonna work (at least not from the beginning) or drive some impatient teammates to leave the team. -
[ QUOTE ]
There's nothing to stop the two tanks both running aura's really.
[/ QUOTE ]
But there is: If they are unable to co-operate (remember, we are talking about PuG, where probably they meet for the first time), they will begin to taunt either same foes, losing some others, either two different mobs in two different directions, thus making team to be confused wasting their AoEs and/or splitting them. -

About the Sewer Trial, I will probably organize it as an SG event. We will see.

Hopefully we will see you there. -
Ah... the rocketman badge...
Never got it because never had the patience to launch 10 missiles.
About the salvage now:
It's called "access bypass" and saves you few minutes. I don't think it's worth the inf. and I don't know who drops it.
Anyway, send me a tell until 8:30 PM GMT @Saxtus and I will show you around if PvPers let me. I can't stay later than 10:00 PM GMT (and "if") due to the bad combination of timezone difference and work next morning.

Probably going to roll a....well have a guess
[/ QUOTE ]Umm... a fender? -

Someone who knows what's what showing the Warburg run would be spiffy too.
[/ QUOTE ]You mean the Missile Launch thingy? I'll be happy to show you tonight if you like.
If it's not that, please explain.
Also I have a lvl39 alt to help you begin the sewer trial. If you can't find someone to organize it, then... I'll think of something.
Let me know. -
It seems I missed the post where you say what is you specific team composition.
Ah... then I won't be able to participate...
Good luck to the rest of you. -
If you set it early enough on Sunday, I can be there with a lvl50 SS/Inv brute.
-
Adhara: 36
I was teamed up with Lallia after waiting for almost an hour (until 13:50) for others to come.
Jay was at villain side not accepting enemy messages, others was absent.
I prefer not to comment. -

i was about to log in but checked the forums as there ain't a word about it i didn't even bother to log in.
[/ QUOTE ]It seems that you put me to your ignore list and you can't see my posts in the forum, if not... then I can't explain it.

If tomorrow you can meet Psy-knight at 18:30 London time
[/ QUOTE ]I can but only until few minutes before 19:00 GMT, because it is the all-domi night tonight. I couldn't make it last time because something in RL come up and I miss them all... -
For the records, I left the team that Cobalt built for us, after the timed mission has been completed and I always kept a free space for him in case he come back.
Don't expect me next Sunday except if something got organized in this thread at least 4 days before. -
I will be there at 13:00 GMT (as every time you missed it).
Alt will be depended if Chin will make it or not. -
Yep, I can see the rest of the team is standing back watching/leeching. Thanks for digging this up. Now it isn't so hard to understand that too much power in one hero leads to nerfing the usefulness of teams and archetypes thus making the process of leveling a tedious task of rinse/repeating. Good think that devs understood that early enough.
@TG: Your build seems impressive if you stay at lvl50 for ever. About Ouroboros: It seems that you doomed it form the beginning. You see it as a tool to get badges and powers and not as an excuse to team up with others that is lower level than you... About hushing me while I am speaking about exemplaring: There other ways to extend a level's 50 life, that doesn't include PvPing and grinding. Also there is a reason why, at comics, the hero isn't overpowered. Who read a comic where the evil is doomed for sure from the beginning? -
[ QUOTE ]
What are we talking about here? Exemplaring? I thought this is about aggro cap.
[/ QUOTE ]
We are talking about aggro cap, then you start discussing about what i9 bring to us and explained us about your enhancement sets tight build of yours that is able to support the weight of the agro cap lifting and I answered you that builds like that can't compare to those without sets after exemplaring. Remember, one of the major things to come is Ouroboros, it lives from exemplaring and it's normal to be on the center of every discussion. Everyone's mind goes there while discussing builds from now on.
[ QUOTE ]
It has to do with you stating what makes me think that we can achieve pre ED values.
[/ QUOTE ]
It seems that I am not in position to compare, as I wasn't here pre-ED, so do you care to give us specific numbers of *every* aspect of a character, one pre-ED and one post-sets so me and the rest reading us, can understand better?
[ QUOTE ]
Who said anything about needing support. The point is that this feels like a pre ED tank considering i can herd the aggro cap in a 6-8 man spawn and just go afk with hoarfrost on auto while i stand there with level 52 mobs (excluding psi mobs ofc).I dont need anyone to cover me which is kinda my point.
[/ QUOTE ]
Do you speak about *your* tanker or all kinds of tankers? If you can achieve all these only with only one powerset and not the others, then you better ask devs to lift aggro cap only from specific powerset only.
[ QUOTE ]
After reading this i cant help it but laugh. What does ourobros and low level pvp zones have to do with aggro cap.Unless you wanna tell me you herd in pvp too. Also wth Ourobros has to do with aggro cap.
[/ QUOTE ]
Although I explained above, I have to once again tell here that tight builds like yours, might suffer badly without their sets running after exemplaring. The discussion is lifting the aggro cap that is back again after you've been exemplared even one level below your most precious sets?
[ QUOTE ]
Herding IS NOT for all missions you know and all situations. In fact sometimes it sucks.
[/ QUOTE ]
Check out other posts of me, we totally agree there.
[ QUOTE ]
Like that time i heard you told team to wait went to herd and you got locked down at the other side of map and started yell to attack.
[/ QUOTE ]
I hear a lot of things too about many people, that doesn't mean that I know all the facts or that I will comment specific persons' play style at public fora, so if you have some problems about what you hear about me, you might want to discuss them personally with me instead of saying here generic things that you have "heard".
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah i know this is an MMO but you seem to fail to understand what we talking about here which i dont blame you since you dont really have the comparison between pre ED,ED era and IO's.
[/ QUOTE ]
Once again I totally agree with you and believe I am not the only one that can't grasp it. Feel free to enlight us with numbers instead of just describing what your build can do. -
Both of you forget two things about it.
1) To earn all those, you have to give up other things. For example, if your enhancement sets are low enough to allow you to exemplar, you don't get the full enhancement of what you was going to get with higher enhancements. If your enhancement sets are too high, you will have serious problems with exemplaring (TFs, Ouroboros, low level PvP zones etc). You can't expect everyone to have for example 2-3 kind of tankers and 2-3 kinds of empaths for every level range you need them!
2) What AM, AB and fort has to do with your tight tanker build? Or do you expect to always have one of your perma-AB friends around to cover you? You can't expect everyone that you team with to build their characters in a pseudo-preED form, it is an MMO after all... That confines you way more than my previous statement. -
Devs were clear about inventions: You don't have to use them, they aren't balance breakers.
What makes you think that inventions introduced so enormous changes that, one year after, we are close to pre-ED era? -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Also the challenge to battle with the cap, is a motivation by itself.
[/ QUOTE ]
You cannot battle the cap. What motivation. You can herd 17 mobs thats it.A tank wont even blink with this. There is no stress put towards the tank AT within PvE whatsoever imho.
Breaking the cap alone is not possible and thats about it.
[/ QUOTE ]
No no! You got it all wrong!
Let me quote what the great BurningFist said a year ago:
[ QUOTE ]
I'm saying that the aggro cap requires teams to be adaptable to changing situations, whereas before the aggro cap was introduced it was all to often about repeating the same situation ad nauseum.
Unpredictable fights = fun. Tanker locked aggro = tedium.
[/ QUOTE ]
I couldn't agree more. -
Releasing I3 with so many "server-deadly" bugs already known to public, is like begging the devs to postpone the release of new features and concentrate on re-starting test server every 10 minutes.
-
If you recall the reason that the limit was put, you will understand why you'll not see something like that again...
Also the challenge to battle with the cap, is a motivation by itself. -
Because my time machine is broken, I am unable to be banned from the game, sorry...
