  1. I won't be using the power. I don't like the chance of a negative effect.

Other than that I think this is the best booster pack I've seen in quite awhile. I'd still really like to see organic claws, but you can't get everything! Anyways, here is my Claw/WP Brute Sam Sneed. He is getting a slight make over and will be using the widow claws which are barely noticable, so it appears he is attacking with the organic gloves.

  2. I like really like some of the stuff in this booster, and that is about as much as you can hope for. The one thing I was very disappointed to see was that there were no "mutant" claws. Some of the costume peices are very twisted and jagged looking....would have made a very cool set of claws. Plus is would have looked neat when paired with the mutant gloves.

I suppode the same could be said for Spines.

I wasn't aware they could tattoo over existing black tattoo....thanks for the info though. I'll definetly ask about that. If I could just run a small bit of water or have some scales in that big black void....it would make a huge difference.

So yeah, I think you succeeded there. If somebody didn't know to look for the shape of the old tattoo, It's not recognizable.
Kewl! This is what I was hoping to hear. It's quite obvious to me, but I know exactly what I'm covering. I probably should have waited to post the old tat to get more honest feedback. As you said, once you see what it's covering, it becomes quite obvious.

Here is how it will layout.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. It's a biggen and gonna cost grande $$$ so I'm trying to build my confidence up before I take the leap. I don't want to have another tattoo I don't like!
  5. This is what I'm covering....

  6. Pardon that this isn't game related, but I know quite a few artistic minded folks frequent this part of the forum and I need some feedback. I don't really have any artist friends, so I'd thought of you fine folks.

Here's the low down. I got this tattoo on my calve when I was 16. It's a Da Hui which is a symbol for surfing....most people think it is Casper the ghost or Mr. Hanky.

I've had it for 16 years and I'm finally ready to cover it up. This hard to do when it's a 3" x 4.5" solid black bolb, so it's been challenging to design something that isn't completely obvious.

The design I made below fits around the old tattoo very tightly, maybe too tightly. I want to avoid a black blob as much as possible, but I also don't want to incase the old tattoo so closely that you can still plainly see a Da Hui shape. So what do you think?

  7. I would, but I actually had to copy and paste that from an old post here on the forums. I don't even have Mids on my computer anymore
  8. Here is my build. It's willpower, but you might get some ideas that you can use for electric or dark.

  9. My DB brute is willpower, but I have an electric and he is great too. The lightning reflexes make it that much easier to get a good buzzsaw attack chain going.

I prefer BF-AS-VS-SS. VS is a bit of a longer animation, but the extra DoT you get from the Vitals combo more than makes up for it. It also allows you to consentrate on the biggest boss of a mob, while slowly thinning out the lower guys. By the time I take out a boss, all the surrounding mob is usually dead just from the Vitals combo DoT.

Gloom is sick and goes with any set. I use it very often with my DB.

If you can slot a bunch of the damage procs in your atatcks, especially the purple ones, DB is a ridiculously good ST killer.

    Good Luck!

    Graphics issue

Not trying to be rude or anything, but I'm not really looking for anyone to critique my rig. I'm quite certain everything is well beyond the requirements. I'm just curious if anyone else has this exact issue. If anyone has, then we can compare our rigs to look for something in common...but I don't think listing all my info is needed right now. I just wanna know if anyone else has has a thin grey line running horizontally across thier screen.

    Graphics issue

For the most part the new Ultra setting play well for me. My one issue is that some times, mostly when outside, I get a single thin grey line going across the center of my screen horizontaly. Has anyone else had this usse? Anyone have any guesses at what might be causing it?

I solo just about every AV with mine, solo Pylons, and kick *** in PvP. Can do the RWZ challenge with ease in under three minutes. Guess your build must be jacked up. If you drop 1k Cuts and the Aoe, it can be a sick single target DPS machine, with the Sweeping Strike cone clearing out entire mobs is mere seconds.

There aren't really any bad sets, just different sets that get misused and mislabeled.

That just isn't true. Faster cast times usually mean higher DPS....and for the record Dual Blades is a great set if you know how to use it.
  14. Sam_Sneed

    New Power sets?

    Thanks for that!

I was hoping for a quick set with fast animations, kinda the opposite of energy melee....that looks like some very long animations though Oh well. Still looks neat.
  15. Sam_Sneed

    New Power sets?

I saw that Electric Control and Kinetic Melee are in the pipeline. Is there any information, pics, or even just threads talking about this? Kinetic Melee in particular. Thanks.
  16. The standard excepted by this player base is amazing. You will actually make excuses for a poor product again and again. It's amazing how excited you all get over more band aids. Just keep smothering this pig with more lipstick, i'll pass. Don't worry, I did cancel both my subscriptions and no you can't have my stuff or my names.
  17. I'm really happy about the Ultra mode, because honestly this game looks so old and dated it's hard to look at. Other than that it looks like another so called issue that is really a glorified update. Grahpic improvements, QoL improvemnts, Architect improvements, unlocking Epic ATs earlier, emotes, badges....wth? Where's the beef? All this means to me is Going Rogue won't be out till September or October. Another 6 months with no real new content to play. I'm over it. Email me when you quit beating this outdated dead horse and start making CoH2.

    R.I.P. CoX
  18. I figured it out.

If anyone else has this problem, right click the CoH Updater and choose properties. Select the compatability tab and check the "Disable display scaling on high DPI setting" option. Hit apply and your good to go. Cheers!
  19. Was personally very disappointed to see that Blasters did not get a new secondary to go along with Dual Pistols. I was hoping for a "natural" KungFu type secondary, but anything would have been nice.
  20. If I uncheck advanced options, it does stay. When I try to start up in safe mode, the load screen is all zoomed into the top left corner just like when I try to start in niormal 1280x1040 full screen.

I've noticed it also is making the windows and fonts a bit distorted. All the writing in in game is kinda hard to read. It looks like when you watch a really small low res video in full screen mode. Kinda pixellated and blurry. I set the size of the windows down to 70%, so they are ok, but the text balloons and pull down menu appear very large. Something is definetly messed up.
  21. I've noticed my 3D resolution scaling option in game, is only going upto 853x623? Everything is set 1280x1040....I think this is the problem, but don't know how to fix it. When the slider is maxed out it is at 853x623.
  22. I appreciate the link. I was able to set CoH to be windowed and can get into the game now. The problem is it looks like garbage even at the highest settings. If I set it to full screen, and rebbot, the sign in screen is all zoomed in again and i can't log in. Not sure what the problem is. My video card is an ATI HD4600 and ran the game great before with Windows XP. Now with Windows 7 it looks horible.

    Unable to load

We are experiencing the same exact problem and both running Windows 7.. I thought it could be helpful to compare.
  24. Sam_Sneed

    Unable to load

Don't mean to threadjack, but maybe we can find something in common that could be causing the issue?
