Once more, Clogg had been able to escape...
Twice already, he had managed to slip away from Dark's grasp. The first time it happened, she could do nothing but fall back, overwelmed by Clogg's lieutenants. Try as she might, she was unable to reach Clogg.
Fireball after fireball, Dark Terror had destroyed Clogg's perfected Oscillators and perfected gears, but more just kept coming at her, and she had no other option but to pull back due to their relentless attacks. Dark Terror never gave up hope, and tracked him into a building in Steel Canyon, there, she kept pressing and was able to defeat one after another Clogg's Lieutenants. It hadn't been easy, but she had done it, and she had been able to separate Clogg's personal bodyguards away from him as well, leaving the meanancing clockwork boss all alone and trapped. The fighting had taken all her strenght, and she stopped and rested for a minute or two before She concentrated as much as she could for her final assault, she had tried it twice before already, only to be pulled back by Clogg, a diabolical Clockwork machine, Now, she had decided that this would be her final attemp, and that she would do her best to apprehend Clogg or fall trying.
She attacked now, hoovering behind Clogg as she slowly approached him, semi invisible thanks to her stealth powers.With all her might, she attacked, catching Clogg by surprise, Dark was using every single ounce of strenght she had left, and her fire balls proved it, the damage done to Clogg was extensive those first thirty seconds, but it did not last, the clockwork menace quickly retaliated, hitting Dark so hard that she could feel the pain deep inside her body, and she felt bones break and blood spilled out from her wounds. Still, she fought on, trowing fireballs and blazes and burning her endurance at an astounishing rate, managing to continue to hurt Clogg, blowing off a limb and seriously damaging the robot's torso. Still, even at half health, Clogg did not slowed down. One of the advantages of being a robot, not feeling any type of pain. On one last, desperate attemp, Clogg clovered Dark so hard, that she flew off into the floor and pass it. crashing into the lower levels and being burried alive from all the fallen debries. But she had managed to seriously hurt Clogg, and he did not pursued, but instead went deeper into the building and began fixing itself. The damage dealt had been extensive, but repairable, and Clogg was confident of Dark's demise to not worry about moving to another location. Yes, this layer would suit him fine, he just needed to get more minions ready.
Unknown to him, Dark had barely survived. Seriously hurt and bleeding badly, she slowy stood up and proceeded to make her exit silently, this fight had been lost for today, no use continuing. She knew she needed medical aid and fast, and decided against all her instints to just walk away for now and to retun later. She had learned a few things about Clogg as she fought him, and she knew she would return. Yes, she would, she swore that she would capture Clogg once and for all, but she would prepare, and next time thing would be different.
She was different from a lot of other heroes in that she never ran out of though fights. As a matter of fact, she chosed the though ones for herself, after all, no pain, no gain. This had suite her just fine, even when on more than one occasion, she had been close to perishing, the Field Analists had her written down as Invincible, because she would fight villains 3 times as strong as her and she still managed to not only survive, but to capture them as well. Of course, such recklessness had a price, a price that sometimes was too stip to pay. Just like today, she was seriously hurt.
She walked slowly and manage to null the pain long enough to regain flight, and slowly made her way to the hospital. She managed to make herself semi-invisible, and so was able to avoid anyone that might have an interest on using this moment of weakness to finish her off, but the pain she had to endure to accomplish this was unbearable! she was able to get to the hospital dorrs before craashing on the floor and loosing conciousnes.
As Dark fell to the floor, a nurse that happened to be passing by on her way to work saw her fall and immediately called for help from the inside. Nurses and Doctors came to her aid and soon had Dark inside ans stable.
Dark stood in a comma for 3 days, regaining conciousness only for a few spoiratic times before falling into a deeper sleep as before. The Doctors knew not what to do, for Dark seemed not to be recovering...
