  1. Hello Virtue community. I am here to let any science-based super groups know that I am interested in joining an RP SG of that nature. My hero's name is "EnergySplit" (Energy/Energy Science Blaster) and the base of my character's uniqueness is that each of its five costumes represents something else. For example the main costume, huge build, is red/gold/black with a tights/tech theme and represents rage and power. I can go over the other four prior to joining if necessary.

    I am an experienced roleplayer in CoH and have been a contributing member in RP SGs. I am generally not in character when doing missions (unless of course they are RP teams to begin with) but whenever I am in a base I usually walk around in character. The reason I am looking for a new one for this character specifically is because those other SGs are simply dead now after months of inactivity by regular members and officers alike.

    EnergyShift's story is fairly simple; it exists, it is constantly changing, and it has the desire to fight crime. It is of course much more detailed than that but that's the basis of it. This simplicity makes it fairly easy to fit into any SG's own storyline and I am willing to adapt my character's background accordingly. Also, I have no preference to large, medium, or small size super groups so long as they are active enough with at least three people.

  2. So we all know that in the latest addition to the power sets, defense/buff was the focus with shields and healing for villains (pain domination.) So I thought that I'd like to put my suggestions for the next addition to the power sets with some attack-based ones! Keep in mind that I'd prefer if people didn't slam any of these as they are suggestions. Discussion? Sure!

    First I would like to request/suggest an attack set based off of "whips." What would be the mechanics? Well I think that it would be fun to give scrappers, brutes, and tankers a set that's based off of minor range. Now I'm not saying that they should get blaster range, but something outside of normal melee. Perhaps the range of what dark embrace or other armor AoEs? Also in regards to animation within the game I think this would be fairly simple (in regards to the other amazing accomplishments), and could even just be used with other preexisting power sets such as broad sword. If someone was holding a whip as opposed to a sword whenever a sword attack occurred, I could see it happening realistically. As for what kind of whips I would like; chains, leather whips, laser/plasma, elemental...there's plenty of options.

    The next suggestion is purely for the masterminds as I think that they've been stuck with the five powers too long. What if a mastermind had a pack of ferocious animals at their disposal? Or was even crazy enough to have created monstrous mutants with no mind of their own? I think if an animal/mutant based minion was introduced, there would be a lot more science/mutant masterminds in the Isles.

    If those two power sets were introduced into the game, not only I but I believe many other people would very much enjoy them for RP, or making even more unique characters. Also, I didn't want to go crazy with suggestions as the trend has usually been that any new power sets came in pairs.

    I would like to throw out some minor ideas I've talked about with other people. Wind/Water based ranged powers such as the one the Coralax has or a condensed version of storm summoning, throwing knives for stalkers/scrappers,
  3. Greetings everyone, I'd just like to throw some more ideas out there that I've talked over with people who would like to see them applied to the games. Of course they're open to discussion and editing but these are opinions so keep that in mind.

    For the bases I was dreaming of slightly interactive items. For example, I think so many groups would benefit from the addition of training dummies like the drones in the tutorials or the Rikti figures in the Vanguard base. Being able to actually attack something would add make roleplays, general use of bases, and private training much easier and fun. Also, music in the bases would be awesome. Perhaps a stereo in which you click on and then change the station to one of the normal boombox selections in our emote list? Lights we can turn on and off, TVs we can change the channels on, and more minor stuff. If I had to pick one thing it'd definitely be the training dummies.

    For the costumes aspect of the game I wish there were more animal-based items. Masks/hoods that resembled animal heads (with the character's face showing through and open mouth or something similar) and more kinds of "monster" legs would be awesome. Even minor editions like fins or feathers to arms, talons, more kinds of tails, "monster" heads, would be excellent. Now I'm not a game designer (yet) but perhaps this is a good idea for another super booster pack?

    Also I think it'd be cool if there were some small costume sets you would only be able to purchase through AE tickets. New ones or old ones already in the game, doesn't matter to me.
