I've heard of the whole black as a primary thing, but I believe this costume turned out well.

    http://s224.photobucket.com/albums/dd309...27-19-26-17.jpg,

Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this any better? I cant seem to find a way to add a third color in.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Personally I think you did a great job with this costume! Looks great.

If your looking to add another color in, I personally look for minor details to switch up. Like I would change the lesser colors on the Helmet, Shoulders, and Belt to be a dark, yet noticable shade of red, or a dark gold. (Not so dark it looks like a cheese... I am talking like maintaining the actual softness of gold type color)

Even changing the lesser details on the gloves and shoes to be a noticable color would be good. But, again, that is me... I usually have like 3-5 colors in a costume. Depending on the feel.

Robot_Apple - I have a character that fits this build nicely...

Also note that she does not require 44 triple D's to look seductive.

VERY good job on this one. I appreciate the pic =)

Can you also do a break down of how you selected the colors and such? Putting together specified sections inside the guide for each persons ideals. =)

  5. Yall got a little off track... =/

This is supposed to be a compilation of everyones "tips" on making a good looking character. So lets break this down a little... To make it easier, and allow for less... Flaming from the people who don't wish to give advice...

Breaking this down into a few categories -

    1. Female
    - Classic Brightly colored Heroine, How do I make a non-clashing babe?!
    - I wanna make a Dark and Mysterious Babe, without sacrificing too much in the visual appearance of the clothing itself... How would you put that together?
    - Bright! Techno! Robotic! Call it what you will! I call it... Tech Babe! How would you put together a beauty of the technology world that still maintains a well preserved, yet powerful prescence?

    2. Male
    - Hardcore, neckbreaking, tongue twisting action is all this hero needs! Give me some tips on creating a super detailed, and yet brutal guy toon that I feel compelled to play!
    - Classics, just bring in the old, and combine some new! Brightly colored Spandex is not all we have anymore!
    - Tech, or Science. You decide! I can't tell one from the other, and niether can your bud... Do I look like a lab rat? Or do I look like a high tech machine ripping into things? Bring on some tips on getting the desired effect!

    3. Huge
(ok by this point you get what I am going for.)

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't want to have to spend days sifting through all of your flaming each others ideas, reading your flames at other posters for their "sence of fashion". Post your own advice, and leave the other posters advice alone.

Pick one or pick all the topics. If you can throw in a screen shot to show an example of how your ideas on one subject, combine to work as one to make a sweet character!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Still working on my advice - Getting it well rounded and easy to understand =D

*Edit*- Note that this is all to put together a "Guide" to help those that need a little boost in the costume design area.
  6. Give me like a little bit, I am working on a really cool costume for my V-8 Fusion Apple.

    =D

  7. Ok, over in the Brute forums a kind of flame war has started over costumes. (Which is a pity because Turbo is giving fantastic advice.) So I figured I would gather the collective knowledge of the Art Forums, and create a guide that will help all players design good character costumes, and maybe a great backgrounder!

I will finish typing up my little part, and see what you all think of it as well, but in the mean time, add your advice and I will start this guide to help the "Creatively Challenged" peeps that want to make some Bad-A toons!

    ~Apple~
  8. Ok... I have been trying to figure out a good way to arange all the characters on the image... went through about 9 different ideas and finally chose one! It will be a while still until it is finished... I have to make it look good =D

  9. Well that was awesome looking!

    Although totally NSFW.

  10. Hey everyone! I have been on the boards for a long time (Obviously), and have been drawing for a long time, but recently I have been hitting a road block in character ideas and such. So I come to yall to ask if you want a new sketch of your character so I can get some more practice in using references?!

If so, just do me this-

Post your character images in your favorite costume, with multiple angles shown.

Post your characters bio so I can get the feel for how he/she/it would look during some fights or just chillin' around town.

Thanx! I look forward to doing some work for yall! =D

Ummm... this is the same exact thread that is currently entitled "First try at a STF guide! (Beta version)". It hasn't been updated, so, it's still a beta version. I searched under your name and didn't find a new thread on this topic.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Woops... Nice catch man. I am still working on the Live Version 1, since i9 came out yesterday. I haven't had the chance to run the STF yet. I will update the link when it is revised.

    ~Relen~
  13. I am gonna try something totally insane later this week/weekend... I am gonna get a team of 7 scrappers and 1 kin to do the STF later... (Hopefully all from my SG that can fit in the 2 powers that would help us all with a respec)... See how well we go through these missions - and if we can finish it... Might not work - But it is a test! MUAHAHA! :evil grin:

I feel evil lately... I might have to start leveling my Necro/Dark MM again...

    P.S.
Just realized that the last post might sound like a diss to Flying... NOT the case! I have the utmost respect for him, I just posted after him because he had a similarily built team that I had last night... But that failed because they took forever, and tried to pull.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
My last group had 3x Tactics, 1x Earth Control, 1x Rad Emission, and 1x Empathy for Fortitude. I believe we also dropped 2x Shivans when Mako fired Elude. I wasn't having significant trouble hitting him, but I don't recall if I had Fort or not.

    [/ QUOTE ]

*looks around* WOOT! Flying got it down! combination of buffs and debuffs ftw! (Not like he didn't understand that... just teams never built right, and or didn't do their jobs?)

I tried to run it yesterday, this time as not lead... We got to the final mission. We had a team of panzies that had not spent any time reading these forums... They all went and got shivans (Which was smart I guess), then they came back, and instead of buffing... They summoned shivans and then fought over how to do the pull... Shivans died and we still didn't get a single AV to us.. So - I did the stupid thing - I told them all to buff me to the hilt, I sent in my only friend on the team to die, and had them TP him back for 4+ Stacked Veng... I ran with my shivan all the way to the AV's and pulled them all back to the group and lmao as they screamed in terror! They spent 30 minutes yelling at each other when us melee freaks (There were 3 scrappers, and 1 tanker) were starting to go stir-crazy...

Me and the 2 other scraps and the tanker took on Scirroco though, got him to die, and then we bailed fast to watch the arguing buffers get their butts handed to them by GW/Mako/BS

Point of the story - Pulling sucks. Buffs and Debuffs have to work together. (Mainly buffs to survive better). Team has to know [censored] they are doing.

    ~Relen~
Life's absurd events deserve absurd reactions.

    P.S.
That was a little bit of a rant, because of the craptastic team I had last night, but I did enjoy pulling all the AV's with all those buffs on me.... Just saying...

Pretty sure Arcanaville is responsible for the testing of those numbers.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I believe thats correct; I'd also seen those values, which is why I was comparing a medium yellow (18.75%) to triple slotted defender Tactics (~20%).

    And purples, which I know he tested (I think he used the demon spawning Infernal alter to get a statistically significant number of attacks in a short time) are actually;

    DEF
    S - 12.5%
    M - 25%
    L - 33%

    [/ QUOTE ]
Hm. So a small yellow doesn't completely annihilate my SR's 30% defense.
    But two or three do...

Mako and his Elude - Buffed up Acc, and Damage output easily takes over.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    "Easily", eh?
I've run one STF so far.
We pulled Black Scorpion. He eventually went down.
    We pulled Mako.
Hit him with rad infection. I was on a scrapper that had Focused Accuracy. Had an emp buffing me with fort (possibly PBUd). Hit him with a chem nuke. Had 3 shivans out at one point.
We. Could. Not. Hit. Him. In. Elude.
I didn't hit him more than the 5%*+66% acc = 8.3% floor WITH BUILD UP, FA, FORT, AND RAD INFECTION ON HIM.
Elude went down, we hit him reasonably well. Got him down to about 20% health or so, again. With three shivans (we even tried hitting the shivans with Fort). He popped elude again. Nothing hit him, ever.
Rinse, repeat. Went to Warburg for some more nukes. Two people DCd, one was a jerk. Disbanded.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Obviously your team experience wasn't the same as mine. Every time since my first finished STF, we have enough accuracy and accuracy buffs that it doesn't matter if he pops elude, or not. IO's also help alot in this instance.

Next time get some Basic Acc IOs slotted, (3 will put you over 100% acc) and make sure you have Tactics and some other acc buffs.

I can see why you had an easy run. You had plenty of buffs and debuffs to go around. Plus the Shivans. Plus fighting by the boat probably gave you Longbow support too. But good job though.

Ideally I wish we could complete the STF(and RSF)with any team makeup and not relying on Shivans or Nukes.

Regarding the STF, there are 3 things that need to be looked at:

<ul type="square">[*]Ghost Widow's self heal. Unless you have a sufficient way to keep it from hitting, you're screwed. May as well be punching a brick wall. Do away with it. She's already hard enough as is, plus the high regen rate of AVs. A self heal on top of that is just overkill.[*]Mako's Super Elude. This is just nuts. He can use it as often as he wants and never suffers a penalty for it. Mako is just frustration incarnate, causing STF runs to be given up on due to just him. Again, do away with it, or at the very least drastically increase the recharge time on it. And he's a Stalker? More like a SR Brute if you ask me.[*]Lord Recluse's Buff Towers. Not a huge fan of the whole "gimmick" here that's sometimes used in video games of 'Destroy these so you can damage the boss, and keep destroying them if they get healed/fixed'. I know the idea is to keep the repairmen away from them, but inevitably one will slip thru, and due to how much damage it takes to destroy one, people could get downright severely frustrated by having to pound on them all over again. And in that time Recluse could regen right back to full health, adding further frustration. Also, who really wants to get stuck clearing the repairmen while the rest of the team is fighting Lord Recluse? Lose the repairmen entirely, or reduce how often LR can summon them, or make the Towers easier to destroy. As it is, the Towers are like fighting a lower level AV that doesn't fight back.[/list]
    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't see how the complaints are truly valid... Unless your on a Pulling team. Ever since I started running the STF my way, using the Zerg Rush, and Shivans, with buffs... These complaints are truly not a problem.

Mako and his Elude - Buffed up Acc, and Damage output easily takes over.

Ghost Widow and her Self heal- Ok, maybe a problem if they up that recharge rate from whatever it is now to like under a minute. Still she goes down without much trouble during a Zerg Rush.

Towers- What is the problem? They don't fight back. Sure it takes a while to fight, but who really cares? With a little bit of good tanking, and a good healer, Lord Recluse won't come after you, and as long as you have AoE's repairmen aren't a problem. Even if 1 does slip through and goes after a destroyed tower, your team should be aware enough to take it out while it is in the process. If they heal the tower your on, it isnt that big of a deal. Just keep bashing away.

Anyway - I still don't understand your complaints about GW and Mako... The 2 AV's are easily dealt with as long as your team is a well balanced team. 1 rad should be enough to make Mako, along with a few +acc buffs from Tactics or Emps to hit him constantly and kill him. GW is just about damage output. Same with the Towers.

  19. Statesman Task Force Guide! V-1 (Beta)

Well, as you all know, issue 9 is bringing some great content along, as well as IO’s. The biggest piece of content coming is the STF (Statesman Task Force). And thanks to the Devs it is nothing but a total blast! Allowing for many different team make-ups to work on this, unlike the RSF (Recluse Strike Force), which is fun, but requires a significant force of Corrupters and Brutes. So here is my guide, after completing the STF multiple times with all sorts of different teams.

    First is the team make-up-

Many on the STF will proclaim that Rads and Darks are needed over all the other sets. This is NOT true. For example, I ran my first completed STF with a team of buffers-

    Spines/Regen Scrapper
    Claws/Regen Scrapper
    Sonic/Sonic Defender
    Emp/Rad Defender
    FF/Rad Defender
    Emp/Energy Defender
    Stone/EM Tanker
    Fire/Kin Controller

Now- Let me point out the synergies of the teams make-up.

Both the Sonic and Force Field Defenders complimented each other greatly. Giving the entire team the ability to either avoid getting hit, and resisting incoming damage after being hit. This made for an amazing combo when fighting all the AV’s, making us an unstoppable team. Added with the Defense from the Bubbles was of course Fortitude from the empaths, as well as the other buffs for regen/recovery that they offer. Our Kinetic Controller added the needed damage for me and the other Scrapper on the team. As well as the recharge ability to keep on ticking away at the health of the AV’s as the fights went on.

So far we covered the buffing part of the team. Lets cover the Offensive part-

Claws/Regen Scrapper, and a Spines/Regen scrapper have about the same ability to survive as the other, and with the buffs we got, we were almost as good as a granite tanker. Both Claws, and Spines, do about the same damage out put in lethal damage, spines just adds a little extra tick or two to just beat Claws. Over all we had an extremely constant stream of damage flowing against all the AV’s, and Mobs. And the Stone tanker with all the same buffs was able to grab, and hold the agro from all the AV’s – even in the final mission.

Here is what a team would look like now since you can’t get the exact make-up I had-

    Scrapper
    Blaster
    Tanker (Preferred Stone or Invul)
    Defender with Buffs
    Defender with Buffs
    Blaster
    Controller with Buffs
    Defender with Debuffs

Now we all know that debuffs aren’t NEEDED, but they are nice to have. Note that I don’t say which debuffs are needed yet. This is because for each AV a different set of debuffs is a good idea, but over all the best Idea is a –resistance debuff. Sonic or Rad is a good one. Having the sonic use its toggle resistance debuff on the tanker is awesome for the whole STF.

Basic make-up of the ideal team synergy-

The tanker (Stone or Invul) is needed on the team regardless of the make-up. Of course they are needed for taking agro of AV’s, as well as basic mobs. Stone is preferred simply because it has the highest resistance/defence of all the sets. This of course means a Kinetic Defender or Controller is needed. Following that are the damage dealers. The Scrapper and the 2 Blasters, hopefully these aren’t built around PvP, and have AoE’s for the final mission on the Towers.

Scrapper is chosen for 1 reason- Criticals are extremely nice against AV’s and they survive easier than the Blasters do. If you have a team of straight up blasters and they die, the DPS is dropped and the whole thing is over. But if 2 blasters drop, and the scrapper is still alive, you can allow time to rez the dead Blasters and Vengeance off them. Keeping some of the DPS rolling with some drop.

Blasters are chosen because of multiple reasons- 1 is that Blasters have a higher damage cap than Scrappers. This is great if you have a Kinetic with you to boost their damage, as well as the blasters using BU + AIM. Add in extra Assualts and Tactics from each of the team mates and they are doing upwards of 450+ dmg with each hit. 2 is because of the AoE’s the blasters bring to the table. For the final mission, at the towers just before Recluse you have to use AoE’s to take out Repairmen before they fix the towers you have damage/destroyed. Fire/Fire blasters are great for this, or Anything with a /Fire secondary, for the Toggle PBAoE dmg.

Defenders with Buffs are chosen for 2 reasons- Buffs add a HUGE amount of survival to the team, whether it be just empathy buffs to just Sonic buffs, or a mix of all the buffs it is a smarter idea than to have all radiation defenders or controllers on the team. 2nd is that with buffs you can increase your accuracy and damage (Assualt/Tactics/Fortitude) or your defense/resistance to just about everything (Force Field and Sonic Resonance Buffs).

Defenders with Debuffs are chosen for 1 reason- Debuffs are good, but not as good as having a lot of buffs. Debuffs are used mainly for –defense, -resistance, and –accuracy. I don’t mention –regen because of the recent buff to AV’s regarding –regen. (It is now resistable.) While the other debuffs are now more effective. I.E. –Resistance/Defense/Acc/Dam.

Controller with buffs is chosen for 2 reasons as well- Control is easily tossed aside in a fight with an AV, thanks to the PtoD, but the pets, (Imps, Phantasm, Sing, Jack, and Poop Soldier) are a decent addition to the team for damage/control abilities (I.E. Sing). The buffs are great on the team again for added ease. I like having another Empath as the controller. (Just helps to have another Fortitude)

Over all your looking at a really decent, fast pace, killing machine that steam rolls through all the AV’s.

Now for the second setup for a team-

    Radiation Def/Controller
    Radiation Def/Controller
    Radiation Def/Controller
    Stone Tanker
    Scrapper/Blaster
    Scrapper/Blaster
    Scrapper/Blaster
    Kinetic Def/Controller

Easy team to assemble, and a high amount of damage. Less balance, and few abilities to add in other players for a great mix of playing.

Radiation- debuffs stack easily coming from different sources. The –resistance/-defense/-dmg/-acc debuffs from radiation is great, but if you kill the anchor you have to wait for the debuffs to recharge, leaving gaps in the time where they AV’s can, and can’t hit you. Toggling the debuffs on the last AV you fight in the final mission is probably the better Idea. (I.E. Black Scorpion). AM is also great when stacked for increasing your damage output. 5% per AM.

Stone tanker - is for the Highest Resistance/Defense and taking on the AV’s as you fight easily. Not hard to find a stoner.

Blasters or Scrappers – Damage output is high with either. Just gets higher with the – resistance debuffs.

Kinetic Def/Controller – SB the tanker, and add ANOTHER boost to damage.

Over all it is an easy team to setup, just requires more pickiness than the original build.

Now – Extra setup for teams (outside of the team make-up)-

Many like to have Shivans (Elite Boss pets from doing a mission from the scientist in Bloody Bay. 5 summons per Shivan Shard.) I personally like to make sure the team has at least 3 shivans on the team for the Inner Circle of AV’s (Ghost Widow, Scirroco, Capt’n Mako, and Black Scropion.) They do Energy damage, and have a large –defense built into each attack. These are great for teams that lack Assualt/Tactics on the team.

Some like to have Nukes from Warburg. You must gain access to codes to unlock a “Rocket” or “Nuke” from 3 different scientists you must rescue and deliver to their labs. After gaining 3 codes you may choose from 3 different types of “Nukes” – Chemical Burn, Biochemical, and Nuclear. Chem Burn is a –resistance/-dmg, Biochem is a +regen/+dmg for you and your team mates, and Nuclear is a –end and high dmg. Preferred is the –resistance/-dmg and the +dmg/+regen nukes.

Ok- Now you have everything you need to get started and run the STF and complete it! Right? Wrong! You and your team should make sure you have Inspirations, I like the combination of 5 yellows, and 15 purples. Helps when you don’t have 3+ Tactics running on the team… (Yellows, aka Insights.)

    Now you are ready!

Alright! Start the STF already! I am getting ants in my pants!!!!

First mission- Destroy Cables (Not exactly sure what the real name of the mish is, but it is the objective anyway)

Enter the mission through a submarine near Statesman, to enter what the Villains call “The Fab”, and destroy the cables they are producing for Lord Recluses giant web! In this mission, it is probably easier to split up the damage dealers and send them to the web cables to destroy them fast. (I think it is around 40 cables that need to be destroyed). After destroying the cables, you will be sent to a cut scene of Arbiter Sands talking about coffee, and all that garbage about his schedule.. Blah blah blah… Run up to where you entered the mission and you will see a huge mob of Arachnos soldiers waiting for you by a Flier. Buff up the team (Or if you’re the non-buffing team send the tank in first), then send the tanker in. Follow up with AoE’s/Cones to get rid of the extra mobs around Arbiter Sands (lvl 49 AV, he summons extra drones like he is a Mastermind or something). Then focus on the AV, to take him out fast. Exit mission before the ambushes get to you.

    Second mission- Capture Dr. Aeon

This time the mission is in Peregine Island through one of the Portals in Portal Corp. Move forward once entering the mission to a 4 way spot with a lab door in front of you, then turn to the right and move forward to activate a cut scene of Dr. Aeon acting like a coward and running away through a portal to the Future. After the cut scene follow him into the portal, and you will appear in another lab. Again move forward to activate ANOTHER cut scene, this time with Dr. Aeon lecturing you on how stupid you are for following him here, blah blah. He tells you how to escape, and how to get the codes. Next after the cut scene, run to the right, and turn left into another hall way. There will be some enemies there, just skip past them, and head to the elevator to their right. Once up the elevator you will be outside in the PvP zone of Recluses Victory (don’t worry you don’t PvP there, just fight 4 AV’s)

Jump over the fence, and target the AV Magus Mu Drakahn (Sp?). He will be in a mob near one of the turret points. Fight and Arrest him. Next turn towards what used to be a statue of Atlas, which is now a statue of Lord Recluse, and get over to where Ms. Liberty stands for the lowbies to train at, and target the AV there ( Can’t remember her name), be careful with this fight, she does all Psionic Damage. Defeat her, and turn to your right if you are facing the statue of Recluse. Run over to point bravo (I think it is that one) to fight Shadow Spider. She uses caltrops so she is kind of annoying, but an easy fight. Defeat her.

Then run around behind City Hall, and look down the stairs, there should be 2 mobs there. 1 without an AV in it, and one with the AV Viridian in it. Skip the mob without Viridian and take out him as fast as you can. Next you must exit the mission by finding the exit on your own. This is really easy – just leap to the right of City Hall until you see 2 giant banners hanging on a building, with Arachnos signs on it. Then just run to the portal exit, and you will complete the mission.

Third mission- Attack the Thorn Tree (The respec mission from CoV)

Ok – Head back to Independence Port, your next mission is there.

Leap into the submarine again, to be taken to the Rogue Isles in Nerva. Head straight when exiting the sub past a giant tree to a door. Enter the door, and have either you or one of your team mates with stealth/invis and recall run to the last room with the Thorn Tree is located. Once everyone is in that area, move around the outside of the room and take out the mobs of CoT. Next get in a good group and run around the tree destroying its vines that are attacking you. It is the only way that will allow you to attack the tree and do damage to it. Once all the vines are destroyed the vine counter (80 vines is what it starts at) you may attack the tree. It shouldn’t take too long to do this. Once the tree is destroyed, grab the Nexus at the center of the tree. It will give you a temporary power that is used for the fight with Dr. Aeon. Exit the mission.

Fourth mission- Capture Dr. Aeon (This mission is in Cap Au Diable)

Ok – Talk to Statesman and head back to the submarine for a trip to Cap Au Diable! Your gonna have to fight alot of Arachnos in this mission to gain access into Aeons lab. Only fight mobs that have a boss in it named “Security Chief?”, sometimes you get the key on the first try, sometimes you don’t get it til the final boss. All the bosses named “Security Chief?” are Bane Spider Executioners.

Head into Aeons lab, and get ready for an ambush. Take out the ambush and get ready for an assault on the first AV. It switches from Wretch and Silver Mantis every once and a while. Quickly defeat the AV, and move up on to the next floor. (Note: If you get Silver Mantis, watch her dialogue when you hurt her pretty badly. She is really funny). You will have to move up, and up fighting a different AV on each level. Silver Mantis, Wretch, Ice Mistral, and Barracuda. All easy fights. Then you face off against Dr. Aeon in his lab!

He is wearing his armor and has an impenetrable shield that you must use your temporary power you just got from the previous mission on him. This will make him Vulnerable. Beat on him till he falls! Do not pay attention to the Elite Bosses he summons. When you defeat one he will just replace it immediately after. Defeat him, and move onto the next mission.

(Note: For the fight with Aeon, you should clear the mobs around him and his lab to not grab extra agro from them. Also try to not agro him while you and your team are unprepared.)

Fifth mission- Stop Lord Recluse! (This mission takes place in Grandville)

Alright! You made it this far, but can you finish it?! Darn right you can!

Run up to the final mob along the walk way to the first set of AV’s (The patrons) and clear away all the Arachnos soldiers there. Here is where everyone kinda argues about. I like Zerg Rushing, with buffs or with all debuffs. This is how it works for Zerging with all Debuffs-

Summon Shivans, and send tanker into the group of AV’s to gather them into Melee range. The Debuffs fly onto Black Scorpion first (He isn’t moving and you fight him last). The Shivans and Scrappers run in and start to do some insane damage, focusing on ONLY Ghost Widow (The players, not the shivans… Stupid non-controlled pets!). Make sure she dies first! Now with the way she is now, she heals after reaching 1/8th HP, no big deal, just beat on her again. She won’t heal again for the remainder of the fight. (She just misses a lot). Take her out, then go onto Capt’n Mako. This is where you usually freak out on a team with low accuracy and little to no Tactics running on the team. He SHOULD be easy considering he is just defense and your team should be built right. Take him out, follow up with Scirrico, he is the easiest of the 4 AV’s and goes down FAST. Next is our old buddy Black Scorpion, who debuffed his pals for us! (Toggle radiation debuffs). Take him out fast, he doesn’t pop a God Mode or anything so he just dies fast.

Now that that is all over… What next, you ask? Well the flier! Look up into the sky and you will see our good friend the flier looking on. Use whatever you can to floor that thing to the ground and beat it to a pulp. Then move on up to the preperation for the fight with the Towers and Lord Recluse!

Here is where things get complicated. If you don’t have a stoner or Invul, your gonna be in trouble here. You will also WANT an empathy for this plan. Have the Stone tanker and Empath run up to Recluse and taunt him, the Emp will make sure the tanker stays alive the entire time keeping the AV away from the tower team.

The Dmg dealers, and rads should head over to the red tower first. (Upper right hand corner tower) and take that out, lowering the damage being dealt to the tanker to make the emps job easier. Next is the Yellow Tower (Lower left hand corner). Destroy that to lower Recluses Accuracy. Then move to the Green tower (Upper Left hand corner). Destroy that to lower his regeneration rate. And then onto the Blue Tower (Lower right hand corner). Take that out to lower endurance recovery (Yeah like he even NEEDS that with 1 billion endurance points! =( )

After the Towers are taken down focus on LR. Put debuffs on him, and summon shivans. (if you’re a buff heavy team just buff up the team to max, and watch how fast LR dies!) Beat on him for a short while and you will win! CONGRATS YOU BEAT THE STF!

(Note: The towers, when they reach about half will spawn “Repairmen”. They are level 45, deep gray arachnos that ONLY heal the towers. Use AoE’s constantly on the towers to get rid of them fast. They WILL heal the tower about 1/4th per repairman. They spawn in groups of 2-3 at a time.)

Well there you have it all!

(This is my first guide ever so, critique nicely, with constructive comments please! Thanks!)

P.S. - I didn't really know where to post this so I posted it here, since it is in the testing stages.

    I have a humiliating question.

What is this Dr. Aeon temp power I keep seeing mentioned? What does it do?

I don't think I've been the recipient of the temp power either time I've run the STF, but I'm not sure I'd have known if I had been. I used the same character on both runs, and all three of that character's power trays are completely full.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You get the power from clicking the tree of thorns or whatever. After you beat it... Following that, when you face Aeon it is the only thing that will lower his untouchable status, and make him vulnerable. The only way you can kill him.

As long as you don't send the repair men the wrong way, like I did!

True Dat dawg. But hey, it wasn't entirely your fault... We didn't pay attention til we got the tower we killed restored...

  22. The reason I won't run the STF without shivans, even on a buff heavy team - is because the use of them makes it easier to take on a group of 4 AV's. On the team when I first completed the STF - I wasn't touched ... Ever. I was buffed up so much that the AV's never hit me, the tanker and the rest of us were all laughing because we were surviving so well. We added in the shivans because we thought it would be funny to watch. It in fact was funny. We had the shivans buffed up just like the rest of us, and with 4 assualts, + Fulcrum on them we just had fun looking at the HUGE DoT flying out from the shivans.

Shivans just make it easier. Teams that lack buffs would totally make great use of the shivans just because of the extra damage they provide.

Now - As to whether or not they are NEEDED? No - But it makes things go faster. And by the time we reach the final mish we just wanna be done. So that is why I don't run the STF without shivans ever.

  23. That is very true... The respawn rate of the repairmen is very fast. As far as I can tell it is consistant with how fast you damage the Tower itself. Many times if we gave up on a tower to take care of the flier we would not have to worry about the repairment spawning... *Shrug*

As for the trip mines... The strategy of pulling would work well with the mines if you had 2 kins, and hasten on the /dev blaster... Pull the AV's onto a truck load of Trip Mines.

Unfortunately for /Dev blasters - I don't pull on my teams. We Zerg Rush, no questions asked. If the team only has 1 person with shivans - I don't select the final mission til EVERYONE has gone to BB and gotten shivans.

We on 1 run had an AR/Elec Blaster that instead of going to BB went to WB solo and got nukes in the time that it took us all to get shivans. He got the -res and the buff nukes.

Anyway... /Dev blasters would be great for the teams that pull. Not for Zerg Rush teams like the ones I lead.

  24. I have not brought a /Dev on the STF as of yet - I am willing to do that soon, and try your strategy. Although, the trip mines would be better suited around the towers we are taking down at the time. 1 for damage, and 2 to take out the repairmen as they spawn.
