The menu's not written in stone. It's based off what those who had preferences indicated at the cut-off time that I had set. Some of these items were included because 1 vote beats 0 votes. Obviously not true with regard to desserts, but the point is, stating a preference beats out silence & indifference. -

In the other thread, I joked about it & made indirect mention about it, but I figure I ought to spell it out. The point of me organizing the "Justice" Dinner is for the companionship and camaraderie of fellow players. Not just for me, but for all of you as well. And that's why I don't want cost to be a consideration when you decide if you're going to join us or not. (And I'm pleased to saythat I'm not the only one!)
The primary question in your mind should be "Do I want to spend time schmoozing around with those nut-jobs from Justice?" If the answer's yes, then let me know somehow so I can make sure there's a seat set aside for you!
In deference to those who need to know what their fair-share of the cost will be, the Supremo menu which we used as the basis for our Friday feast runs $27.95/person not including tax or tip. I provide this information only for the purposes of easing the minds of those that NEED to know. While it might be a perfectly Justice thing to do, to drive you nuts by withholding the information, I feel that it's not worth it if it hampers your ability to enjoy the festivities or worse yet, keeps you away.

I followed up on my online reservation submission with a call today & found out their online reservation system doesn't always work...
The good news is that I was able to talk to someone & get a reservation made for 40 people! That's a few more than have made specific requests & my alt list.
We're booked for Friday, October 23, at 5:30pm. (Changed 10/05/09)
The coordinator will contact me about 48 hours before the event for a final head-count, so please let me know before then if you won't be able to make it.
Based on the input I received, this is what we'll be getting from the $27.95/person Supremo menu:
Fried Calamari
Apple Gorgonzola Salad (I figured it couldn't hurt to ask, so I did.)
Spaghetti w Meatballs
Lasagna
Chicken Parmigiana
Cheesecake
"Endless" soft drinks, coffee & tea
Seperate tabs for alcohol & extra dishes.
Ok, I think what's left is to figure out how we're getting there! I know TJ's got a number of confirmed rides & I think has a spot or two for more. I've committed to giving Ronnoc & BaconLordBob a ride & have space for 1 more. Anyone who's concerned about how they'll get there should speak up & we'll see what we can do about getting you a ride.
And that's all I could fit into my brain at this time. Anyone noticing anything important missing from the plan should feel free to point it out. -

Here's a heads up notice!
I submitted an online reservation request for about 40 people at 6pm on Friday, October 23. edit 10/05/09 --> changed to 5:30pm
I pushed it back to 6pm to give folks who wanted to pick up their badges on Friday & the folks going to the Star Trek exhibit at the Tech Museum a bit more time.
I suppose I could have had more initiative & called them to make the reservation & made sure we got the date for that many people, but this was easier & gives me more time to look over the menu choices... -

Thus far, I've been specifically told 31 people plan to attend. Others have said they're up for it but didn't specifically say so in the other thread. As I mentioned before, Buca di Beppo appears to want a larger head-count that might be whittled down as the date approaches rather than get larger. Given this, I'll try to contact people & get "commitments" from them. However, I'm likely to have missed or forgotten expressions of interest, so go ahead & post here so I'll know to count you.
Below, you'll find my tally of menu items from those who have indicated a specific interest. Since most of the items can be found on the Supremo menu, that's what I'm planning on setting up unless I hear an outpouring of opposition. Given this, the expected cost per person is $27.95 + any extras you order & tip.
