  1. Thank you for the advice! After getting to level 50 and playing around with some of these powers I ended up deciding I didn't particularly care for the pet powers so much. Especially since I read that in the Incarnate stuff they tend to die fairly easily.

    For my little group of friends I tend to be our 'tank' (Myself, an Ice/Storm Controller, and a Fire/Rad Corruptor) so I've always focused first on capping my defenses. So the below build is me completly capping my defense to all 3 positions plus extra for wiggle room.

    While I am able to get some of the pricier recipies now (yay for purple recipie drops!) I still can't afford any full purple sets on my own by a longshot. I just started on my incarnate stuff and think I'll be using one of two alpha slots: When I can't play with my Fire/Rad corr partner for AM, use the Cardiac to help my endurance issues. When she is there, I"ll use a version of the Nerve Radial alpha for the extra accuracy and more importantly the extra defense.

  2. Oh I totally forgot about Rikti drones... I am indeed having problems with those. I totally forgot they had higher than normal perception. Whoops! That must be what is doing me in. Thank goodness... I've always enjoyed Plant and would have been sad if I couldn't solo anymore.
  3. I recently came back to the game, and have been playing as my SoA and a Brute. I decided I wanted to pick my Plant/Ice dom back up tonight though, and have been trying to solo tip missions.

    However, I'm constantly dying with the difficulty turned slightly (+0 / x3) up. I run in stealthed and with Super speed like I did in the past. Pick a good target and fire seeds off to get the whole pack.

    In the past, they would all start going to town on each other while I merrily melted them with various ice goodies. However I'm finding that they all shoot me and THEN turn on each other. So I'm soaking up a large alpha with my tiny HP pool, usually killing me (or getting close, in which case any random mob not hit by the confuse does me in).

    Am I doing something wrong? Or was there a change where you no longer can use control to negate/reduce the alpha strike? Am I doomed to +0/x0 missions on my dom?
  4. I also have a question about the chance for damage proc abilities. Do they only have a chance to proc off of an activation? or doing damage? I put Touch of Lady Grey in my Longfang ability (the proc one) and it only ever seems to proc off the first tic of the power. For some reason I thought it would proc off any tic. IF it's only off the activation, I guess it's not going to be as cool as I thought it would be.
  5. I have recently returned to the game, and found I could play as a VEAT. So I've been doing research and playing a Crab SoA... and loving it.

    I got lucky and got a purple recipie during a Praetoria invasion, which I was able to sell for about 350 million (after a loan to cover the posting price lol). So I have a decent amount of infamy, but I'm far from rich.

    Anyway. I was hoping for some advice on this build... some of the more expensive pieces (Luck of the Gambler recharge thingie, miracle +endurance) I plan on trying to get with Villain Merits, as I don't have the infamy to buy them. Everything else seems generally within my price range.

    Anyway! Sorry for the novel, but any advice would be most welcome. Hopefully I don't screw up this export...
