Quote:I think this part may be the key since you plan to team alot. Mind doesn't have the immobilize and since fire and thorns do good aoe, brutes like immobs if they have aoe's and sounds like your other teammate will also have aoe's it would seem that the AOE immobilize would be the way to go. If that teammate is also a dom, then locking down AV's should not be overly difficult.I'd say Mind/ but I'll also admit to heavy bias. (I like Mind. A lot.) The only issue I've had (so far) with my (admittedly lowbie) Mind/Thorn - who should be getting more play, moved him to another server I'm on more - is Fling thorns when it comes to the fear. But even then, (a) you've done damage twice and (b) they re-fear. The only other one to worry about is Mass Hyposis - yeah, I do take it.
Mind's biggest plusses (to me) for what you're aiming for *are* the sleeps (ST and AOE,) I'd think. But as youv'e said - you don't know what anyone else is bringing. And if someone else does roll a plant, with Mind you'll have easily confused bosses early on even outside of Domination.
With fire, of cousre - as you yourself mentioned - you'll have plenty of damage, and no sleeps or fears to worry about breaking. And Fire will almost insist you're in the middle of the action. If you're comfortable there (and, really, as a dom... why aren't you?) all I can say is "Melting faces is fun."
Fire's also probably the only set I plan, right off the bat, to take the AOE Immob on when it comes to doms. (I tend to always take it on controllers, regardless, but most of my doms stick with the ST immob, hold, and whatever other tricks fit the assault set.) (Actually, make that fire and plant, to keep everyone in seedss/AOE damage range intead of wandering off to shoot someone else.)
I, *personally,* would lean toward mind - but as I said, I'm really biased there.
The only reason I could see for taking mind is if you think you will have to be the only one locking down the AV.
All that said I prefer Mind because I solo so much, and I like the extra controls that mind has. I think your teammates could have a lot to do with which you choose and as you are familiar with both sets, I think you will be able to make either work well as they are clearly 2 of the top 3 dominator primaries. -
Sorry just not used to it, when playing brutes I don't often experience any issues til level 16, and then it is just endurance issues til getting stamina or QR on a willpower brute. I have not played much blue side, almost exclusively a villian. The AT's on the blue side are just foreign to me. I have no troubles in the pre teen levels with any AT red side, save for dominators that aren't mind primaries. And I have a faceplanting problem every time I play blue side. Part of the issue is I solo alot and team very little, and it appears to me that the red side AT's are better suited to soloing than the blue side.

So I went with katana/regen. Now my question after leveling to level 9. Is regen really this squishy. I can't tell you how many times I was faceplanting against 3 +1 minions and sometimes against 3 even con minions. I could understand it if it were a lt. and minions or a boss, but really 3 even con minions. Tell me it will get better and soon.

I have never played a hero past level 16, and no scrapper past 8.
I am a dark sider, but I have a concept that is heroic and could fit either Katana or Broad Sword, would most likely combine it with regen/SR/or WP in that order.
I am familiar with the secondaries due to playing brutes, but katana and broad sword are only available on stalkers and well they are a different beast altogether from scrappers. So I just would like to know how the two sets play, what are the strengths and weaknesses, and how would the synergize with the secondaries I have selected.
Thanks in advance for any input. Oh not looking to pvp just pve. -
Also to get the 100hp/sec requires a soaked RttC. When running mids increase the number of enemies on Rise to the Challenge to the limit. Then check your hp/sec guessing that will get you close to the 100/sec range.

I've only got one due to altitis:
Shadow Minister- Dark/WP/Soul -
Thanks, that is what I thought, the details about the power and description are just muddy. As you might have guessed this is my first real attempt at creating a stalker.

Does the AOE defense in hide suppress when you attack. The power as listed in the game makes it kind of difficult to tell. I suspect it does but would like some confirmation.
Thanks
