  1. Why have I never seen this thread before??? You, sir, are a genius.

I will hug it and squeeze it and name the Big red Ball George.
  2. So, what's the status on this guys? Details!
  3. [ QUOTE ]
Works fine in PvE and that's all that matters to me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Not exactly...

Longbow still bounced me around some. It did work occasionally. You know... when I didn't move.
  4. Sub-par damage is an understatement. This set sucks, big time. Let's be honest here... it has horrible damage in PvE and PvP. I had WAY too much difficulty bringing down a group of TWO even level LTs in Grandville for crying out loud.
It does average damage with full fury and three Dmg SOs. That's ridiculous. Even Lightning Rod ... which is listed as "Superior" damage, is a huge let down. Maybe they meant Mother Superior?

It figures. The only set I really wanted to play too. I think I'll pass. This set is just beyond weak. What a waste.
  5. Was anyone ever able to verify if Power Surge has Repel protection? I couldn't get anyone to help me test it.

However, I made a Mind/FF Controller for kicks and put TK and Force Bubble oon a PSing Elec Brute and the dude kept coming... makes me think it does, but I can't be sure he wasn't buffed.
  6. Energy Absorption drains about 35% End in PvP with three +3 End Mods.

Blaster Power Sink does about the same. Even more with Power Boost.

The Defender APP version does about 35-40% IIRC.

Brute Power Sink does about 40-45% from what I've seen. It's not 50%. It might be a tad too much, but this 'is' what Electric Armor's secondary damage mitigation is: Endurance Modification. If it does get changed, it shouldn't be by very much.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
Also permafrost is the power that resists slow not EA - unlike what birdbird said

    [/ QUOTE ]

negative. Energy Absorption does provide Slow Resistance. So does Wet Ice and Permafrost. The slow protection given by Permafrost alone is barely noticeable.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
Oh, look at my sig, guess what I plan on doing with my Blaster. Bring your Blues.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Guess what I have been doing with my Blaster
It works pretty well... assuming you can survive long enought o get the combo off. Due to the animation times of both SC and PS, it's hard to get both off and not get creamed in the process. Not many people fall for this once they catch on. At least not from a Blaster.
  9. I think the concept is kinda cool, honestly. I planned to go Fly/SS on my Brute. This change allows me to do that without cursing myself for not taking Superjump... again.

has anyone actually tested the Slow resist from Lightning Reflexes? People keep claiming it as this massive plus, but no one has posted anything, AFAIK, about how good that slow resist actually is. We do have a precedent to compare it to: Permafrost is a passive with resist slow, but it sucks major donkey.

Unless something has recently changed, Invul does have Repel resistance. Test it sometime, you'll see.
The KB protection is not Repel protection. Otherwise everyone with Acrobatics would be able to resist it... and we all know that's not the case.

    [/ QUOTE ]

now that you mention it, cant say i've ever been thrown around by the power repel. might be a something they forgot to add to the txt of unyeilding

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Unstoppable has it too

I don't see Repel or Confuse resist in there. IIRC Invuln has both of those as well.

    [/ QUOTE ]

good poke kinda no res to confuse or repel on invuln eaither... thow no fear res eaither but all far from deadly holes others have outside maybe pvp

    [/ QUOTE ]

Invul has Repel resistance in Unyielding.

    [/ QUOTE ]

go look dont say repel thow suppose knockback is the same thing witch would mean Elec has it also

FYI: Electric Shields' Grounding Power will have Immobilize and Knockback Protection added. The set will still not have a Heal power or HP Buff power.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Great now since you gave in to whiner's here's mine. Buff Healing Flames to at least equal the 25% that is other sets and give Fire Armor and Dark Armor knockback protection.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Healing Flames is already being looked at for fixing.

Hell has frozen over, ProcessedMeatMan isn't being a jerk to the devs all of a sudden

Hey! When am I ever a jerk to the Devs?!

    does it resist confuse/fear?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Nope. Good point hehe
    Doesn't resist Repel either.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
/elec went from one of the sets with the most status protection holes to possibly the MOST status resistant set in a split second.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And that is it's biggest quality/draw now. This definitely warrants the lack of a heal or regen, IMO.
  19. I just realized that we not only got Immob and KB protection... but that we got passive Immob and KB protection!!!! That is so awesome.

    will it remain a passive?

well now we just all have to take aid self and hope our lack of defense lets it go off

    [/ QUOTE ]

Slot for interrupt reduction, and practice a bit. You will learn to use it between getting attacked without trouble.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    3 interrupts works wonders.

FYI, Lightning Rod's Recharge Time will be being reduced.

I take back my previous post. Thanks so much for listening to and taking action on some of our concerns.

There's a part of me that not only feels listened to, but taken seriously as well. If you weren't a dude, I'd kiss you.

To all the naysayers: Nothing. I knew you were wrong to being with
  23. [ QUOTE ]
Is this right? Is this good? Heck no... but you basically have to adapt or look elsewhere for your armor set.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Which basically means skipping other powers that are actually in the set. I don't care if Fire or DA have these issues. I already have a Fire tank and a DA scrapper. I'm not all that enthused about playing another Jumping Pool monkey. yes yes yes, I don't "have" to play it. blah blah blah. I suppose that's an acceptable answer to someone that hasn't been wishing for this set since Day One of CoH.
