  1. Hi all!

I recently joined a SG which I must say has turned out to be a great experience all the way around. I've been in another pretty large SG and I've run one of my own for a while, so I've got some experience to back this up.

The group is Paragon Lantern Corps, a GL-tribute group. The group contains all archetypes and you don't have to have a GL costume to join. We have all sorts of builds and costumes running around. The SG colors are green and black, so we ALL look good when we're out in public together. Even though it's not that large it's a pretty active group. AND, it's growing. It's much more for the casual player as I don't think we have many high levels in the Corps. We're more than happy to help new players along, however. So, if you want to start a new character we'll have others around for you to group with.

If you're interested in the group, send an in-game email to me (Power Play) and I will forward your information to the leaders of the Corps.

We do like to live up to the ideals of the GL Corps, specifically Hal's "In brightest day... In blackest night..." oath. Of course, since we can do that whilst whuppin' up on the bad guys, that's all the better.

  2. Not meaning to fuel any fires, this is just my take on the idea of a "hero".

    A boss isn't an archvillain (Joker/Luthor/Magneto/et cetera).

Every hero in the comics can solo an archvillain and his attendants. This is usually a climactic battle which ends a storyline or special issue. It's tough but they do it.

Are our heroes truly "superheroes" or just guys in funny suits? Even at lower levels, fighting mobs of our own levels (+/- 2 or so), we should be able to use tactics and have a good chance to take out a Boss and his hangers-on.

This game -is- supposed to put us in the worlds of the comics, so I say let our characters be heroes and beat the bosses like baby seals. Yes, it should be a challenge. No, it shouldn't be impossible.

  3. /y Lvl 34 Science origin Energy/Energy Blaster LFG.

I have been in two SGs, the last one being one of my own creation. We got quite a few members then everyone seemingly went their separate ways or just quit playing. I would like to find a RP or RP-friendly SG where there are actually people ONLINE. I usually play late evenings/early mornings US Eastern time

I have a full-time job and family. I am NOT a power gamer. I do not l33t under ANY circumstances. I DO love teamwork and mission briefings rather than rushing headlong into things. I do love players with BRAINS, especially if said brains are used frequently.

If there are any SGs recruiting on Guardian that I might "fit" with and who could use another damage dealer, send me (Power Play) an ingame email or email me at socko60629@yahoo.com .
