When the trio entered the ballroom, they saw a large, lavish table spread out before them. At the other end was a girl of half asian descent flanked by two girls in waitress uniforms. One was rather tall, and built like a martial artist. The other was shorter and more slender, but was, strangely enough, clearly the more experience of the two.
The table was filled with food, and several men in suits -waiters- lined the sides of the walls. One person stuck out, though: a small girl barely five feet tall in a miko outfit and carrying a staff on her back.
"Welcome! Please have a seat!" Annette said cheerfully. -
The message on the note was simple, yet formal.
"Dear Sir,
I Humbly request your presence for dinner tonight at ballroom A-5, please feel free to bring two gladiators of your choice as a sign of good faith.
Signed,
Annette" -
Hyoumura Ryuji approached the room of Ryjuta, one of the Masters not participating in today's bout. With him, he carried an envelope containing and invitation to dinner. Ryjuta could bring one or two gladiators max...since it was just dinner.
He manifested an ice needle and stuck it to the door, knocking three times and leaving. -
(OOC: heh, he sounds like Raijuta from Rurouni Kenshin...sorta
Anyway yeah it works...i'd expect most of the masters to be older men, mine's an exception because i like being special ^_^ not to say having a teenage girl as a Master is against the rules of course. You could have a sentient carrot named Carrot Steve) -
(OOC: you're free to join but please create a master. Masters are people with no listed (and thus ZERO) powers of their own. The master is essentially you. If you want you can have an interaction with my Master and her fighters, given that they're not participating either as per the rules)

Asuka grumbled as he left, "Any witnesses are potential liabilities...I say we get her alone."
-
"I don't like the idea of witnesses..." Asuka said.
-
"First person I've seen turn down this stuff, guess you know about the little caveat involved?" Asuka smirked.
-
The Rikti's blast connected with Shinae's back. Fortunately for her, the limiter just meant she was hit with force of a baseball from a pitching machine. It still burned like hell though. Another shot like that and she'd be in the infirmary
-
Asuka saw the other fellow in the room run out of the room, seemingly on fire. That wasn't very odd, given he smelled of ash before he even entered the room.
Shrugging, she turned to Ruby and tossed him a vial.
"It's called Hyne's Blood, it's supposed to be able to kill a god. Since Ms. Liberty is a quarter god, being that Statesman is her grandfather and the incarnate of Zeus, a small drop should give the result we need." -
Shinae ran full bore at the Rikti, phased through him, and made another run at Burning.
-
The large battering ram didn't do much to the thralls of enemies, but it did keep the small band of oddballs safe from the shadows.
They made it back to the train station only to see the train they had taken there was currently under attack. -
(OOC: Sakabatou doesn't cut, it's a reversed blade katana with the edge on the inside. Non-lethal in otherwords. Though it does break bones)
Chertak would be alarmed to find he passed right through Shinae. -
(OOC: OK here it goes...for the sake of argument I'm giving Shinae a sakabatou AKA reverse blade sword.)
Shinae was able to phase through Burning Brawler's rain of fire, and sprinted towards him, beginning an overheard slash aiming for his shoulder. -
(OOC: LOL obviously...hmmm...just a sec...)
-
(OOC: I'm not gonna control Shinae because I'm not too clear on her capabilities...If shinji would PM me this stuff...)
-
"Ms. Liberty is a leader, leaders require paperwork. We don't need to cause a ruckus, we just need to generate paperwork," Asuka said, "Heroes are notoriously aggravated by paperwork."
-
"Well, it'd involve some work, but basically we need to keep her busy enough to where she doesn't return home. We wait til her guard is down, then have someone disguised as a longbow hand her some decaf coffee laced with a knock out drug," Asuka said, "I know a few that would work on her..."
-
"I said while she was sleeping, when did I say at her house?" Asuka grinned.

The Trio was dispatching shadows left and right, but it seemed that everytime one went 'poof', the remnant energy would be absorbed by the remaining shadows. Since there was already a constant flow of them from the eye, it meant things were looking grim.
Chihaya, ZeRO, and Sae stood together.
"\You both have protection abilities right?\" Sae yelled.
"Hai..." Chihaya said.
"\USE EM\!"
"Sacred Seal: Hundred Souls," Chihaya chanted. She released one hundred sealing talismans that formed a shield around the group.
"Ra function activated. Limited released. Activated Light of the Gods," came ZeRO's command line. From a slot in her back came an orb that emanated a bright light.
In addition, Sae called forth about one dozen 'pistols'.
This was a strong defensive position. Ryuji realized this and jumped behind the field.
Demons would 'poof' when they got too close, however the energy would still redisperse.
"We need to go to the train!" Sae yelled. -
"Now I'm to assume that killing Ms. Liberty would be bad...seeing as how we'd attract the ire of the entirety of Paragon City..." Asuka said, "I don't believe kidnapping would be necessary or practical...we should just nab it while she's sleeping."
-
The door wouldn't open.
The thugs disappeared in a light, the teleporters going off.
Each combatant received instruction:
Team 1:
Star Scout
Burning
Chertak
Team 2:
Shinae
Hallucinogen
(OOC: I counted five, if i'm wrong lemme know...i split them to 2 and 3, with hallucinogen counting as 2 basically because of phantasm) -
"The MAGI vault?! Aw come on...I've broken into that thing three times already..." Asuka said dejectedly, "Stealing something from Ms. Liberty, however...is somewhat LESS boring."
