Pirate Cashoo

Yup, I've been doing that with my pictures a lot nowadays. Including the zombie one. Usually I'll change the darkest color to a very, very dark value of a color that is already in the picture in attempt to "tie" it together more, or I'll use a color that contrasts against the main color of the picture. I do this in the 'Curves' adjustment in Photoshop. I personally like it more than boring old black. However, I do leave it black in some pictures if I find it looks better that way.
In Mel's case, I was so glad her eyes were green against her firey colors theme, since green and red are complimentary colors and it really stands out.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot! I think that's SO cool of you to do that for him! He definitely seemed to like it all, and I'm very happy about that.

I am a native Californian but I seem to adopt a southern accent every now and then. Perhaps because one of my old friends used to use such expressions.

Thanks, yeah I miss drawing super heroes/villains. At least I have some CoH-related commissions! I get so excited drawing CoH toons.

Usually when I have an artblock, I sketch a lot. Quick, messy drawings. Nothing special. And I think it's worked! I drew a lot the past couple of days and it seems my art is back to normal, and I have even learned a bit more! Well they're small things, but it helps!

Oh man, I'd die without a shower for that long. ;_;
Then again, the sewers don't have showers...

I do agree, the hair also makes it more genrally attractive as a photo. I don't know too many guys who are fond of bald women...

Although for this photoshoot I won't be bald (although I would personally prefer it for detail's sake). Michelle likes to incorporate fashion into her pictures, so I'll have my normal hair, but it'll be messy and frayed and huge. Much like how it was styled at HeroCon.
OH, and she has also recently decided to make it romantic. My zombie ends up falling in love with me. I lol'd. Oh wonderful, you'll all get to see me fake making out with a zombie.

Well, I am, and always have been, a lover of dark, creepy, and horror stuff (Just take a look at my room! ). But at the same time I loooove bright, saturated colors. Seems almost like a contrast of interests but, when I put it on paper it seems that they can go well together? haha. I don't even know. I suppose that's just how I see things.

And sorry for the lack of posts! I'm back to commissions again, so no fun time for a little while. I apologize!

Although, it may be relevant to y'all's interests...my best friend Michelle, who is an amazing photographer, is going to do a photoshoot with me within the next couple of months. The theme? Vahzilok.
She doesn't play CoX, but she liked my costume and she likes the Vahzilok characters (I guess I just don't shut up about them), and she's always wanted to do a 'horror' photoshoot series so this is the perfect opportunity.
We're going to fake a lab in the sewers (mind you, we do nearly all of her shoots in her living room, lol), and I'll be the Vahzilok surgeon working on a cadaver. We always do like 5 main shots per series, so we were thinking we might do a 'process' of me grabbing a helpless citizen and killing them and then creating them into another one of Dr. Vahzilok's reanimated minions.
Oh yeah, and we'll actually be having those ribs that some of the reapers/morts wear. We're also going to try to build the contraption the meat doctors wear, but we're not sure how it would stay up.

I originally did have it in there...and I wasn't sure, so I tried looking online and from what I saw there was nothing that went into the mouth...? So I decided to take it out.
