I would think it needs to be made clear that most of the players (I.E. PAYING CUSTOMERS) do not want this "Launcher".

It seems the biggest consolation is that the program has an option to shut itself down after being run. I suppose it's nice that the program that doesn't need to run in the first place can shut itself off after performing a function that isn't required.

Personally, I have been running CoH very happily without extra crapware for more than 7 years. NCSoft seems to think that I'll have some interest in their other MMORPG's. I can assure them that I do not nor will I. Although BS like this is certainly an encouragement to take my business elsewhere.

But in keeping with silly things, I'm going to go download a menu program and bury my shortcut to Word in it. That way I have to run a menu program, dig down to Word to click it rather than just double-clicking a single Word icon. This makes SO much more sense.....

(This is a classic example of why you never want programmers and marketing people "thinking" together.)

2> The content in it is too obscure and non-heroic to be of any real value with the exception of a few concept characters.
3> See #1, rinse and repeat.

It's that simple. I don't object to paying for content packs if they decide to follow this model, however, they are going to have to get ALOT more compelling before I belly up to the bar with my credit card.

I can look into it Rowr. Maybe make it so they can scroll through. I'll look into it. The small comic covers should all be clickable and link directly to the full sized image in case you didn't know!

Thanks for the input, I really never put much thought on the graphics setting to be honest. The primary purpose was to see if it could be done. I'll experiment with the settings.

Thanks! Glad you liked it. That was done mostly with Poser with editing via GIMP. We have a good time doing them. "Issues" that old don't have any comic content, we've only been doing that for the past three months or so.

Well, the comics are pretty big, 4 and 5 megs respectively in PDF. Is the a preferred large file host thats preferred here?
