  1. Don't you love it when you're on a good PUG team and at the end of the night the leader asks if you want to join their SG and you say yes.

Don't you hate it when after you've helped the SG with 40K prestige they kick you without explaination.
  2. Don't you love it when you get into that SG everyone is talking about and the first night you're on great teams and you get a pile of levels.

Don't you hate it when after that first glorious night you never see another SG member for the rest of that characters life.

Don't you love it when you get that set piece that costs millions at a discount, though still high, price?

Don't you hate it when you realize it's the one you already have?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    yes, more than once.
  4. I'm waaaay past the passive "just like to watch" stage for my kids. It's now, "why are YOU playing? I want to play." "You played last weekend, now it's my turn." "When I go to bed, can you play my character up to the next level?"
  5. Don't you love it: when you finally get to team with that forum person you always wanted to.

Don't you hate it: when you find out it's their kid brother/sister who hijacked their account and doesn't know anything about playing the game.
  6. I just wanted you all to know this is my very favorite thread on all the boards. I can't think of a better place for my 2700th post. I haven't said this before but I wish everyone a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. And may all our kids give us many more funny stories to share.
  7. And now you get your breasts back. At least for short periods of time.
  8. I once named a car B.O.B. (Boring Old Bob) That car was dependable.
  9. except that they're going out of business, I got a Chrysler Pacifica to go with the Explorer we already own. (Yes, kids.) It is a relatively nice mix of sport with LOTS of room and bucket seats for 4, +2 in the back. Seats six and has two rows of folding seats.
  10. Baseball tryouts this weekend and next. And practices start the first weekend of February.
  11. Congratulations Jane.

GP, it's probably not less expensive but there are lots of Hermit Crabs here is SoCal. Not sure you're allowed to take them home but my boys sure do like catching them. And I'm glad you have extra shells because they don't grow their own.

We got the new Guitar Hero, Kung Fu Panda and a dozen Bakugan (probably not spelled right) which the cat seems to like since they roll.

I brought the Geriatric Powerset up on BMT once. I want sagging breasts.. I want them to flap in the wind when I fly.

What was the Woody Allen line from the "Sex" movie? It was just looking for support?
  13. My son's class did this at school yesterday.
  14. Remind your wife that when the doctor says she has to let you sit down, she should let you sit down. Don't want no hubbys on the floor.
  15. I think I had most of it memorized after the 2nd viewing. After all, I've had lots of practice saying everything already.
  16. I sent Ex a note to save this thread. Hopefully that will keep it safe.
  17. The Wii Legos are not the building blocks you are thinking of. It is the Starwars characters made of Legos and when they defeat their opponent, the shatter into Lego blocks. But it's fun. You run around with light sabers, blasters. You even get to "buy" different characters so you can be a good Darth Vader, Yoda or even a ghost.
  18. A first for me ever, I think. I was on at the same time GP was. (I saw you say goodbye. )

GP, happy birth day to your son. For some, healing takes longer.

Re Wii: We got ours last year from Costco. We called the stores every day for when they would get a delivery. They usually can tell you when it is expected. We then haunted the store until they unloaded them. We were such a pest the store manager actually called me at work when they unloaded the truck. (There were only 12 and I walked into the store just as they were bringing the palet onto the floor. ) And I recommend the lego games. Hours and hours of entertainment with the Lego Starwars.
  19. My parents were old and a) hateful for one, and b) with Alzheimer for the other. My spouse's parents live in Europe and own their own business. We had no/0/nada help from anyone.
It's funny to hear our friends complain how they haven't had a vacation, or don't get any help when their parents spent 2 months here when their kids were born, or take their kids for weekend vacations to different places, or stay at their home for a week while the "get away". GP let me know when you find those substitute grandparents. They are welcome to split time in So.Cal. when it's too cold in Canada.

I came up with a way to get cars to slow down.. too many cats killed on my street..and too many near misses for my kids. Holographic Children playing Road Hockey.. and for night time? Old Lady crossing the street.. maybe in another 20 years they'll be common place.

If it is a residential street, ask the City (or County or whatever) to install speed bumps. Several neighborhoods here have them and they work wonders.
  21. Glad to hear the little guy only has something minor. Always worry when they say go to the hospital.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
Wee ones never do like the suction bulb but hey, they understand later on when they're parents. Hope he gets to feeling better and its just a minor thing.
