Guys guys... i know you have been told this before
It's not the number of people viewing in our forum...
it's the girth of their viewing

Come back soon
Well, ok, "between 1 week and x months" but you know...SOON! -

BaBs is probably muzzled from saying anything it about this until Posi has.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not going to comment on it for two reasons.
One, it's way outside of my department. I wasn't involved in the decisions and know absolutely nothing about what was done to who or why (outside of very broad generalities that everyone is already aware of).
Two, it's entirely a customer service issue. It's against the forum rules to discuss customer service issues here on the forums. And whether anyone wants to believe it or not, I'm just as beholden to the rules of these forums as the rest of you.
I was perusing this thread, saw reference to 'Man of La Mancha'--a play that my wife did props for in college--and pointed out that the Golden Helmet of Mambrino was actually a shaving basin.
I probably should have paid more attention to the original topic of the thread and the unintended attention that having a link to an OT post in the Dev Digest would bring to it, and for that I apologize.
[/ QUOTE ]
One - i am glad BABs posted again, it confirmed what so many of us were thinking and
Two - he shouldn't have to apologize for posting any more than any other Justice player and
Three - do you see the bit where he uses the thread to connect us by sharing a part of his personal life? THAT is what justice is about to me. Maybe I'm prejudice because i found several friends and one boyfriend through this community, but that experience is what sells it, and we get to have it with a red-name. Because:

Justice is just Awesome
[/ QUOTE ]
and that's what i was talking about here:

that's very sweet. I agree in spirit and I'm seckritly hoping all the folks that decided to leave recently will come back. and if we must have shame, there'll be plenty the morning after the "thunderbird and cheap hotel room" going away party we have planned for Scimi to close out his norcal trip
[/ QUOTE ]The whole "believe in the game, guys!" explanation is BS. I can believe my [censored] is made of ice cream, but that don't make me a hot fudge sundae. If the game get's better I'll stay, if it stays the way it is, I'm moving to greener pastures.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know how "believe in the game" came out of my original post. And I don't wanna go there or I'll end up like TJ, pulling my hair out over poor reading comprehension skills.
My point is/was that:
[ QUOTE ]
Justice is a great mixing pot of people: raiders, pvpers, rp'ers, badgers, farmers, pl'ers, pug'ers, trolls and even griefers. You name it, Justice probably has it. I don't want people to go regardless of their reasons. I want Justice to stay the great and awesome place it is.
[/ QUOTE ]
In that sense i am motivated by self interest. Justice is my home. I'm unhappy with my home changing, and I hope people will come back. And while it might seem like I am bucking for the position of Justice server's new puppies and rainbows bullsh****r, I'm not naive enough to assume that everyone who's left will magically come back. One - some folks have legit reasons for leaving and two - those reasons are usually *way* more complicated than can be expressed on the boards.
I'm just saying I don't want to see them go. -

Hi all,
As you may be aware I have been away from CoX for a week or so due to the arrival of mah little sidekick James! So to satisfy curiosity attached are a couple of photos. First our very first family photo, when James was about 5 minutes old and the other sitting on his Grandma's knee looking about the shop at approx 15 hours old.

Wee James
[/ QUOTE ]
Is it just me, or does that second photo have the air and look of a plotting villain? Is he a Nemesis Plot?
[/ QUOTE ]
I have consulted with my fellow villains and we approve of this bebeh villain.
May we humbly suggest "Diaper Overlord" as his new title? -
Grats Noodle, Richie, and welcome to James, the little mini farfalle!!
-
Thank you all!
I had dim sum (all the talk on the forums got me hungry for it), went shopping and this:[ QUOTE ]

(I can say that since he never checks the forums anymore)

well lets say the boy can eat

I just realized that I should probably start fasting now to help counteract all the feasting that's going to be going on while he's in town.
[/ QUOTE ]
He took my new diet as a personal threat. I swear, we were on the phone talking about reducing calories and suddenly all i hear is growling and "my sammich", "you can't have it!". It took me a while to get him to calm down -

[ QUOTE ]
BaBs is an artist... you really think of all the Paragon employees he'd be the one to comment on the original topic of the thread with anything important? And additionally, if an official response WAS forthcoming, you expect it to happen in a Justice forum thread?
I'm a developer... if I go to a forum for a game I've worked on and talk about company policies I am at best, talking about stuff that is way outside my job description and none of my business, and at worst, risking my job by talking about such things. Even if said forum is full of the best and greatest people on the planet, I've got no business doing that sort of thing. And they've got no business expecting me to.
[/ QUOTE ]
I am afraid I have to agree with this. BABs is not in any place to take the initiative to comment on this issue in an unofficial manner in a specific justice forum thread; or, since I feel the following is very much the case:
[ QUOTE ]
If BaBs were to even make a comment saying, "Hey, I can't comment on this until an official statement has come out," that'd be cool, but I'm pretty certain that a bunker mentality has made the head honchos decree that no one can comment on this until they have, and even acknowledging it is tantamount to treason.
[/ QUOTE ]
he might very well get into some form of trouble (possibly quite serious) for doing so. I wouldnt ask that of him, even though I too would like to see some acknowledgement of the mishandling of the situation. Thats unfair of me, hes not just on the dev team, he is, if I am not mistaken, a fellow Justice player. Manoa said it best:
[ QUOTE ]
Additionally, I'd like to add that I don't see his post as intending to detract from the issue at hand, but to inject a little humor in an existing joke tangent. Such tangents are no different from any other Justice thread or poster actions and to view his post as some sort of slight is reading a bit much into things.
[/ QUOTE ]
And as a fellow Justicite, BABs has as much right to wander into a thread and throw mustard at someone as anyone else. Again, as much as so many of us want something this isnt the place and BABs isnt the person.
The upside has, again, been said first by someone better than me.
[ QUOTE ]
It does tell you that at least *some* red names have read this thread.
[/ QUOTE ]
Im glad that one of those red names is reaching out to try and rekindle that Justice-goofyness-in-the-threads feel. If making a quick joke is all he can do, or wisely should do seeing as how he is an artist, then I am glad he did that. -
Thanks Mod8 for all the suggestions, i still gotta feed the Scimi that night, and even though there's no dim sum at night; he likes Thai, cafes...well lets say the boy can eat
So any suggestions are helpful and appreciated!
I agree with Manoa on the house rules of no ambushing Paragon studios folks if they should choose to come. That would be a real priviledge (priveledge?) that not evereyone who plays the game gets to have. I do have enough faith though in the Nor Cal people who have expressed interest that they understand that. -
Or, since it's Davis, we could get in our cars and drive around running over as many cyclists as we can
What? I'm a villain! -

I wonder if you can use milk bones to convince a dog to lie to God about what it has seen you do... -
thanks, you know i didn't put 2 + 2 together that i never have seen it offered at dinner time. too busy eatin to be thinking. perhaps I can find a decent dim sum place for scimi's first taste on his arrival. although his flight gets in just before 2, so that might also be too late. poo.

And yes, Scimi and I do have a hotel room. We are thinking cheap hotel by the airport and several bottles of Thunderbird. Who's in?
[/ QUOTE ]
If you and Scimi are going to stay at a hotel by the airport, I know a good dim sum place in Millbrae that we can meet up.
[/ QUOTE ]
You're on, Scimi has never had dim sum, which is a mistake that must be corrected. Burgers for lunch, dim sum for dinner, and a seedy hotel room and a case of Thunderbird for dessert!
Or would we prefer Night Train?
On a side note, when i lived in toledo in the '90s we had Frish's and Elias big boys. Periodically the bid boy statue for the Secor Ave restaurant would get it's head cut off. -

Looks like the Murder burger run is shaping up.
I have asked Scimi to post his appreciations, but his ISP is having problems.
This will be my first Murder Burger run, I have been dying to try the ostrich.
I have to say other than In and Out, we have a Willies here in Sac that does burgers so good your heart will asplode. Plus there's Hamburger Patties, where I like to stop in for the peanut butter burgers :yum:
I think we may mosey over to japan or chinatown for foods upon arrival the 5th. Both would please Scimi greatly.
And yes, Scimi and I do have a hotel room. We are thinking cheap hotel by the airport and several bottles of Thunderbird. Who's in? -
While I am not an expert on the subject, I have seen Scimi enjoy a tasty burger on occasion. I also know it would mean alot to him to be able to see all the Justice NorCal folks.
I think he said that the 11th would be the best day for him as well and lunch at the murder burger the day before would be the perfect send off as we are driving to the bay area to stay that night so's i can gets him to the airport on time(because his plane leaves at o-dark-thirty in the morning on the 12th...
)
On a related note, since i gotta feed him in the city when he gets in on the 5th, any good recommendations for lunching locations?
