Event to take place on
The Palladium Sentry has reached it's third year of existence! Join us the night of May 30th to commemorate our anniversary. The Sentry was created on May 30th 2008 by the Knight Sentinel (@Knight Sentinel) as an attempt to join the ranks of established RPSGs on the Virtue Server. Since then, we have grown significantly in number, and are proud to announce our third anniversary!
The Palladium Sentry 3rd Anniversary Gala General Costume Contest

Location: Atlas Park, Atlas Square
Time: 4pm - 5pm
Awards:
First Prize 550 Million Influence
Second Prize 200 Million Influence
Third Prize 100 Million Influence
We will begin our festivities at 4pm in Atlas Park where we will have a costume contest open to the public! Bring out your best "classic hero feel" costumes and show us what style means! Tasteful use of costume sets, synthesized costume components, central theme, and creativity will be judged. No AoE Auras, Costume Auras are Fine. Characters that place in one CC cannot place in the other.
Please allow up to an hour for judging.
Whining, trolling, etc is very likely to get you disqualified.

At 5pm, we will hold our RPCC. While we tend to favor classic hero themes, with proper justification and context, any character has a reasonable shot at placing. Character biographies are pivotal in judgment, as is tasteful use of costume sets, synthesized costume components, central theme, and creativity. No AoE Auras, Costume Auras are Fine. While non RP characters may still win this competition, however, we encourage nonRPers to join our General CC. Characters that place in one CC cannot place in the other.

Here at the Palladium Sentry, we really value a good VirtueVerse. VirtueVerse is a great tool to tell the story of your character, and add some remarkable depth and insight into that story. A good VirtueVerse page accomplishes these things by displaying artwork, graphics, and of course narratives of your hero. Then, we will be hosting a formal gala to celebrate this benchmark in our history, so remember to dress the part. Suggested attire for the event for men is a suit and tie, or a collared shirt; women: dresses or suits. There will be an open bar, and fully catered buffet at the back of the ballroom. Guests should line up outside of Atlas Park, and a bouncer will escort you into our ballroom once you have joined their team. The party will be an RP event, so please RP if you plan on joining us.

The Palladium Sentry will be holding a costume competition in order to spread the yuletide spirit this Christmas! We will be giving away 1 billion influence in our General Costume Contest. Join us at 7pm in the Ski Chalet for a chance to win up to 600 million influence! We will be looking for creative costumes which employ attractive color schemes, tasteful use of costume sets, synthesize costume components into a central theme, and will also heavily consider creativity in costume use. Character Biographies DO contribute to judging, but will NOT be required to win. Roleplay does not effect judging.

The Palladium Sentry Winter Gala – Architect Arc Competition

Time: 6pm – 9pm

Third Prize – 150 Million Influence
The Warden of the Zigursky Penitentiary has permitted a repentant convict to visit his family this Christmas, but he has pulled enough of the good guy act in prison that many inmates are furious at the warden’s favoritism! There have been riots at the Zig, and you have been called in to escort the prisoner home to his family.
Players must provide rostered teams of up to 7- they will be accompanied by a Sentry escort who will not contribute to the mission. Each mission will contain sub goals which, upon completion, will give the party a code worth a point value. The team to complete the most side missions gains the most points. Points will also be awarded for fast completion. In order to compete, teams must be assembled prior to the event, and must split the prize allocations evenly.
Details on Point Distribution will be described following the judging of the event, Points for completion time will be released when the arc has been authored and evaluated. -

On August 28th the Sentry will launch its most highly aspired roleplay to date: Denouement. The Sentry is a group of heroes lead by the Knight Sentinel. His Origin involves a shady past with the Society of Rouren, a European counterpart of the Circle of Thorns. They have surfaced from his past and devised a way to exact their revenge on him. The have channeled the power of a villain that the Sentry just BARELY managed to defeat before. The SoR thinks that they can tame the power of the poltergeist spirit Red Moon, but they are wrong- dead wrong. Now they have unleashed a force on this Earth too great to imagine. The Sentry's Mystics have foreseen the Knight Sentinel's perdition, and with the incumbent birth of his child, the vulnerability of his wife, and the sheer overwhelming threat of this enemy. The Sentry has been staving them off for months now, but this story is reaching its apex- and preparing for its denouement.
