    At SlickRiptide's request,

I was the first poster to hit P10K. I was given the opportunity to choose the name, and selected Forum Cartel due to the meme at the time that a select group of forum posters were able to control dev decisions.

Someone else will have to explain the full origins of the "forum cartel" label, however.

    [/ QUOTE ]

See my post in the "Who's in the Cartel" thread! It explains everything. Around page 11 or so.. one minute, I'll pull a link up.

EDIT: Presto! And I was right with page 11. About 3/4 down the page.
  2. Name: The New Freaks

    Contact: @Anti-Catwhoorg; Teh Pwnxx0rz in-game

Website: None yet, will make on eventually if I get a good response.

Theme: After being defeated and having his badges stolen for the upteenth time, Teh Pwnxx0rz was kicked from the Freakshow. Enraged, he formed his own group of outcast Freaks.

Requirements: There is no naming policy, but there are a few theme rules to remember. You should have powersets based off some kind of Freak (Juicers -> Electric powers; Swipers -> Claws) and a decent Freakshow costume (You obviously can't have a big metal claw, but you get the idea).

QFT - that is just an example of a group that might be in a Mayhem Mish.

Anyway, most of the mayhem missions will be in Oranbega...

LOL, I just snorted juice out of my nose!

I want some juice I drank my last juice box this morning.

    ...

Can I have some juice, Athyna?

I must be odd or something, because I actually enjoy the Orenbega maps. I find them extremely well made, texture-wise, they're a challenge, which I enjoy, and they are SOOO much better than those frigging blue tunnels in PP. Now THOSE I despise.

Of course, that mission in Orenbega where you have to rescue, what? 25 magicians, that bordered on tedious.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That is the single worst mission ever created.

    Ever.

    Seriously.

  7. I can't belive States responded to a post called "For the kitties, nyo!". I still don't see why you insist on saying "nyo".

But you can keep the past in line.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No. Because if you didn't go back in time then the vase was still stolen. If you went back and stole it would change nothing as your timeline would be the exact same.

In this theory if you went back and tried to kill your grandfather then reality would stop you. Or it wouldn't and the whole time line would collaspe.

Anyway COH seems to use the alternate timelines theory.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Uhh... that's what I said.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
Hey there boys & girls! Just dropped by to say howdy. Yep, still around, still with NCsoft. As some of you may know, I'm working on Tabula Rasa. Who wouldn't jump at the chance to work with Lord British? Anyway, I miss all of you (well, okay, most of you). Oh, hell, some of you...

Hey, things change in this business. Projects come up and interesting opportunities present themselves. But despite all the shifting and shuffling, know that CoH/CoV is in good hands and will remain that way. So no fear.

    Keep having fun.

    -Gil

Curses! I thought I had that lock set to only let you out while I was around to fanboy

Aaaanyway, good to see ya again.

Didn't you just spell out the plot behind Time Squad?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I always liked that show. But the theme is true, history must be kept in order or there may never be anyone to keep it in order.
  14. [ QUOTE ]

    1. You can't change the past. All actions you have done have been done already so time travel in this instance is useless.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But you can keep the past in line. I'll use the example I used in that other thread a while back:

Let's say history books say that a priceless vase was stolen from a mueseum some 200 years ago. So, someone could go back in time to when it shoudl be stolen, and make sure that it was stolen. If no one comes to steal it, the Time Traveler would have to steal it, in order to keep history the way it should be. By not stealing the vase, history would have to totally rewrite itself from that point on. Temporal fluxes and rapid changes occur. Theoretically, the time stream would mess with someone's memory (or maybe they just never existed) so that theey fit into the new reality. But if someone wa reminded of their previous life, and remembered it, then the time stteam and reality itself would come undone.

And they all lived happily ever after.
  15. Yup.. I still can't draw.

Aaannnyway, complaining about my brain aside, you guys are great. These are some great pieces of art, and you're doing them to make a young boy happy. Keep up the good work! I'll still be here... crying softly in the shadows..

    A fond farewell

    *kicks Alexa in the shin*

Jerk! no leaving! Tis a rule!

Also note: I have nailed the Dev's feet to the floor, as well as duct taped them to myself. No work is getting done (except pohsyb, always in his box, that one), but they're not going anywhere.

give him an animated gif of "castling"

    [/ QUOTE ]

    O.o

This one I like! Now where do we find a gif of someone actually castling...

    [/ QUOTE ]

How about using a digital camera, a tripod, and a chessboard, and make a form of stop motion video, similar to what is done to create claymation.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Knox's Korner FTW.

A while ago a few friends and I made some Claymations - my favorite was one where this stupid guy punched this guy for calling him dimb. Then he tackled him and punched him again, and blood shot out everywhere. Then a KNEX peice came down from the heavens and stabbled them both, as "Happy Birthday" flashed across the screen. It was pure magic, I tell you.

That's just way too amazing. How I wish I had any sort of skill at all. Even if it was just being able to draw something similar to a line. Stupid brain. Kick in, left side!! (that's right, isn't it? Left is "artsy", right is "fartsey"? )

I'm sad Everytime I come to this forum I feel depressed 'cause I can't draw. But I just can't stay away from such incredible art. It's not fair! *cries*

Any hero that has the one year anniversary badge and logs in during the next anniversary event will receive a special gladiator badge.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wait, so there's only a reward if you were around last year? Or will newer characters at least get a badge similar to Celebrant for the 2nd anniversary?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, newer characters will get an Anniversary badge.

The gladiator is for having BOTH Anniversary badges.

You guys needs to throw one up these up North sometime - Canucks need lovin' too! (I'll bring the David Usher, Arctic Sun... I swear he's in this pile somewhere)

I'll tell Hex to be good. Honest.

On an unrelated note, I nearly slapped the guy at my local CCG store. He has no plans to carry CoH, let alone the fact he didn't even know what it was. Blasphemy!

Yeah. My local Gamestop just kinda looked at me funny when I asked about it
