I know that there are people that enjoy that side more, but it's time to realize that the many, many flaws in the implementation of that side means that the population will always be lower. Time spent making new strike forces in the lowbie game could be spent making co-op or hero content that will get used a lot more.
That being said, I only really expect co-op or paired content from here on out, I highly doubt they will release any hero-only content though, because the devs are obviously taking pains to maintain parity of new content between sides. -

I'm unsure exactly if power visual effects would fall under this preview, but here are a couple things that I would like for alternate animations/effects
For Energy Blast, I would like the set to have alternate power effect animations that are more like laser blasts, or really anything that isn't 'bubbly' like the current energy blast
For Ice Armor and the Ice shields from Cold Domination, I would like a more minimalistic Ice Armor option, perhaps like Hoarfrost-like, for differentiation, particles could orbit the character, like with Thermal Radiation's fire shields and Minerals.
Edit: Also, it if is possible to change on-hit reactions, please add the Ghost Widow hold animation as an option for Gravity, it would fit the set thematically as well as provide better visual feedback that your target is held. -
