He means when it comes to folks "losing" you. CD lacks the -Speed of Stealth, thus it is technically better. Me, I think having CD be more like Hide (with the total invis with one power, not the damage-spiking thing) would be a trade off for addition of suppression.

True *cough* Trip Mines *cough*, but new issues do tend to bring along a bit of jumpiness. Or in this case (?) some misplaced blame. Instead of seeing an AI change (if there was one) folks see a change to Cloaking Device. -
This could very well be the case.

The hostages and the ambushers are two different things IMO. If one can't see you whilst Cloaked or Stealthed or Hidden ow whatever, neither should the other.

Hide, not Stealth. Well... unless you're taking Stealth on your Stalker. CD hasn't changed, as has been stated repeatedly now. Perhaps it's an AI thing. Not saying that the AI's changed, mind you. It might have or maybe the AI's reacting the way it's supposed to. Whether it did before or not's another question. I mean, it makes sense. You go all see-thru, folks shouldn't... well... be able to see you.

It's not getting off track. The OP's talking about tooling thru PI and now getting shot for his trouble. I suspect he's just been lucky up until now.

Update: Doing a Malta mission, not a safe guard mission: SG + CD (unsuppressed) + Trip Mine = BOOM!. Walking up to a Malta = aggro about about 10-15 feet, which is the norm I encounter for CD and Stealth.

Beats me. Like I said, I don't mess with CD anymore. Maybe Malta got a +Perception bump? Hate it for toe-bombers. Now, instead of CD+SS or SG, you need CD+SS+SG.

Ah, maybe they could see thru a 2-stack of -Perp but not a 3-stack and CD was brought inline with other -Perp powers? Technically, this wouldn't be a "negative" change in that CD's not worse than Stealth, in regards to -Perp, but now at the same level as Stealth. Just a guess. Someone with more experiance with Stealth or CD or similar will have to check things out.

There you go. Which brings us back to the questions of stacking. Are you stacking? Also, there are certain mob-types (in addition to snipers) that can see thru your cloak. Are you doing things you've always done against mobs you've been fighting before TheAedile?

Pretty sure rescued hostages lose you when Cloaked. Can't really say as I stopped bothering with CD. I know they lose me when I'm running a Stalker. It might be the same with CD, but since it's not total invis, like Hide, it's hard to say. As far as non-snipers taking shots at you, are you stacking CD with Superspeed? Are you stacking it with Smoke Grenades? CD doesn't give you total invisiblity and needs to be stacked otherwise mobs will fire at you when you get too close.
That isn't to say that there wasn't a CD nerf. There've been nerfs to powersets (including to Devices' Trip Mines nerf of I3) that don't get announced in the patch notes. -

More then likely, other plans are in the works too, possibly good or bad. Hopefully, not bad, as Castle did post some of his ideas here first and should they bad, the mobs will likely look to burn blasters at the stake first

Exactly. If they "balanced" Electro-Blaster drain based on the fear that multiple Electro-Blasters on a team would be overpowered, yet allowed "Buffer Overrun" to exist I'd be even more pissed about their handling of Elec than I already am. I don't think team stacking was a major consideration Night_Fyre. Hasn't been for any other AT or powerset. -
